4 Takeaways From Tyler Reddick’s History-Making COTA Win

Tyler Reddick went from no wins in 2025 to making history in 2026. The 23XI Racing driver won Sunday at Circuit of the Americas to become the first driver in Cup Series history to open the season with three consecutive victories. In dominating on a road course, Reddick’s victory at COTA — even though he won there in 2023 — might have been the most impressive of the three, which started with drafting-track races at Daytona and Atlanta. “it’s unbelievable,” 23XI co-owner Denny Hamlin said in his post-race news conference. “I’m not going to see it again in my lifetime, someone to go out there and win three races in a row to start the season.” Here are my takeaways: 1. Reddick Makes History How much more can you say about Reddick, who won the 2024 regular-season title but then went winless in 2025? He had eight career victories coming into the season and while considered a great talent, even this would have been difficult to predict. He was the class of the field Sunday, along with road-course ace Shane van Gisbergen. SVG, the winner of five of the six road-course races last year, was unable to catch Reddick throughout the final stage. Reddick led 58 of the 95 laps, including the final 20. “We did not like getting beat like that at road courses,” Reddick said in his television interview after the race. “It’s one race, but it was so important, so fitting that we were able to get three in a row and make history.” 2. Long Trackhouse Day Trackhouse Racing drivers had high hopes, with Ross Chastain on the front row and van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch known for their road-racing prowess. It just wasn’t in the cards for van Gisbergen, who faded over the last 15 laps. “Just following Tyler, his driving was immaculate and his car was very good, too,” van Gisbergen said in his television interview after the race. “I tried but didn’t quite have enough.” Zilisch showed promise but was involved in a few incidents, including one late in the race when he was top five and was turned around along with Zane Smith. It was even worse for Chastain, who raced in the top 10 all day until a wheel came off his car, resulting in a two-lap penalty and an almost-certain two-race suspension to two of his crew members. 3: Bowman Sub From … TV Alex Bowman was not feeling well and with him near the rear of the field, his Hendrick Motorsports team told him he could get out of the car because they likely would finish near the rear of the field. Bowman took the offer, and then Myatt Snider got in the car. Snider, a part-time driver who has competed in the NASCAR development series, was actually working for FOX Sports as a pit spotter, whose role is helping gather information for pit reporters. 4: Deep Holes Early Bowman is in the deepest hole after three races, as he sits last among the 36 drivers. So while 45 points might not be hard to make up on 16th over the next 23 races, he’ll have to hope that some of the other drivers back in the standings with him don’t rattle off wins. There are five drivers at least 30 points out: Connor Zilisch, Cody Ware, Austin Dillon, Erik Jones and Bowman. They can all make the playoffs, but they are almost out of mulligans. 4 ½: What’s Next The Cup Series heads to Phoenix for its first race on a track shorter than 1.5 miles. They will share the weekend bill with INDYCAR, which will race Saturday; Cup will race Sunday. Reddick has two top fives in 12 Cup starts at Phoenix. With 23XI co-owner Michael Jordan having been there for the first three wins, will he be at Phoenix? “I’ll be at Phoenix,” he said on the telecast.

University of Colorado Quarterback Dies at 23 – What’s Known About His Cause of Death

University of Colorado quarterback Dominiq Ponder has died, the program shared Sunday. Ponder was 23 years old.

A transfer from Bethune-Cookman, Ponder spent two seasons with the Buffaloes. Details about his death have not been officially confirmed, but multiple reports indicate Ponder was killed in an accident.

Possible details on Ponder’s death emerge

According to reporter Scott Procter, who covers Colorado for DNVR Buffs, Ponder died in a single-car crash.

“RIP Dominiq Ponder. The Colorado QB passed away in a single-car accident. Tragic news on the eve of spring ball,” Procter tweeted Sunday evening.

Additionally, USA TODAY’s Brent Schrotenboer says Colorado State Patrol confirmed that a 23-year-old male was killed in a single-car accident in Boulder County around 3 a.m. Sunday morning, but did not release the victim’s name.

“Patrol Sergeant Ivan Alvarado said the driver lost control of his 2023 Tesla while negotiating a right-hand curve on Baseline Road near Newland Court,” Schrotenboer said. “He said the westbound car went across the eastbound lanes, burst through a guardrail, hit an electrical pole and rolled at least once. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.”

Deion Sanders pays tribute to his fallen player

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders shared the sad news about Ponder in a heartfelt X/Twitter message.

“God please comfort the Ponder family, friends & Loved ones,” Sanders wrote. “Dom was one of my favorites! He was Loved, Respected & a Born Leader. Let’s pray for all that knew him & had the opportunity to be in his presence. Lord you’re receiving a good 1. Comfort us Lord Comfort us.”

Colton Allen, another quarterback on the Buffaloes’ roster, posted his own thoughts on his teammate on Instagram.

“Dom, you were a blessing to so many people,” Allen said. “You had a presence about you that just made everything better. You brought so much joy to me and everyone around you. I’m grateful for every lift, every practice, every rep, every conversation we got to share. I’ll carry those with me for the rest of my life.”

A native of Opa Locka, Florida, Ponder appeared in two games for Colorado last season, carrying the ball twice and throwing one incompletion. He was 2-of-8 passing for 33 yards and two interceptions in his lone season at Bethune-Cookman in 2023.

SheBelieves Cup: USA Blanks Argentina On Goals By Lindsey Heaps, Jaedyn Shaw

Lindsey Heaps had a goal and an assist, and Jaedyn Shaw also scored to propel the United States to a sixth straight shutout victory, 2-0 over Argentina in the SheBelieves Cup on Sunday. The U.S. has outscored opponents 27-1 over its past seven games. Coach Emma Hayes’ squad hasn’t lost since falling 2-1 to Portugal in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Oct. 23. Heaps scored from the top of the box in the 19th minute. Emma Sears worked the ball out of the left corner and into the box, then passed to a wide-open Heaps, who converted with her left foot. It was her 39th international goal, the most on the current U.S. roster. Shaw found the back of the net from the top left corner of the box. Her right-footed shot curved toward the left post and into the net for her 10th international goal. After Shaw scored, Lilly Reale was treated for a right leg injury and replaced by Emily Fox. During stoppage time, Argentina’s Milagros Martin was assessed a yellow card for shoving Trinity Rodman in the back. The U.S. dominated possession, holding the ball 67.7% of the time. The Americans had three shots on target, while Argentina had just one on target against U.S. goalkeeper Claudia Dickey. The SheBelieves Cup — a four-team round-robin that also includes Canada and Colombia — moves to Columbus, Ohio, on Wednesday, when the Americans will take on Canada. The Canadians beat Colombia 4-1 earlier Sunday.

Tom Holland and Zendaya Are Married, Confirms Couple’s Stylist

Tom Holland and Zendaya have officially tied the knot, according to their longtime shared stylist and close friend, Law Roach.

The fashion guru revealed this news while speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet for The Actor Awards – previously named the SAG (Screen Actors’ Guild) Awards on Sunday Night, when asked about the couple’s (seemingly) upcoming nuptials.

When asked by the reporter about the wedding, Law responded in a sing-song voice, “The wedding has already happened! You missed it!”

“Is that true?!” The reporter asked.

“It’s very true!” Roach responded, before thanking her and exiting the interview.

This surprise reveal actually tracks from the stylist, who once said the two Spider-Man stars’ wedding would be a very private affair, which he would assist them in keeping under wraps. When he appeared on Complex‘s “Please Explain” video podcast and was asked about a potential Zendaya wedding look, given the duo’s innovative fashion collaborations on the red carpet, he said the look wouldn’t be such a public spectacle, like the Met Gala.

“There won’t be a Vogue spread or pictures of the wedding; the people she will invite are going to be very respectful of their privacy,” the celebrity stylist said. “So it’ll be a very beautiful dress that no one gets to see.”

Tom Holland and Zendaya were first reported to be dating around a decade ago, back when production first started on Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), after they were cast as Peter Parker and MJ, respectively. Although they denied the reports about a romantic relationship, rumors continued to persist for years, until they confirmed their relationship in 2021, after being photographed kissing during the final months of production for their third Spidey outing, Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).

The couple was confirmed to be engaged early last year, after reports confirmed the diamond ring Zendaya was wearing to events was indeed an engagement ring. Although Tom and Zendaya are notoriously private about their relationship, the actor confirmed the two were getting married during an interview. When a reporter referred to Zendaya as Tom’s girlfriend, he corrected them, simply responding, “fiancée.”

Winter Storm Warnings Issued for 8 States as 1 Foot of Snow, Strong Winds Approach

When Punxsutawney Phil prognosticated another six weeks of winter, many in the United States were hoping he’d be wrong. One month later, another snowstorm – just days after a record-setting blizzard in the Northeast – is set to hit with snow and ice accumulations spreading from Kansas to Maine.

“Energetic upper-flow over a wavy frontal boundary will lead to widespread precipitation chances from the central to eastern U.S. over the next few days,” the National Weather Service warned.

“Precipitation chances will shift eastward through the overnight hours and into the day Monday from the Middle Missouri Valley into the Ohio Valley and central Appalachians, with rain once again for locations further south and a wintry mix more likely to the north.”

8 States Under Winter Storm Warnings

As the storm spreads east, the National Weather Service has issued winter storm warnings for eight states over the next two days.

Indiana, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, West Virginia and Virginia are all under winter weather advisories for Sunday night into Monday morning and beyond as snow and ice accumulations bring dangerous travel conditions overnight.

“By Monday evening, a greater surge of warm, moist air will lead to another round of precipitation as the front begins to lift northward. The potentially most impactful precipitation will be across portions of the central Appalachians and Mid-Atlantic late Monday into Tuesday morning where freezing rain is expected on the northern side of the front,” the National Weather Service warned.

Missouri is expected to receive the worst of this storm as up to four inches of snow and ice accumulations are possible.

Elsewhere, Alaska is under a threat of its own. The arctic boundary over the panhandle is expected to continue to linger around Frederick Sound Monday into Tuesday. An approaching system will bring a fresh influx of moisture and moderate to heavy snow, with accumulations up to 12 inches and strong 35 mph winds in the area.

East Coast Preparing for Even More Snow

Just a week after getting hit with a record-setting blizzard, the East Coast is expected to be hit with another winter storm as the fronts push snow and ice across the United States.

Some ice accretions are forecast, especially along the eastern side of the central Appalachians, according to the National Weather Service. This wintry mix will lift northward into New England through the day Tuesday, with some light ice accretions and snow accumulations possible.

Michael Jordan Praises Tyler Reddick, 23XI Racing: ‘I Just Put Up the Money’

Michael Jordan achieved two three-peats during his NBA career. On Sunday, he achieved another, in a different sport when 23XI Racing driver Tyler Reddick earned the checkered flag at the NASCAR Cup Series race at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin. Reddick became the first NASCAR driver in history to start a season by winning the first three races, including the season-opening Daytona 500. Jordan might have a knack for winning, but he passed all the praise to Reddick and his business partner, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin, jokingly saying: “Look, I just put up the money.” “Tyler did a good job,” Jordan told telling FOX Sports’ Jamie Little after the race. “He beat some good competition,” “I’m proud of the team we put together,” he added. “Denny, I’m pretty sure is the same way. He feels the same way as I do. And I think a lot of credit goes to him because he’s the mastermind behind finding Tyler. … I think Denny’s done an unbelievable job in terms of helping build this team. And I think this team has done a good job of taking on leadership and just winning. That’s what it’s about. Winning.” While Jordan was humble, his prowess as a winner is something that can help Reddick and the rest of 23XI Racing understand what it takes. They’re applying his teachings recently. “It’s time for change,” Jordan said. “And the guys feel the same thing. Tyler came in with the most pressure, I guess. Everybody expected him, or he had a chance to win three in a row. That’s the hardest one to win, you know. And you know, he kept to his strategy, and the guys put together a great car.” On Sunday, Reddick lead 58 of 95 laps in a race that featured 14 lead changes. He set up that victory with great preparation, earning pole position in qualification. His win meant that 23XI Racing became the first team to win the opening three races of the season since Petty Enterprises did it in 1963, per NASCAR. Moreso, Reddick (186 points) holds a 70 point lead on fellow 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace in second place in the NASCAR Cup Series standings. He has a chance to make it four in a row at the Straight Talk Wireless 500 at Phoenix Raceway next Sunday.

Nancy Guthrie Update: New Complaint Emerges as Case Takes Turn

The search for Nancy Guthrie is nearing its fifth week as investigators continue to hunt for clues as to the whereabouts of the 84-year-old. The mother of Savannah Guthrie was last seen on Jan. 31 after she failed to show for a church service.

As the investigation continues, both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Pima County Sheriff’s Department made changes to their personnel.

FBI, Pima County Sheriff’s Department Changes Explained

NewsNation’s Brian Entin explained why the FBI made its changes and offered his take on why the Pima County Sheriff’s Office followed suit – with a little help from Guthrie’s neighbors.

“The fact they’re going back to Phoenix doesn’t really surprise me, and I don’t think it impacts the investigation that much. It just doesn’t feel that active in Tucson. They are still going to keep a contingent of FBI agents on the ground here in Tucson,” he said.

“In terms of the Pima County Sheriff’s Office, I’m told they are still keeping a number of detectives on the case, but it won’t be all the detectives like it was,” he added. “…I mean, pretty much everyone with the Pima County Sheriff’s Office was working the case at one point, so that’s not going to be the case anymore. Which makes sense because they have other crimes here.”

Entin revealed neighbors in the area have complained about the lack of police presence elsewhere as everyone remained focus on the search for Guthrie.

“I mean, that’s been one complaint that I’ve heard from people who live here is their worried that other crimes aren’t going to be investigated because all the focus was on Nancy Guthrie. So it makes sense that they would have to sort of reallocate some of those resources.”

Guthrie Family Offering $1 Million for Information

The Guthrie family offered a new reward of $1 million for information that leads to the whereabouts of the missing 84-year-old.

“Please keep praying without ceasing,” Savannah Guthrie said in a previous Instagram video. “We still believe. We still believe in a miracle. We still believe that she can come home, hope against hope. As my sister says, ‘We are blowing on the embers of hope.’”

Former FBI supervisor Jason Pack revealed the strategic pivot involved in ratcheting up the reward.

“There are some people who were close to what happened, that know what happened, that now have a decision to make, and that decision was really, really ratcheted up by this reward that Savannah and her family offered,” he said.

The search for Guthrie is 29 days old.

Harry Styles Netflix Project: Release Date, Synopsis, and What We Know So Far

If you’ve been out and about in a major city this weekend, you may have noticed some advertising for Harry Styles’s upcoming album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. While this is hardly out of the ordinary, with the album being one of the most anticipated music releases of the year, new advertisements for the project appear to include a Netflix logo.

So what could these advertisements mean? A concert special, like Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS Tour Netflix collab, or a more documentary-driven feature, Taylor Swift‘sMiss Americana? A series, a movie, another acting endeavour for Harry? Here’s what eagle-eyed fans have picked up on so far.

Harry Styles’s Netflix Project Appears to be Called ‘Disco’

So far, Styles super-fan sleuths have found a yet-to-be-released Netflix title named Disco, which is highly appropriate for the album title, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally. The thumbnail includes a broken disco ball next to some smashed and spilled foods, such as Spaghetti, eggs, and tomatoes.

The picture also matches a real photo, which can barely be seen in the images of the photobook version of the album, posted in promotion by retailers and Harry’s website for those who wish to pre-order.

Tomatoes seem to be a recurring theme for this upcoming album, with a red vinyl variant named “Tomato,” and fans reporting receiving tomato seed packets at album listening parties, which is an oddly specific gift if there’s no tie-in to KISSCO’s contents. Additionally, fruit has been a frequent feature in Styles’s previous work — Watermelon Sugar, Kiwi, Grapejuice, anyone?

Moreover, the listed tags for the title are “Music,” “British,” and “Concerts.” Does anyone suit these clues more than Harry, especially with the Disco name? What’s confusing, however, is that it seems to be listed as both “TV Program,” and “Movie,” which will likely be clarified soon.

Netflix users can set a reminder to receive a notification when the project drops, so the release date, while unconfirmed, appears to be in the near future, possibly within the next month, judging by when this button usually appears on the streaming service. If the album’s release date of Friday, March 6, is anything to go by, this would be a pretty good release window to give fans a visual insight into the new album.
