Delta Air Lines Suddenly Cancels Nearly 200 Flights
Delta Air Lines canceled nearly 200 flights over the weekend at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the overnight hours into Friday morning as a result of some bad weather.
According to Atlanta News First, more than 180 overnight Delta flights were canceled as a result of what Delta described as severe summer weather. Delta was not the only airline impacted, but most of the canceled flights were Delta flights.
A Delta spokesperson described the move as “proactive” due to the severe summer weather.
“Yes, there are proactive cancellations today in Atlanta due to severe summer weather,” a spokesperson for Delta Air Lines told 11 Alive in Atlanta on Friday. “Safety for our passengers and crew is our top priority.”
The mass cancellations come after a “nightmare” Delta flight sent more than two dozen people to the hospital.
Delta Air Lines Flight 56 from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam experienced “significant” turbulence and needed to divert. When the plane landed, 25 people were hospitalized.
A woman who was aboard the flight said that the in-flight dinner service started when the shocking turbulence hit from out of nowhere.
“There was actually no warning. It was a very abrupt, hard hit,” said Leeann Nash, who spoke to Minneapolis’ ABC affiliate.
“If you didn’t have your seat belt on — everyone that didn’t — they hit the ceiling, and then they fell to the ground, and the carts also hit the ceiling and fell to the ground, and people were injured, and it happened several times, so it was really scary.”
Needless to say, it seems like Delta was making safety a priority for its customers given the severe weather on Thursday night, especially after the scary incident that occurred earlier this week.
While the cancellations were undoubtedly frustrating, they were understandable in context.

Cowboys Players Show Support For Micah Parsons Amid Trade Rumor
Things are getting ugly between the Dallas Cowboys and Micah Parsons and some players on the team are making it clear who they support.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, the relationship between the Cowboys and Parsons has “deteriorated” while the two sides remain locked in contract negotiations.
As a result, Russini adds that Parsons is considering the possibility of asking for a trade, something that would be earth-shattering considering Parson’s status as one of the best players in the NFL.
In the wake of that news breaking, Cowboys players have been showing their support for Parsons by changing their X profile pictures to ones including the superstar linebacker.

It’s bad enough that the Cowboys can’t get something done with a player who is a no-brainer to extend, but now it’s clearly causing division on the team. Only owner and general manager Jerry Jones could botch something like this.
A first-round pick of the Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons is worth every penny of whatever contract he gets.
The Penn State product is arguably the most feared defender in the NFL and has tallied 52.5 sacks over four seasons, leading to four Pro Bowl selections and three All-Pro nods.
Whenever he does get extended, there’s no question Parsons will become the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. CBS Sports’ Garrett Podell estimates Parsons will land a five-year, $206 million deal.
If Parsons does hit the trade market, there will be teams lining up around the block to acquire his services. The Cowboys would net one heck of a haul, also, with Parsons likely to command at least two first-round picks.
While it remains highly unlikely the Cowboys will even entertain the idea of trading Parsons, the fact that he might demand one at least opens the door to the possibility that it happens.
Jones needs to stop messing around and get Parsons signed before things get even more out of hand than they already are.

Big Brother 27’s Adrian Blasts Zach for Being a ‘Chicken’ After Eviction Betrayal
Big Brother 27‘s latest evictee, Adrian Rocha, is still reeling from the 8-4 vote that sent him home.
The carpenter, 23, opens up about the betrayals that led to his departure in this exclusive interview with Men’s Journal — and he has a few choice words for former ally Zach Cornell.
When asked how he felt about the votes that ultimately sealed his fate, Adrian didn’t hold back. “I know Zach was just saving his game,” he says. “But I’m definitely going to call Zach a ‘chicken’ when he gets out. I call him chicken every time we play chess, but yeah… we’re going to call him a chicken when he gets out, for sure.”
“I knew that they had other alliances to support and they didn’t want to risk their games,” he adds of allies Zach and Vince Panaro. “I guess I’m not surprised that they didn’t join to keep me.”
Adrian also points to Vince as someone who was “playing both sides,” suggesting that the quiet gameplay was a deliberate move to stay on everyone’s good side. “Vince is quiet. He’s not throwing names out there,” he explains. “So I knew that if you’re not throwing names out there, it’s because you’re good with everyone.”
Adrian’s frustrations weren’t limited to his former allies. When asked why he never aligned with former winner Rachel Reilly, he pointed to a lack of trust and difficulty connecting.“When it came to Rachel, I mean, I would’ve liked to potentially have worked with her, but I just didn’t know her game,” he says. “And the one time we do talk, she felt like an interviewer. She works in casting, and the question she asked was – I wouldn’t say basic, but she’s like, ‘What is your sweetest moment? Your happiest place?’ And I’m like, who just goes up and asks that question? And the way she said it sounds so robotic.”
He continues, “I didn’t know if I could trust her… she feels like she’s trying to get everyone to cry.”
In reflecting on his game overall, Adrian admits that while he tried to play honestly, he may have made mistakes that contributed to his downfall — namely choosing not to win early power. “I wouldn’t have thrown the first HOH,” he tells MJ. “Rule No. 1 every winner must follow is you’d rather join or create the winning alliance.”
He adds, “I was already being seen as too good of a competitor to kind of lay low like that, to not win.”
But one thing he wouldn’t change is his refusal to lie in a game meant for lying and scheming. “I didn’t come in the house planning to not lie,” he explains. “That’s just how I am in real life. I don’t like to lie. I hate liars. And I just think honesty is the best thing.”
For him, it was a strategy he believed could pay off in the long run, explaining: “It’s the reason why Mickey [Lee] gave me so much information. And I feel like a lot of people, especially people that weren’t going to give me their vote, told me a lot of… their gameplay, a lot of their truth, because they trusted that I wouldn’t tell anybody. They trusted that I wouldn’t come after them.”
Big Brother airs Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. ET. You can also catch the 24/7 live feeds on on Paramount+ and Pluto TV.

One Marvel Star Maybe Just Took Himself Out of the Running For James Bond and Nobody Noticed
Once Denis Villeneuve was named as the director for the next James Bond movie, rumors immediately started flying as to who he might want as the new 007. At the top of that list of possible actors was Tom Holland, best known to millions as the incumbent Peter Parker in the Spider-Man and Avengers films. But now, it’s possible that Holland has quietly taken himself out of the running for Bond. Here’s why.
Will Tom Holland be the next James Bond?
While it’s possible that Holland could still be cast as James Bond, his commitments to other projects, including various Marvel films, might prevent that from happening. In fact, in a new interview with the U.K. edition of GQ, published on August 1, 2025, Holland indicated he will be taking a break from acting sometime in 2027.
“You can’t be in every movie, and you can’t do your best work when you’re burnt out,” Holland said in the interview, referring to the idea that he wants to avoid burnout. “I’ve got a slightly busy year next year, and then I’ll probably take a bit more time off in 2027. We’ll see.”
The busy year next year almost certainly refers to the fact that Holland will be promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which hits theaters a year from now, on July 31, 2026. But, does that mean Holland won’t be shooting a new film in 2026 or 2027?

The Next James Bond Movie’s Possible Release Date
As of this writing, Amazon MGM has not nailed down an exact release window for the next James Bond movie. But 2027 is possible. Assuming the film was cast by the end of 2025, and went into production sometime in 2026, that means a release date of anytime in 2027 is reasonable. At least hypothetically.
So, if Tom Holland is taking “time off” in 2027, that seems to suggest he’s not going to play James Bond. Unless, of course, the movie is done by that point, which would mean he could maybe still be in the running.
Still, with so many other actors’ names being floated for the role, it seems more likely that Holland won’t become both Bond and Peter Parker within the same couple of years. And, until there’s a big bombshell dropped by Amazon, the next face of 007 will remain in the shadows.
