Netflix Announces Decision on Season 3 of ‘Tires’

It’s hard to think of a comedian with a better two years than Shane Gillis. He’s hosted Saturday Night Live, starred in Super Bowl commercials and embarked on a successful tour following multiple stand-up specials.

Gillis is also the star of Netflix’s “Tires,” and the show has exploded in popularity after the release of the second season. Netflix revealed great news for fans of the series on Tuesday, noting that a third season was on the way.

“TIRES SEASON 3 COMING 2026,” Netflix announced, revealing that the next season would premiere next year.

Gillis, one of the show’s creators, stars alongside Steve Gerben in the series. The show follows a pair of cousins who take over their family’s struggling auto care business.

Gillis and Gerben created the show with help from John McKeever, who Gillis shares the popular “Gilly and Keeves” YouTube channel with.

Season one premiered without much fanfare in 2024, but the second season released last month to great fanfare and acclaim. Gillis has become one of the fastest rising stars in the world of comedy, and he’s become much more of a mainstream name over the last year.

Gillis’ return to Saturday Night Live in 2024, five years after he was fired from the show, was considered a landmark moment in his career.

He lasted only five days on the show and was fired after racially insensitive remarks made during old podcast episodes. Gillis has since reflected on the language he used in those episodes and has apologized for his conduct.

He hosted the show again earlier this year, impersonating President Donald Trump in multiple sketches.

He’s also released multiple comedy specials, including Beautiful Dogs, which has been on Netflix since 2023.

Vince Vaughn, Thomas Hayden Church, Ron White, Jon Lovitz, Stavros Halkias and Andrew Schultz appeared in season two of the show, and the series’ success likely means more guest stars are coming next season.

Gillis has become one of the biggest stars in comedy, even after his initial stint on SNL ended poorly. We’ll see what the future holds for him after the success of “Tires,” his continued stand-up appearances, any feature film roles and his status as a celebrity endorser.

Jennifer Aniston’s Next Role Raises Questions About the Fate of ‘The Morning Show’

Apple TV+ officially confirmed a new Jennifer Aniston project on July 1, but it’s creating confusion about the status of her critically acclaimed series, The Morning Show.

Aniston will star and executive produce a hybrid comedy-drama based on former Nickelodeon star Jennette McCurdy’s memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died. The good news is that the commitment to the new show shouldn’t prohibit the Emmy Award-winning actress from starring on a fifth season of her current series, according to Deadline.

Even though The Morning Show hasn’t been picked up for Season 5 yet, the media outlet also reported that a fifth season order is “fully expected.” The fourth season premieres on Apple TV+ on Sept. 17.

In addition to Aniston’s participation in I’m Glad My Mom Died, McCurdy, who is now a full-time writer, will also serve as the show’s executive producer and showrunner. She was known for her role as Sam Puckett in two Nickeldeon shows, iCarly and the spinoff, Sam & Cat. Her 2022 memoir chronicled the emotional and physical abuse at the hands of her mother, Debra McCurdy, which lasted for almost two decades.

“My earliest memories of childhood were of heaviness and chaos,” the former child star told People in August 2022. “My mom’s emotions were so erratic that it was like walking a tightrope every day. The mood fluctuations were daily.”

McCurdy’s mother died in 2013 from breast cancer. Her memoir spent over 80 weeks on The New York Times Best Seller list.

Why Rucking Is One of the Best (and Most Underrated) Forms of Exercise

In the last few years, rucking has exploded in popularity, but not everyone knows what it actually is. Simply put, rucking means walking with a weighted backpack (or rucksack). Originally used in military training, it’s a low-impact workout that helps you burn serious calories and build muscle without the joint strain of higher-impact exercise.

“Rucking is sort of the main activity of physical training in the military, just throwing weight in a backpack and going for a long walk,” researcher and best-selling author Michael Easter said in an interview with Andrew Huberman, Ph.D. “I’ve actually started to shift my language from using the term rucking to simply saying walking with weight or weighted walking.”

If you’ve ever rucked, you know it’s one hell of a workout. Not only does it absolutely destroy (in a good way) your cardiovascular system, but by mile five, your legs are burning and your shoulders are crying out.

Benefits of Rucking

Aside from the fact that you just look hardcore walking around with weight on your back, rucking comes with a ton of benefits—from boosting endurance and improving cardiovascular health to expanding your low-impact workout options. It’s easier on the joints than running, yet it torches more calories than your average walk.

“The benefit is that you’re getting a cardio stimulus because you’re covering ground, but you’re also getting strength work because you’ve loaded your skeletal system,” says Easter. “It’s a two-in-one—so you generally burn more calories per mile than walking or running, simply because you’ve added extra weight.”

Not to mention, rucking helps fill the gaps in a lot of people’s training. In the world of health and fitness, most athletes tend to fall into one of two camps: gym bro or runner. While hybrid athletes have started to change that, plenty of people still stick to one lane. According to Easter, rucking not only gets people outside—it gives them a way to improve their cardiovascular health without the joint strain of running.

“It’s one of these activities that can really fill in gaps in people’s training,” he says. “It gets people outside. There [are] a lot of gym people who are like, ‘Yeah, I lift all the weights, but I’m not doing that running thing.’ A lot of people can’t run, but walking feels a little too easy, so I’m not going to do that. If you can throw some load on someone and have them go for a walk, it gets them outside [and] helps them preferentially burn fat compared to something like running.”

Sydney Sweeney Makes Love Life Decision Amid Tom Brady Rumors

By all accounts, Sydney Sweeney enjoyed herself at the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez in Naples, Italy over the weekend.

Sweeney, 27, who called off her engagement to longtime partner Jonathan Davino earlier this year, was reportedly the center of attention for some of the single men in attendance, including A-list actor Orlando Bloom and NFL legend Tom Brady.

The Euphoria star was reportedly spotted chatting and dancing with Brady during the reception Friday night, and she, Bloom and Brady were seen taking a walk together in Venice on Saturday.

However, while the internet may have been running wild with thoughts of Sweeney dating one of these leading men, a new report from TMZ says the Anyone but You actress is happily single.

“Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … the actress is very much single despite the swirling speculation after she was seen spending time on a stroll through the streets of Venice, Italy with both Bloom and Brady,” TMZ wrote.

We’re told the “Euphoria” star is focused on her career and enjoying life, with romance not being a priority right now.”

Sweeney and Davino had been in a relationship for several years and were scheduled to get married in May. However, the couple reportedly split in January, and a short time later, officially called off their nuptials.

In March, a source told PEOPLE Sweeney was “overwhelmed” by the relationship and “didn’t feel right” about marrying Davino.

“She’s not ready to settle down,” the PEOPLE source said. “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

The source added that Sweeney was “right where she wants to be.”

“Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” the source said.

Channing Tatum Details Speaking With Notorious Real-Life Figure for ‘Roofman’ Role

Channing Tatum’s latest role is arguably the most unique of his career. After all, it’s not often that an actor is tasked with portraying a man who spent six months living in a Toys ‘R’ Us after breaking out of prison.

However, that was the task for Tatum, who plays Jeffrey Manchester in the new film Roofman. While the storyline behind Manchester, who reportedly drilled holes through the roofs of restaurants to enter before they opened, began with his robberies, the film is actually about what happened after that.

After being sentenced to 45 years in prison, Manchester escaped in broad daylight by hiding underneath a truck, which led to him living in the Toys ‘R’ Us and a closed-down Circuit City that was connected to it.

While Tatum will portray Manchester, the timeline focuses on his life after the escape, hiding out in Toys ‘R’ Us and Circuit City, while eventually immersing himself in the local community.

Tatum revealed to Entertainment Weekly that he spoke with Manchester and praised him for making things “really easy,” while also admitting that he hopes the man he’s portraying enjoys the movie.

“It’s impossible to tell someone’s real life story in 90 minutes…” Tatum admitted.

“I really hope Jeff likes the movie. He’s made some bad decisions in his life. That is a fact. But he is probably the first one to tell you that. But I just find him such a beautiful and unfortunate soul. It breaks my heart; he’s so smart and alive, even on a phone call. The first time I ever talked to him, I was nervous, and he knew things about me and asked me about my life. He made things really easy.”

Along with speaking to Manchester, Kirsten Dunst, who plays the love interest of the main character, following his jail escape, Leigh Wainscott, revealed that the woman she portrays in the film visited the movie’s set twice. However, Dunst didn’t get the chance to meet her.
