The last major patch update for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, which dropped at the end of last month, promised players some major bug fixes and better emotional regulation, but some fans are reporting that they got more than they bargained for in terms of island drama.
The May 15 update, titled Version 1.0.2, didn’t add any new gameplay but focused on smoothing out the dynamics of the new game, mainly relationships (both romantic and platonic) between Miis, as well as emotional response and issues with save data.
The patch notes (which you can read in full here) mentioned fixing issues after Miis argue, as well as problems with the sadness moodlet, which can often be kickstarted by conflict between Miis on the island. The notes didn’t mention, however, that following the update, arguments, or full-blown fights, would occur way more often.
Arguments on Tomodachi Life can occur randomly, where two Miis will appear to have a fiery cloud around their image, with steam coming out of their head. It is up to the player to resolve the conflict between them by helping them manage their mood. A full brawl between Miis can also occur, usually reserved for Miis in romantic relationships when one becomes jealous, where they will start throwing objects — and insults – at one another.
Over on social media, countless players have reported a major uptick in fights and arguments since the patch update.
“I have had 2 fights in the same day on my tomodachi life, wtf happend [sic],” @Jafartomo wrote on X/Twitter on May 15, the day the update first became available to players.
“I think I’ve had a fight literally every day in my Tomodachi Life island since like last week or something,” @CupidofPrudence similarly reported on May 26.
“What’s happened with tomodachi life?” @znnjimin asked on May 28. “bc every day i wake up to 2+ people arguing, everyone’s falling out, i’ve had to help people falling out of love [sic].” “It’s hard work,” they added, with crying emojis.
If you’re currently suffering from this affliction post-update, we have previously written a handy guide to resolving conflict between Miis, or preventing the phenomenon from happening in the first place.

Throughout music history, there have been a handful of novelty songs that have managed to become smash hits. 52 years ago today, “The Streak” by Ray Stevens was on top of the chart after being inspired by a viral streaking trend that took America by storm.
‘The Streak’ by Ray Stevens Was No. 1 on June 1, 1974
Stevens was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2019. Even though he is well-known for his contributions to that genre, the song never hit the top of the country chart. Instead, the same American Songwriter article noted it topped out at No. 3 on the country chart. Stevens has also been inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Musicians Hall of Fame, the Music City Walk of Fame, and the Georgia Music Hall of Fame.
How the Streaking Craze Took Over America and Inspired the Hit Song
In August 2014, Sports Illustrated published an article chronicling the history of streaking. For anyone who doesn’t know, streaking is the act of running through a public space without any clothes on. While that article notes that the practice goes back as far as the 1780s, it details how it took the world by storm in the 1970s. More specifically, the outlet pointed to three notable events from 1974, two of which helped popularize the trend at sporting events.
During that year, Michael O’Brien ran through an England v. Australia rugby match at Twickenham. Additionally, someone who went by “Miss Cyndi” skated onto the ice with nothing on during an LA Kings game. Also in 1974, people at the University of Georgia held the largest group streaking event ever on March 7.
In April 2017, The Tennessean quoted remarks Ray Stevens made while being interviewed by Bart Herbison of Nashville Songwriters Association International. During that conversation, Stevens explained that he wasn’t the first to put out a song about the trend. Still, he recorded and released “The Streak” as quickly as he could once he learned about streaking, and his track was the one that was embraced by radio stations.
“There were about a dozen other records about streaking on the market before I could get mine out, and I was pretty fast! I wrote the song the minute I heard about streaking, and got in the studio and cut it. People were just … I don’t know how they got their records out so fast, but maybe they weren’t all that good. When mine came out, it took the market. It was the one that radio liked.”
What is Netflix’s top viewed show ever? It’s a series that racked up a massive 252 million views for the streaming platform.
According to Netflix, that show is Wednesday, Season 1. The series had 1.7 billion hours viewed, the streamer added. The eight-episode series is described in the Netflix caption as, “Smart, sarcastic and a little dead inside, Wednesday Addams investigates a murder spree while making new friends – and foes – at Nevermore Academy.”
On Rotten Tomatoes, where the show, which premiered in 2022, earned only a 81% positive rating from the audience, the blurb says, “While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago.”
What Are the Other Most Viewed Shows in the Netflix Top 10?
Netflix’s top 10 list includes a variety of series and one true-crime drama. They are in order, after Wednesday:
2. Adolescence: Limited Series
3. Stranger Things 4
4. Stranger Things 5
5. Wednesday: Season 2
6. Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
7. Bridgerton: Season 1
8. The Queen’s Gambit: Limited Series
9. Bridgerton: Season 3
10. HIS & HERS Limited Series
The one caveat is that these shows, and Wednesday, are the top-ranked English language shows on Netflix.

Not surprisingly, due to its streaming popularity, Netflix announced in April 2026 that the series will return for season three.
“Television has — and always will be — a team sport,” says co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough, on the Netflix website. “[Co-creator and co-showrunner] Miles [Millar] and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners.”
Netflix also announced in April that season 3 was already in production in Dublin, Ireland. The streamer also hinted that Wednesday will be headed to Paris in season 3. “Consider yourself warned: If Wednesday’s heading to Paris, it may not stay picturesque for long,” the platform wrote.
What can viewers expect out of a season 3 of Wednesday?
“Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” says Gough, on the Tudum website. “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.” Millar adds, “We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”
Who is in the season 3 cast?
Netflix listed the following: “Lena Headey (Game of Thrones, The Abandons), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire, Brats), and James Lance (Ted Lasso) will join previously announced newcomers Winona Ryder (Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Stranger Things), Chris Sarandon (Dog Day Afternoon, The Princess Bride), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders, Game of Thrones), Oscar Morgan (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Gotham Knights), and Kennedy Moyer (Task, Roofman).” In addition, Eva Green will be playing Aunt Ophelia.
Odell Beckham Jr. is going back to his first professional home. The wide receiver has agreed to a deal with the New York Giants, according to multiple reports. The terms of Beckham’s deal with New York are unknown, but he visited the Giants on Monday. New York also reportedly agreed to terms on a contract with wide receiver Braxton Berrios earlier in the day. Beckham’s return to the Giants had been months in the making. New Giants head coach John Harbaugh, who coached Beckham for a season with the Ravens, told reporters at the owners meeting in March that the team was open to signing Beckham. In those comments, Harbaugh also shared that he and Beckham had remained in contact even after the wide receiver left Baltimore at the end of the 2023 season. A few weeks later, Beckham had a workout with the Giants and underwent a physical for the team. While a deal didn’t culminate then, it was apparent that New York’s interest in reuniting with Beckham was real. This past week created an urgency for the Giants to add at wide receiver. Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski tore his Achilles during New York’s organized team activities (OTAs) session on Friday, thinning the Giants’ depth at the position. Star wide receiver Malik Nabers is returning from an ACL tear that ended his second season early, and Darius Slayton is rehabbing from a core injury. New York also lost productive wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency this offseason, but signed veterans Darnell Mooney and Calvin Austin. The Giants used a third-round pick on Notre Dame wide receiver Malachi Fields as well. Beckham, 33, didn’t play in the NFL in the 2025 season, remaining unsigned for the entire year following a stint with the Miami Dolphins, as he was also suspended six games for violating the league’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. However, he had expressed an interest in playing again multiple times this offseason. Beckham emerged as one of the NFL’s top receivers during his Giants tenure. After being taken by New York with the 12th overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, Beckham quickly set Giants and NFL records. He won Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2014, logging 1,305 receiving yards and making his memorable one-handed grab that season. He also tied Lance Alworth for the NFL record for the fewest games needed to reach 4,000 career receiving yards, as he had at least 1,300 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons. But Beckham’s dominance never translated into consistent success for the Giants. They reached the postseason only once in his five-year tenure with the team, causing the Giants to trade Beckham to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 as part of a rebuild. Now, Beckham will join a rebuilding Giants squad that is hoping to get back into the postseason for the first time in four years.
If you’re a runner, you’ve likely been flooded with a million and one ways to hunt down a new personal best. You’ve been promised the perfect carbon-plated shoe, handed a laundry list of mandatory strength exercises, and sold energy gels that swear they’ll carry you past mile 16 with ease. While those tools certainly have their place, there is a far more powerful weapon that most runners completely ignore. A professional gait analysis can unlock performance gains that gear and supplements simply can’t touch.
Typically, people treat a running analysis like an emergency room visit, utilizing it only when a chronic injury is already looming. I want to flip that thinking. Even for average runners, a running gait analysis can teach you a lot about how you run and ideally help you feel better while doing it. As a consistent 15-to-20 mile-per-week runner who has thankfully remained injury-free, I went into a recent analysis assuming it was a luxury. I walked out, realizing it was a roadmap.
“Technique changes occur across all sports, and running is no different,” says Tim Hilden, MSPT, ATC, a gait analysis specialist at the CU Sports Medicine Lab and Performance Center. “The fallacy is that people settle into the running style that is best for them; the reality is that some people just get really good at being bad.”
I never realized my stride was “bad” until something started to bother me. Read on to learn what to expect from a running-gait analysis appointment and how it can correct those hidden flaws, so you can finally get better at being a good runner.
What Is a Running Gait Analysis?
When I went in for my first gait analysis, I knew relatively what to expect—I’d run, get a video, see what didn’t align or look wonky, and be on my way. What actually happened was so much more than that.
A running gait analysis has three components: a physical exam and movement evaluation, treadmill running video analysis, and coaching to correct movement quality, improve mobility, or address whatever needs to change. Below, I dive into exactly what happened during my analysis.
How Stride Tracking Unlocks Running Efficiency and Durability
For many runners, this type of analysis is a reactive measure used only after an injury or pain has already set in. However, you don’t have to wait until you are hurt to get one. A proper assessment can dramatically improve your baseline performance and running efficiency. It’s also incredibly valuable if you’re at a transition point in your training, says Dane N. DeLozier, PT, DPT, LAT, ATC, NASM-PES of Revo PT and Sports Performance. If you are prepping for a marathon and need to ramp up your weekly mileage, an analysis is an excellent way to kick off that training block while building durability at the same time.
Search for local physical therapy offices that specialize in sports rehab, as many will offer a running gait analysis. Some running stores offer gait analysis, as do other businesses that provide bodywork, such as chiropractic offices. In some cases, a gait analysis could be considered physical therapy and covered by insurance.
Inside the Lab and the Three Stages of a Stride Evaluation
The first part of the analysis is the physical exam portion, which looks at joint mobility and range-of-motion testing, along with strength and movement quality testing. At my exam, mobility in my hips, ankles, feet, and toes was assessed, as well as muscular force/tension, which is the pulling force of certain muscles against resistance.
“During this component, we are gathering data on single-leg stability, foot posture, and lower extremity motor control, among others,” says DeLozier. This can point to any limiting factors that may be related to a runner’s main complaint. Filming your running technique can be a helpful exercise, but linking it with what they find during the physical allows for a more comprehensive overall analysis.
After that, you’ll hop on a treadmill to record a video of your running form from the front, back, and side, and analyze it in slow motion using video and various motion-capture systems. I was surprised by how little I had to run; the initial look at my physical structure and body mechanics lasted longer than the running part. Within a few minutes of walking slowly, walking fast, and then running at my regular pace, the videos captured my running patterns for analysis.
Hilden looks at the magnitude of movements as well as their timing or control. “Sometimes it is not how far a person moves into a movement but rather how quickly they get there,” he says.
Next, it was time to watch myself run. With the help of the physical therapist, it was very easy and obvious to see where my form wasn’t quite right. Using the computer screen and software, we looked at my stride and foot placement frame by frame. You can also see the angles of different joints, such as during a foot strike, how your joints line up from your ankle to knee to hip, or even horizontally from hip to hip. Other areas highlighted in the slowed-down frames include posture, arm swing, and hip swing.
With the help of movement analysis software, a running gate analysis can show different angles and assess the body’s relative positional references on a frame-by-frame basis. As DeLozier says, to really fine-tune a runner’s technique, high-speed motion capture is critical to be able to make accurate comparisons and slow the video down while observing.
“With high-speed cameras, we are able to slow down all movement and thoroughly assess movement at each joint, each segment, and so on to connect as many dots as possible,” he says.
Last is the coaching part, where I was taught how to adjust my form to prevent any further foot pain. I hopped back on the treadmill, tried the new technique a few times while walking and running, and was then told how to implement this change gradually into my runs to avoid further injuries. In reality, this was an easy fix. I didn’t need insoles (a common recommendation for various ailments), nor did I necessarily need to come back again and do more analysis or physical therapy.
The Specific Injuries and Flaws a Stride Evaluation Fixes
“The majority of runners I see in the Gait Analysis Lab are there because of injury or pain,” Hilden says. Hopefully, that’s not why you want a running gait analysis, but if it is, getting specific advice on how to change your form can be game-changing. “I will also see people who are either new to running and wanting to prevent injury, or those who are wondering if their challenges with improving performance may be related to how they run. For those individuals, the process is the same.”
If you are experiencing pain, a gait analysis can help determine which mechanical influences are causing it and address the movement issues that may be driving it. The most common aches and pains that DeLozier evaluates during his analysis are anterior knee pain, plantar/achilles pain, and hip pain.
“If a runner is struggling with ongoing pain while training or they are looking to stop recurring knee pain from returning, a gait analysis is an excellent investment,” he says.
Rafael Jodar has generated headlines at the French Open 2026 and not only for his play. He was involved in a controversy over whether he shoved a ball girl, but he denied the accusation, and video appears to exonerate him.
As he advances through round after round at the tournament, that has some fans wondering about his family and girlfriend history. Is he dating anyone? What’s his biography? It appears that Jodar is single, or he keeps any girlfriend history private. Unlike other tennis players, such as Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner, he doesn’t have a girlfriend or wife front and center in the stands. Jodar’s rise in professional tennis rankings has been described as “meteoric.”
Rafa Jodar’s Instagram page is focused on his tennis career and is silent about any girlfriend or relationship. Of course, the Spanish tennis phenom, who is currently ranked 29th in the world, is only 19 years old. However, his father is prominently visible in his life.

According to The New York Times, Jodar’s dad, also named Rafael, was instrumental in his success. The father is “a women’s basketball coach, physiotherapist and now a largely self-taught tennis coach, who has guided his son,” The Times reported.
At one recent match, the father “sat stoic and alone — no hometown entourage in sight — in the courtside players’ box. Even when the match tightened, he was mostly still and silent,” The Times reported.
“He wants Rafa to have adversity,” Brian Rasmussen, the assistant coach for the men’s team at Virginia, told The Times. “He wants his son to work through these things.”
Rafael Jodar Says He Was Speaking to His Dad When the Ball Girl Fell
“No, I didn’t touch her. I mean, I would never do that,” Jodar said in a press conference. “She was walking backwards… I didn’t push her or anything. I was saying to my dad to give me the things he was going to give me after my toilet break when I was coming back.”
He added: “But yes, she was in the middle, so I think she was trying to get out of the way going backwards. But I think she fell, not because I pushed her, but because it was something… the cover, was right behind her.”
Rafa Jodar’s Bio Says His Parents Are His ‘Heroes’
Jodar has called his parents his heroes, according to his ATP Tour bio, which reads, “Started playing tennis at home when he was 4. Since then, he has liked the sport. Enjoys playing and watching tennis a lot and usually practices at his tennis club in Madrid. Says his parents are his heroes.”
The bio also gives tidbits about his life, revealing, “Says his secret talent is his music taste, and Coldplay is his favorite band. Says his best quality is playing soccer, and his worst quality is cooking. Favorite school subject is Math. Hobby is playing chess. Enjoys Spanish food.”
The bio adds, “Favourite movie is Pirates of the Caribbean and actor is Johnny Depp. Favourite TV show is Outer Banks and book is Harry Potter.”
