Why We Love This Deal
Patagonia cracked open its annual Winter Sale not long ago, and to our surprise, it’s already increased the discounts on most of the featured products. We’re now seeing deals of up to 50% off cozy flannel shirt jackets, hiking shirts, and a ton of fleece. The brand’s beloved Houdini Stash jacket, which is relied upon by runners and hikers of all kinds, is also half off and selling for under $70.
Patagonia’s Houdini Stash Half-Zip Pullover is on sale for just $69—that’s a 50% discount from its normal price of $139. Five total colors are on sale, ranging from this price up to $97, and most sizes are still available. The Houdini has developed a cult following for its blend of low weight, easy packability, and good ventilation, which makes it an ideal layer for high-intensity outdoor activities like hiking and climbing, and it’s also a great thing to pack for travel when you’re not sure what the weather will be like.

What Shoppers Should Know
- Colorways Available: 4 on sale, 4 at full price
- Sizes Available: XS-3XL
- Fabric: 100% recycled nylon ripstop with DWR finish
Patagonia optimized the Houdini for low weight and packability, and that’s especially true for this half-zip version of the jacket. It’s made from a 100% recycled nylon ripstop fabric that gives it dependable durability without bulkiness, and it’s treated with a DWR finish that repels light moisture and stains.
Unlike the regular Houdini, this version does not have a hood. Despite its streamlined design and minimalist fabric, reviewers report the Houdini Half-Zip is great at blocking the wind, and open vents on the front and back of the garment create cooling airflow, so you don’t overheat when you’re working hard. Two side pockets and a spacious chest pocket store essentials, and the entire pullover packs down easily into the chest pocket for storage.

What Shoppers Are Saying
You’ll see one word repeated in the reviews section for the Houdini Half-Zip: “perfect.” One shopper called it the “perfect just in case jacket,” and another said it’s “the perfect piece for running and high exertion in cold environments.”
Shoppers particularly love its low weight, excellent packability, and its impressive wind-stopping power. It can really take the sting out of cold temps and blustery breezes. One shopper called it “amazingly windproof given its light weight,” and another said it’s “super compact and lightweight and stops the wind 100%.”
As far as windbreakers go, the Patagonia Houdini Stash Half-Zip is one of the best you can get, and at just $69, the price is unbeatable. Don’t snooze on this deal—you’ll be glad to have this versatile, high-performance layer in your closet once those chilly spring winds start blowing.

Rotten Tomatoes’ website features a list of the 300 greatest movies ever made, which evolves continuously. As of March 2026, the list names The Godfather as the Best Movie of All Time. The page featuring the list also details the methodology behind it, which factors in Tomatometer and Popcornmeter scores with other factors, including how many reviews a movie has received.
While there is no denying that some modern viewers may initially struggle with The Godfather’s pacing, it is extremely easy to argue that the film ultimately is timeless. One of the film’s obvious highlights is its incredibly compelling story that expertly touches on themes like family loyalty, the immigrant struggle, being corrupted by power, and moral compromise, among others. Celebrated at the time, The Godfather won many contemporary awards, including Oscars for Best Picture and Best Actor in a Leading Role. The American Film Institute also named it as the second-best film ever made in the United States, ranking it only behind Citizen Kane.

Papa John’s Plans to Close 300 U.S. Locations by 2027
Papa John’s is set to close up to 300 of the company’s stores in North America by the end of 2027, with roughly 200 locations possibly shuttering as soon as by the end of this year.
Why Papa John’s Is Closing So Many Locations in the Coming Months
On February 26, CNN reported on Papa John’s announcing plans for many store closures during an earnings call that happened that day. While addressing investors, it was revealed that up to 300 underperforming locations would be shut down by the end of 2027. It was also announced that about 7% of the company’s roughly 700-person corporate workforce had been cut.
The company’s Chief Financial Officer and President of the chain’s North American operations, Ravi Thanawala, addressed the planned closures. He explained that the locations that would be closed were “not meeting brand expectations or lack a clear path to sustainable financial improvement, as well as locations where we can effectively transfer sales to a nearby restaurant.” The company didn’t reveal specifics about any of the locations that had been chosen for closure.
The other key piece of information that was announced while discussing the plans was that as many as 200 Papa John’s restaurants could be shut down by the end of 2026. That is especially remarkable since the announcement was made on February 26, when only 307 days were left in the year. 200 locations closing over that span of time would be a very steady pace.
According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Papa John’s was operating 3,523 locations as of December 28, 2025. That means that if 300 locations are closed by the end of 2027, 3,253 of the chain’s locations will remain in operation. Still, based on their own numbers, the company is preparing to shut down roughly 8.5% of their restaurants.
The major moves from the pizza chain follow a tough stretch for the company. Papa John’s suffered a roughly 5.4% decline in same-store sales in North America, according to the earnings call details reported by CNN.
It is important to note that Papa John’s is far from the only company in the restaurant business that struggled in 2025. According to a report from the National Restaurant Association, 53% of operators reported a decline in sales in December 2025 from the same month the previous year.
