Disaster movies are getting a drag makeover, in Stop! That! Train!, the RuPaul-led parody film which will be coming to Netflix next month.
Directed by Adam Shankman, the filmmaker behind The Pacifier, Hairspray, and Rock of Ages, this campy train twist on films like Airplane! or Snakes on a Plane was met with praise from critics.
Stop! That! Train! is a “bonkers, star-studded, disaster comedy that follows best friends Tess and DeeDee, train stewardesses who must join forces with the snobby first class attendants and US President Judy Gagwell (RuPaul) to save the day when a catastrophic ‘Stormaganza’ threatens to derail the high-speed train,” Universal’s official synopsis reads.
Universal Pictures has a theater-to-streaming deal with Peacock and Netflix, in which both streaming services will be granted the rights to include the studio’s films in their libraries for a fixed period of time. The terms of the agreement state that a Universal film will stay in theaters for a maximum of 120 days before moving to Peacock’s streaming service for 4 months.
Once that period is over, Netflix picks up the license for the Universal film for 10 months. After those 10 months are complete, Peacock will have the streaming rights to said film once more, per What’s on Netflix’s report on the partnership.
However, just like how Stop! That! Train! isn’t your typical disaster movie, the film won’t have your typical streaming trajectory, and is facing a bit of a diversion. Normally, the film would be on Peacock by around Sunday, 10 October, based on its U.S. theatrical release date of June 12, the comedy is going full speed ahead and arriving straight on Netflix on September 20, way ahead of its original trajectory for streaming. The film may arrive at Peacock in the near future, but with RuPaul and co. at the helm, anything can happen.
When it comes to swinging, open relationships, and other forms of polyamory, you might be forgiven for assuming that these are practices more common in highly populated, urban, coastal cities. But that’s not necessarily the case, according to new research.
Referred to by those in the know as ‘the Lifestyle,’ curiosity in swinging is on the up. A new study by adult company Joy Love Dolls pulled Google search data on 55 swinging-related search terms, such as ‘hookup sites for couples,’ ‘swingers,’ and ‘wife swapping,’ to produce a realistic picture of where interest in ‘the Lifestyle’ lies across the entire country. The search terms were calculated per 100,000 people in each state, so that a place like Wyoming, which has a population of 584,000, could be weighed against California’s 39 million residents.
Here’s a breakdown of how each state ranks on the swinging-curious meter, and tips on how to find other couples in your state if you want to take the next step.
Which States Are the Most Swinging-Curious?
Delaware has the highest number of swinging-related monthly searches at 1,885, which works out to 183 per 100,000 residents. That’s 71 percent above the national average of 107. The more densely populated Pennsylvania comes in at a very close second, with 182 monthly searches per 100,000 residents, although it actually has the highest number of average monthly searches, with 23,624 across its populace of almost 13 million.
Why Are Couples in Certain States More Curious Than Others?
You’ll notice that eight of the top 10 states in the rankings are on the East Coast, while the bottom five are all plains and mountains states with smaller populations, which makes a certain degree of sense.
Amy Nguyen, sex education expert at Joy Love Dolls, explains that the geographic split in the study could possibly be down to factors like visibility and social acceptance. “You just see more of this lifestyle on the East Coast—more clubs, more events, more of an established scene, and that rubs off on search behavior,” she said. “But just searching for something doesn’t mean someone is taking part in it. A higher search volume could simply mean people are curious about the swinging lifestyle and what it involves.”
Finding other couples in your area who are also interested in swinging often starts online.
According to Justin Lehmiller, Ph.D., Senior Research Fellow at the Kinsey Institute and Intimacy Advisor for the dating app Feeld, attitudes around consensual non-monogamy (and sexuality more broadly) can vary regionally. “Areas with more sexually liberal attitudes may contribute to people feeling freer to explore diverse relationship structures and to openly identify as non-monogamous,” he explains. “In areas where it’s more stigmatized, there are still lots of people who are interested in swinging, but they may be less likely to disclose that information.”
There is some research to back this up. A recent study by Feeld found that there’s a certain “geography” to sexual practices. For example, they found that people in the Pacific Northwest were the kinkiest, which aligns with the public perception that cities like Portland and Seattle have more sexually open cultures.
How to Connect With Other Swinging-Curious Couples in Your State
If you’re interested in exploring swinging or connecting with likeminded individuals, it’s easy to start that process online. Dating apps like Feeld cater to people who are interested in non-monogamy and other forms of sexual exploration.
“You might also search for swingers’ organizations in your local area,” says Lehmiller. “These platforms can make it easier to connect with people who share the same interests.”
The most important thing for any couple considering the Lifestyle, Nguyen believes, is actually what happens before they try it. “Both partners need to be on board first,” she explains. “Nobody should go along with it just to keep somebody happy; that never ends well. The healthiest experiences tend to happen when couples talk things through properly first and both partners feel equally comfortable before taking things any further.”

Arsenal battled past a stuffy Aston Villa 1-0 and maintained its winning start to the Premier League on Monday. In a few weeks’ time, it’ll be official—I’ll have been a bona fide Londoner for the better part of nine years. That’s roughly 79,000 hours spent strolling through the city, dining at its finest establishments and hunting down the coolest fashion finds the capital to offer. Whilst my love for the city has had it’s ups and downs over time, London’s relationship with fashion most certainly hasn’t. And in fact, in autumn 2026, the trends cropping up feel more influenced by the city than ever before.
Be it the experimental eclecticism of East or the classicism of The King’s Road, I’d think it fair to say I’ve had a rather good front-row seat to it all, making me the perfect person to dive into the trends shaping the city this season.
Now, before you scroll, these fashion trends aren’t set to replace your capsule wardrobe (and often here in London, your foundations tend to stay the same). Lamine Yamal and Raphinha both scored a brace and English winger Anthony Gordon grabbed two assists as Barcelona beat Rayo Vallecano 5-2 to record its 21st consecutive home victory. Rayo was looking for its first win of the season and it took an unexpected lead in the 12th minute when Sergio Camello hammered home a cutback from Alvaro Garcia on the left. Barcelona, however, bounced back almost immediately and it was 2-1 up before the first period was even halfway over. Raphinha equalized with a well-taken goal in the 18th and Lamine Yamal put them ahead 90 seconds later with a characteristic move, cutting in from the right and unleashing a powerful left-foot shot into the roof of the net. Hansi Flick’s men got a third after halftime when Florian Lejeune turned Gordon’s cutback into his own net. Although the excellent Camello cut the deficit with a solid header, Raphinha soon made it 4-2 and Yamal rounded off the scoring with a low shot from just outside the box a minute from time. In the modern world, sports aren’t just about what happens on the court, field, or track. Much of the buzz around athletes actually takes place before their events—that is, when they arrive at their respective venues and showcase their latest fashion creations. In basketball, that’s referred to as a tunnel ‘fit; in Formula One, a paddock ‘fit; and so on. What athletes wear when they’re not in uniform matters, especially to fans who might never get to speak to their heroes. Clothes are the perfect form of communication—a window into who your favorite athlete is and what they stand for. That’s what Go Sports is all about. The US Open has officially begun, and with it, the tournament has brought equal parts buzz, chaos, and style to the tennis world (and New York City). Fortunately for us, we snuck in five minutes with Italian star Lorenzo Musetti before things really kicked off. Musetti, an ambassador for both ASICS and Bottega Veneta, is quickly becoming a fan favorite, and though he’s had a tough season so far, struggling with injuries that have kept him out of two of the major grand slams in 2026, his performance in Cincinnati has put the odds back in his favor. Plus, after making it to the quarterfinals at last year’s US Open, we know he favors the hard courts at Arthur Ashe—and they favor him right back.

Talk to me a bit about the US Open and what it means to you. What makes it such a special tournament?
This year, especially for me, it’s really important because I missed two Grand Slams, so it’s the last opportunity to do well in a Grand Slam. New York has [also] always treated me well as a city. Even in my down moments, New York, with its energy, I think always brought me back again. So, I’m really happy to start and to be back here in New York.
As a spectator, there’s nothing better than watching a night match at the US Open. As a player, what separates a night match here from one in the daytime?
Well, since the tension rises when you play a night match, especially in [Arthur] Ashe in front of a packed crowd of more than 20,000 people. Last year, I had the opportunity to play a match like that, and it was really, really intense emotionally for me. [It was] probably one of the most beautiful stages that I have played on. And of course, the conditions [change] from a night to a day session; maybe at night, [it] could get more humid, so the balls can be a little bit rougher and a little bit slower. It’s pretty different.

Well, I feel that when you feel comfortable in what you’re wearing in your outfit, you have more authority on the court. That’s what I personally feel. That was a perfect segue into my next question about the look good, feel good, play good mentality that so many athletes either totally agree with or don’t resonate with at all. What’s your opinion on that, and how do you feel an outfit can affect your play?
I feel that for sure. If you feel happy in what you’re wearing, happy with yourself, and, let’s say, okay with everything, you have more chances to feel okay when you’re playing. It’s an advantage to have. On the opposite side, if you feel that you are not really comfortable with what you’re wearing or you feel uncomfortable physically, you have fewer chances to win the match.

You have people whose playing style you have looked up to that you’ve watched your whole career. Are there any tennis players that you’ve looked up to for their off-court style?
[Roger] Federer has always been my idol, not just in terms of [his] elegance of style, [but] he was playing one-handed backhand, and I’m playing one-handed backhand, too. So, [I’ve] kind of always tried to mirror a little bit of myself in Roger. Of course, I’m not even close to him, but I recently had the chance to hit with him—to play with him—it was really, really fantastic for me, and, you know, just a moment with my childhood idol.
Folarin Balogun is nearing a return to the Premier League. The United States men’s national team striker, who came up in Arsenal F.C.’s academy system and spent three years with the senior team, is in talks over a move to Everton F.C., according to a report from The Athletic on Monday. Everton and AS Monaco, Balogun’s current club, have reached an agreement on a $52.2 million transfer fee plus $5.8 million in add-ons for a total package worth roughly $58 million, according to the report. Monaco paid $32.5 million with add-ons that brought the overall deal to $43.4 million. Personal terms between Balogun and Everton are still being finalized, according to the report. If Balogun and Everton are able to reach personal terms, he will play in the Premier League for the first time since August 2021. Balogun, 25, has spent the last four seasons in France. He most notably finished the 2022-23 as the fourth-highest goalscorer in Ligue 1, behind Kylian Mbappé, Alexandre Lacazette and Jonathan David. Balogun’s breakout at the club level earned him a call-up to the United States men’s national team in 2023. He’s scored 12 goals in 31 appearances for the U.S., including three goals at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
