Jason and Travis Kelce’s Garage Beer Created BeerBed™ and You Can Win It

The team behind Garage Beer—the crisp, no-nonsense lager co-owned by Jason and Travis Kelce—has officially outdone itself. Meet the BeerBed™, a custom-built bed complete with a working kegerator in the headboard. It’s absurd, it’s real, and yes, you can win it.

Starting July 1, Garage Beer fans can enter to win the only bed in the world that literally pours beer by simply commenting on the brand’s Instagram post or retweeting it on X. The giveaway runs through July 15, and the winner will walk away with the full setup: the BeerBed frame, a brand-new Casper mattress, and a functioning tap system that pours cold Garage Beer from two glorious headboard-mounted taps.

Think of it like a waterbed… but way better.

“Honestly, this was a stroke of genius,” Corey Smale, Garage Beer’s VP of Marketing, told us. “We’ve already put beer in hot dogs and on people. Sleep felt like the next logical step.”

The idea may have started as a joke, but thanks to longtime collaborator Jordan Phoenix, the guy Smale calls their director/problem solver/sometimes actor, it quickly became real. “If I can think of it, he can usually make it happen,” Smale said. “I’m still amazed at how dumb something can become when our brains work together.”

Garage Beer Creates First Ever BeerBed™ (1:10)

But what’s actually inside this thing?

While the mattress may or may not be designed to hold liquids, Garage Beer’s team isn’t giving away all their secrets. What we do know is that a legit kegerator is built into the handcrafted wooden headboard. Push the tap handle, and golden beer flows. That’s the BeerBed in action. And yes, someone will actually be sleeping on it soon.

Garage Beer has made a name for itself by walking the line between performance art and product promotion. From retro fridges with White Castle to marketing sunscreen for your beer, the team thrives on ideas that are both hilarious and somehow tangible.

“Beer should be funny. Full stop,” Smale said. “Our number one job is to make the best light beer on the planet. Our number two job is to entertain people and create content we’d want to see ourselves.”

Garage Beer BeerBed.

Garage Beer.

So why go all in on something as weird and wonderful as the BeerBed?

“This one had to be real,” Smale said. “We’ve made silly stuff before that was just for content’s sake, but this time, the idea wasn’t good enough until it actually existed. That’s what puts it over the top.”

And it’s not just about going viral.

The campaign is meant to reflect Garage Beer’s core identity: a brand that takes light beer seriously and everything else lightly.

According to Smale, this is a once-in-a-lifetime promo. “You’re not going to get another shot at winning a bed that pours beer out of the headboard,” he said. “Only one beer brand would dare to be this dumb. And we couldn’t be more proud.”

So if you’ve ever wanted to nap near your own personal tap system—or just want bragging rights for owning the world’s most over-the-top beer setup—now’s your chance. Keep an eye out on Tuesday, July 1, for Garage Beer’s post on Instagram and X.

One comment. One retweet. One legendary BeerBed.

Beloved Staten Island Restaurant Closes After 17 Years

The restaurant business is difficult to begin with. When you add in the current economic climate, featuring skyrocketing costs and customers hesitant to spend, no wonder we’re seeing so many places call it quits.

After nearly two decades in business, Z-One Restaurant and Lounge in Staten Island, New York has shuttered, and owner Steve Osman said financial reasons were the cause.

“We had this place coming on 20 years. It was a great place and still is. But with our rent increasing to over $50,000 a month and a very high real estate tax, it just didn’t make sense anymore,” Osman told SILive.com.

Sunday was Z-One’s final day of operation. Throughout its tenure, the Richmond Avenue establishment was known for its upscale diner setting and lounge area that came alive on weekends.

“Our extensive dining menu is second to none, bringing delicious twists to classic dishes using the freshest ingredients possible,” says the official Z-One website. “Our Z-One lounge features a wide array of wine, beer and liquor with live music and DJ’s from Thursday through Sunday, there’s always something exciting happening at the lounge!”

News of the restaurant’s closure has elicited a slew of reactions on social media.

“I was just there on sat! How sad! We go there a lot!” one woman said.

“Sorry to hear this. We went often and enjoyed the food, and the staff was great. I hope they find employment somewhere else,” a second woman added.

“They had potential the space and the parking. But their food kind of fell off. Last few times I was there it was meh. Hours cut too. I wonder what it will turn into,” another person said.

“Omg this is crazy I was there Thursday morning. So sad,” a fourth commenter wrote.

As of now, a replacement concept for Z-One has not been announced.

Controversial Televangelist Dead at 90

Televangelist Jimmy Swaggart, who rose to prominence during the 1980s with his widespread ministry, has died at 90.

Swaggart’s death comes a little more than two weeks after he suffered a heart attack at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Swaggart’s son Donnie had previously said his father was living his “last days.”

“Today, our hearts are heavy as we share that Brother Swaggart has finished his earthly race and entered into the presence of His Savior, Jesus Christ,” the Pentecostal preacher’s family announced in a statement Tuesday.

“Today was the day he has sung about for decades. He met his beloved Savior and entered the portals of glory. At the same time, we rejoice knowing that we will see him again one day.”

Born in Ferriday, Louisiana on March 15, 1935, Swaggart was ordained as a minister in 1961 and began his radio ministry a year later. He later transitioned into television services and saw his career take off in the early 1980s.

At the height of his influence, Swaggart, who founded Jimmy Swaggart Ministries in 1984, held crusades in dozens of countries all over the world. However, he was rocked by a pair of prostitution scandals in 1988 and 1991, the former of which led to his famous “I have sinned” speech on live television as well as his defrocking from the Assemblies of God.

Swaggart later took his ministry non-denominational. In 1995, he founded SonLife Radio Network, which currently broadcasts gospel programming to more than 300 million TV homes across the globe.

In addition to his son, Swaggart is survived by Frances, his wife of more than 70 years, three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several cousins.

There’s also a streaming advantage.

Prime Video is increasingly competitive in the entertainment space, and has exclusive access to buzzy shows like We Were Liars (which premiered June 18). This benefit could be a major bonus for subscribers already stretching their subscription budgets.

While Metro by T-Mobile hasn’t confirmed how long the free Prime perk will last, the inclusion of affiliate links on their site suggests they’re leaning into the value of this bundled offer.
