This Rock Legend Just Won a Prestigious Food Award

Jon Bon Jovi just won a prestigious award — and it has nothing to do with music.

The “You Give Love a Bad Name” singer won the 2026 James Beard Impact Award for his philanthropy work with the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation and his nonprofit restaurant, JBJ Soul Kitchen.

“Since 2006, the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation has worked to break the cycle of hunger, poverty, and homelessness,” the James Beard Foundation wrote in a statement announcing the honorees, noting that the foundation has built housing for thousands of people in need.

The singer and his wife, Dorothea Bongiovi, have also operated JBJ Soul Kitchen since 2011. With four locations in New Jersey, the “community restaurant” offers donation-based meals to families and individuals, along with a Pay-It-Forward program where patrons can make an additional donation to subsidize food for a neighbor in need. The restaurants serve up full three-course meals, with a soup or salad, an entree, and a dessert.

“JBJ Soul Kitchen offers more than just a meal,” the James Beard Foundation wrote, “it fosters meaningful connections with guests through community outreach including job training, resume support, employment assistance, partnerships with local mental health providers, and access to housing resources.”

In the food and drink world, a James Beard Award is the highest honor you can get. The Impact Award is new, introduced only last year. The “Livin’ on a Prayer” singer will be recognized along with this year’s other honorees at a ceremony in Chicago on June 14, as well as at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards Ceremony the next day.

Other Impact Award honorees include the Coatlition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), Sen. Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico, ReFED, and the Southern Smoke Foundation. No Us Without You, an organization in Los Angeles, has won the Humanitarian of the Year Award.

The Hershey Company to restore real chocolate in iconic treats after criticism

I didn’t even realize that the ice cream aisle had some fakes. My friend said to make sure the label says “ice cream,” not “frozen dessert,” because they don’t taste the same. He was right.

Swapping Real Chocolate for Cheap Ingredients

This sent me down a rabbit hole, looking more closely at ingredient lists of my favorite treats. I soon learned that Hershey has been skimping on the key ingredient they are famous for: chocolate.

The Hershey company cheapened the ingredients to make cheaper candy, and maybe consumers didn’t notice the “recipe evolution” right away, but Brad Reese, whose grandfather, H.B. Reese, invented the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, cried “foul.”

Reese’s Social Media Post

“The Seeking Alpha Transcript They Didn’t Expect Anyone to Read,” Hershey’s Investor Day 2026 transcript makes one thing unmistakably clear:

The REESE’S ingredient drift wasn’t an accident; it was a strategy. And the evidence is in their own words.

When the Hershey Company CEO tells Wall Street:

“We changed our and we transformed our cost structure.”

“This is that productivity machine that allows us to be more efficient.”

That’s not a supply chain update. That’s the blueprint for why REESE’S consumers are tasting waxy texture, muted flavor and altered melt.

When The Hershey Company frames its future around:

“Recipe evolution.”

“Portfolio effectiveness.”

“Premiumization.”

“Modernizing our brand building.”

Those aren’t marketing buzzwords. They’re the corporate euphemisms for reformulating legacy brands like REESE’S to hit margin targets.

And when the CEO lays out the financial horizon:

“We expect to deliver earnings recovery by 2027.” You can draw a straight line from that sentence to the REESE’S ingredient shortcuts now being quietly reversed under media pressure.

The transcript even confirms the pressure on the core brands:

“Our brands REESE’S and HERSHEY’S are growing faster than the rest of our business right now.”

Translation:

REESE’S is the financial engine and engines get optimized, even if REESE’S products gets compromised.

This is why the Bloomberg story matters. This is why The Business Times story matters. This is why the REESE’S ingredient reversals matter.

Because the Seeking Alpha transcript shows the truth:

The REESE’S ingredient drift was intentional. The reversal is partial.

And the governance bodies approved the plan. The The Hershey Company Board of Directors. The Hershey Trust Company Trustees. The Board of Managers of the Milton Hershey School. They signed off on a strategy that treated the REESE’S formula as a cost variable instead of an asset to protect. And now The Hershey Company is trying to unwind that decision slowly, quietly and on a 2027 timeline while insisting it’s all just “small investments.”

The Seeking Alpha transcript says otherwise.

What’s your take?”

A Sweet Solution

Hershey will return real chocolate to some classic candies. The company will replace a chocolate compound coating with milk and dark chocolate in all products by 2027, according to Bloomberg.

Study Analyzes 1,000 Songs to Find the Ultimate Workout Playlist

If your workout playlist feels stale, new data may have the answer you’ve been looking for.

A new study has revealed which popular tracks actually perform best during workouts. The results may change what you listen to when you work up a sweat.

How a New Study Ranked the Best Workout Songs

An active senior runner moves to his favorite tracks while this piece explores what a detailed study of 1,000 songs says makes the ultimate workout playlist.

In March 2026, the team at Instant Hydration shared the results of a new study with Men’s Journal. The research offers practical guidance on building the ultimate workout playlist that can help keep your heart rate up the next time you exercise. The company also explained the methodology the study used:

“The study looked at the 25 most popular workout playlists on Spotify and collected a list of over 1,000 tracks. By looking at how many times each artist appeared in music collections and what their most repeated songs were, the research identified the most popular tracks. The final ranking was made up of the most energetic songs, with beats per minute (BPM) of 120+.”

According to the findings of the study, the most popular workout track right now is Eminem‘s “‘Till I Collapse.” The song has been streamed more than 2.44 billion times on Spotify alone and appeared on four of the popular playlists that were analyzed. It also clocks in at 171.4 beats per minute.

The next track on the list is Britney Spears’ “Toxic,” a song that has long been known to energize listeners. The 2004 track has a 143 beats per minute rate and also appeared on four of the playlists.

Third place goes to the 2011 song “N****s In Paris” from Jay-Z and Kanye “Ye” West. The study notes that the 140 beats per minute track has been described as “perfect for lifting” and great for giving you a second wind.

The Study’s List in Reverse Order:

  • 11. 21 Savage – “redrum”
  • 10. Mustard – “Pure Water” (with Migos)
  • 9. Central Cee – “Doja”
  • 8. Metro Boomin – “Like That”
  • 7. Bad Bunny – “NUEVAYoL”
  • 6. Kanye “Ye” West – “POWER”
  • 5. Drake – “Jimmy Cooks” (feat. 21 Savage)
  • 4. Travis Scott – “FE!N” (feat. Playboi Carti)
  • 3. JAY-Z and Kanye “Ye” West – “N****s In Paris”
  • 2. Britney Spears – “Toxic”
  • 1. Eminem – “‘Till I Collapse”

Alongside releasing the findings of their study, Instant Hydration included the following statement on the importance of properly hydrating after pushing yourself hard during a workout.

“The endurance boost from music is great, but it comes with a cost that most people don’t factor in. Longer, more intense sessions driven by high-tempo tracks lead to more sweat, higher heart rates, and faster depletion of both fluids and electrolytes. Fast-tempo music improves running performance and acts as an ergogenic aid during aerobic activity, but the harder you go, the more your recovery depends on what you put back in.”

50 Cent Just Agreed that There’s One Rapper He’ll Never Beef With

Grammy-winning rapper 50 Cent isn’t exactly shy to be forthcoming about whatever he’s thinking. In fact, he may be the world’s most prolific celebrity troller, and his track record of beefing with rappers, singers, and more is well-documented on social media. Heck, it was just a few weeks ago that he was in a viral feud with T.I. and nearly all of the Harris family, and only a week ago, he was trolling Usher for the “Yeah” singer’s unwavering support of fallen hip-hop mogul Diddy.

That being said, one celeb just noted in an interview that he would never engage in a beef with the “In Da Club” rapper. Shockingly, 50 Cent actually agreed with the sentiment.

50 Cent and Snoop Dogg  Agree They Won’t Beef with Each Other

50 Cent took to Instagram and posted a video of Snoop Dogg speaking in an interview. During the discussion, the interviewer says to the “Drop It Like It’s Hot” hip-hop star, “I saw something the other day, how you respect him [50 Cent], and he’s definitely one guy you will never have beef with.”

Snoop Dogg replies, “No, we gonna do business, that’s what we gonna do. I’m not going to play with 50. We gonna do business because he’s a great businessman. And we respect each other enough to know that, you know, there’s a level of respect. And when you respect somebody, you don’t even go into that bag of disrespect, because there’s too much respect.”

50 Cent captioned the video with “@snoopdogg is solid I feel the same way bro. 🫡 let’s get it ! @50centaction@phlivenyc

Now, considering that both rappers discussed the possibility of doing business with each other, one has to wonder what that could mean in the future. Fans know that Snoop Dogg has previously starred in 50 Cent’s executive-produced BMF, so perhaps the two will do more work together in the TV and film world.

Google Finally Announces Major Gmail Change for All U.S. Users

This week, Google announced a rather significant change for all of its users in the United States that feels like it was a long time coming.

If you’ve ever found yourself with an old Gmail address that you wish you could change but don’t want to lose all of your contacts and emails, Google has made a change that will greatly help you out.

Google Allows Users to Change Gmail Address

On Tuesday, Google announced that users could now change their Gmail address without losing their progress.

“Tired of your old Gmail address? Well, good news: Google is rolling out a way to change your account username without starting over,” Google announced in a video on Tuesday.

In the past, the only way to get a new Gmail address was to start a new account and stop using the old account. Now, however, users will be able to simply change the address on their existing account.

“Don’t worry about your old emails,” the video continued. “Your original address will stay on your account as an alternate.”

How to Change Your Address

Users who have access to this feature can go to their Google Account settings, navigate to Personal info, then to Email, followed by the “Google Account” email option. Then, simply tap on the “Change Google Account email” button to start the process of changing your username.

It’s worth noting that not everyone will have access to this feature immediately, but Google has begun rolling it out to users in the United States, and it should be available to everyone soon.

Things to Know

While this does allow users to change their username, there are limits. Users will be able to change their username only once every 12 months, and they won’t be able to delete their new email address for that period of time.

Additionally, the company said users’ old emails will be preserved, and the old email address will serve as an alternate address for the account.

Users will be able to sign in to Google services using both the old and the new addresses.

Must See: Kevin Harvick, Son Keelan Have Uncanny Driving Resemblance

Kevin Harvick might know NASCAR’s next star pretty well. In fact, he might be influencing his driving style without even knowing it. Harvick’s son, Keelan, is 13 and has already signed a long-term deal with Toyota Racing Development. He’s following in the path of his father, and taking after his skills, too. That was displayed in a side-by-side shot on the latest episode of “SPEED with Harvick and Buxton” that showed the two Harvick’s behind the wheel of a car. Each of Keelan Harvick’s motions mimicked his famous father’s — from his hand placement on the wheel to his mannerisms. “I’m not sure which is which, mate,” Will Buxton said on the show. “I had to rewind it, and you look at his hand, and the way he turns his steering wheel, and everything that he’s doing in there. I’m definitely glad to know that he’s 100 percent mine,” Kevin Harvick opined. “I guess he’s listening.” While the two have a friendly father-son rivalry on the track in past racing showdowns, Keelan Harvick won Saturday night at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, leading the majority of the race to earn his first CARS Tour West Pro Late Model victory of the season in the 125-lap Terrible Herbst Showdown. Meanwhile, his father was surprised on-air Sunday with the news he was one of the 15 people named as nominees for induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2027. Nancy Guthrie Update: April 1 Marks New Milestone in Case

On Wednesday, March 1, the investigation into Nancy Guthrie and her disappearance reached a new milestone: 60 days. It’s sad to think that this search is now past the two-month mark, and authorities still haven’t named a suspect or suspects.

Nancy Guthrie, the mother of NBC “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, was first reported missing from her Tucson, Arizona, residence on Feb. 1. Since then, investigators have released doorbell camera footage of a masked suspect and offered a description of the potential abductor. As the search passes two months, let’s look at what we know now.

Nancy Guthrie Update Today: Search Hits 60 Days

NBC has confirmed that Savannah Guthrie will return to the “Today” show on April 6. In her first sit-down interview since the tragic incident, Savannah opened up to “Today” show co-host Hoda Kotb about the harrowing search for her mother.

“It’s hard to imagine doing it because it’s such a place of joy and lightness, and I can’t come back and try to be something that I’m not,” Savannah told Hoda Kotb in part three of the interview, which aired on March 27. “But I can’t not come back, because it’s my family. I think it’s part of my purpose right now.”

Savannah also said that it was pure “chaos and disbelief” when she found out that her mother was gone.

“She said, she’s gone,” Savannah said, according to Fox 2 Phoenix. “And we – she was in a panic. I was in a panic. I’m, like, call 911. She’s like, I did. We’ve called them. They’re here.”

She added, “We thought that she must have had, like, some kind of medical episode in the night and that somehow, you know, the paramedics had come, because the back doors were propped open, you know, and that didn’t make any sense.”

Beware of Fundraising Scams for Nancy Guthrie Case

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department is warning the public about fundraising scams surrounding the case.

“Please be advised there is no official GoFundMe or any fundraising effort associated with the Guthrie investigation,” the sheriff’s department said, according to Fox 2 Phoenix.

So, the search for Nancy Guthrie continues. So far, there have been lots of questions and few answers. But, as of April 1, it’s hit 60 days.
