Keith Urban’s Girlfriend & Dating History Explained
Keith Urban has only had one wife, actress Nicole Kidman. They married in 2006 and had two kids together.
Kidman filed for divorce, and that new development has Urban’s dating history back in the news. Kidman has a more colorful dating history than Urban; she was married to Tom Cruise, and dated Lenny Kravitz, actor Marcus Graham, and actor/singer Tom Burlinson, according to US Weekly.
“People close to Keith felt like the split was kind of inevitable,” a source told Peopleof Kidman and Urban. There has been no confirmation beyond anonymous sources about the reason for the divorce.
Urban’s relationship list is shorter than Kidman’s.
Keith Urban Dating Supermodel Niki Taylor
According to Stylecaster, Urban dated supermodel Niki Taylor for two years “in the early 2000s.”
They lived together, had matching tattoos, and she appeared “in Urban’s music video for ‘Somebody Like You,”” Stylercaster reported.

“His career got really busy, I got really busy, and we never saw each other,” she told People. “We’re still friends, and I’m so happy for him and Nicole.”
Laura Sigler Had a Warning for Nicole Kidman
Urban’s ex-girlfriend Laura Sigler had a warning for Kidman before Kidman married Urban, according to TODAY.
Urban opened up about the relationship on a podcast, Q With Tom Power, in early 2025. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution described Sigler as a veterinary assistant from Nashville; they were in a long-term relationship that ended in 2002, AJC reported.
Daily Mail ran throwback photos of Sigler and Urban. They dated for eight years and were even engaged.
Keith Urban Said an Ex-Girlfriend Inspired the Song, ‘Somebody Like You’
Urban revealed that an ex-girlfriend was the inspiration for his song “Somebody Like You” on the podcast Q With Tom Power.
“I was in a bad way personally, struggling a lot, and I was in a relationship that was not…” he said. “I wasn’t in a good way, and I thought at the time, ‘My girlfriend seems to really love me. I wish I could love myself the way she seems to.'”
“So the song was actually, ‘I want to love somebody like you do, I want to love me like you do.'”
He told the podcaster: “She hears it as a love song, and it finished, and she just looks at me, she goes, ‘You’re a [expletive] hypocrite,’ and then walked out of the room. She’s like, ‘You don’t want to love anyone, you’re just an [expletive].’ And she wasn’t wrong. It wasn’t the guy I was, it was the guy I wished I could be.”
“Nicole and Keith might date for a while — but it won’t last very long,” Laura Sigler told the The Sun, per TODAY. “I don’t know her but I know him very well.”
She continued: “There were a lot of lows… I don’t have any dark past — he was probably the darkest part, but I’m on my own now and I’m happy about that.”
Keith Urban Once Said Meeting Nicole Kidman Was ‘Life-Changing’
“Yeah, I had to surrender a lot to struggles I had, and get help with that, and just be willing to recognize that I was an alcoholic, simple as that,” Urban revealed to CBS News.
He explained how Kidman changed his life.
“Meeting her and getting married wasn’t life-changing, it was life-beginning,” Urban said of his only wife and the mother of his two daughters. “It was literally like, ‘Okay, now life starts.'”
“When you go and see Keith live, that’s when you really get to know him,” Kidman told CBS. “And you see the musicianship, I mean it’s extraordinary, and I know nothing about guitar other than I like how it sounds.”
Model Amanda Wyatt once made accusations about Urban, but his rep denied them, according to Page Six.

Here’s How Much The Rock’s ‘Smashing Machine’ Is Expected To Make On Opening Weekend

Dwayne Johnson is swinging back into theaters with a movie unlike anything he’s done before. And, his new film, The Smashing Machine, will be going head-to-head with a Taylor Swift movie that’s not really even a movie. Can the Rock survive? Or is what Taylor’s cooking too strong? Here’s how much we can expect The Smashing Machine to make on opening weekend.
What is The Smashing Machine’s Projected Opening Weekend Box Office?
The Smashing Machine will be released by studio A24 on October 3 in theaters nationwide. However, A24, despite its excellent reputation, is still very much an indie studio, meaning this movie isn’t tracking for a massive opening. Instead, The Smashing Machine is expected to have a modest $8 million to $15 million opening, according to Variety. This figure puts it behind projections for Taylor Swift’s album-release cinema event, The Official Release Party of a Showgirl. (To be clear, the Official Release Party of a Showgirl isn’t a true film, but rather, an in-person promotional film for the new Swift album The Life of a Showgirl.)
What is The Smashing Machine’s Rotten Tomatoes Score?
The Smashing Machine is a biopic about a real MMA fighter named Mark Kerr (played by Johnson), and is a dramatization of a documentary with a similar title: The Smashing Machine: The Life and Times of Extreme Fighter Mark Kerr, which was released in 2002. The new movie is directed by Benny Safdie and co-stars Emily Blunt.
Currently, The Smashing Machine holds an impressive 78 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. This includes, as of this writing, only reviews from film critics. The audience score and box office will, perhaps, tell another story.
The Smashing Machine opens on October 3, 2025.

Five Houses Collapse Into Ocean Within an Hour as Hurricane Waves Smash Coast

It was a bad day for beach houses in Buxton, North Carolina.
The tiny oceanfront town of about 1,000 people on Cape Hatteras, in the popular Outer Banks region, saw not one but five beach houses completely collapse into the water within just about 60 minutes of each other. Three of the houses were on the same street, but all were within a half-mile of each other.
Social media users captured the heartbreaking aftermath of one home’s demise, as its once-oceanfront porch floated away and pieces of debris kept slamming back into the elevated home.
Local journalist Sam Walker posted footage of the incident on X, with the caption: “BREAKING: Five houses collapsed over a roughly 60 minute period this afternoon in Buxton.”

The Island Free Press reports that the oldest of the homes damaged in today’s event is a one-story cottage built in 1970; the newest structure, a two-story, four-bedroom home, was built in 1995.
The damage took place over the course of approximately one hour, right around 2:15 p.m. local time, which marked high tide.
Buxton was facing serious swells and high winds as a result of a pair of hurricanes—Humberto and Imelda—passing the area at just around the same time.
Authorities warned residents that other oceanfront properties could be susceptible to damage, while weather experts in Bermuda, which has been dealing with the effects of Humberto, warned that the worst may still be to come.
The Island Free Press reports that another home in Buxton, on the very same street as three of the houses damaged today, faced the same fate just two weeks ago, on September 16. “There have now been 17 home collapses on Hatteras Island since 2020,” wrote the Press. “The other home collapses occurred in Rodanthe, which includes six oceanfront homes that fell in 2024.”
