In a city defined by its sonic legacy, two downtown Nashville landmarks are joining forces to offer visitors a new way to inhabit the storied history of Music City. Noelle Nashville and the Ryman Auditorium have launched the Ryman Vinyl Suite, a luxury, country-themed hideaway marking the Grand Ole Opry’s 100th anniversary and the Country Music Association Awards season.

The collaboration between the chic boutique hotel and the legendary venue historically known as the “Mother Church of Country Music” aims to provide guests with more than just a standard overnight stay. The suite is designed as a celebration of Nashville’s live music tradition, featuring rare country music memorabilia, archival photography, and a curated vinyl collection that celebrates the Ryman’s storied past.

“The magic of Nashville’s music scene lies in its ability to transport you—to make you feel like you’re part of something timeless and alive,” said Ben Thiele, Managing Director of Noelle Nashville. “Inspired by the Ryman, we are able to offer guests an experience that goes far beyond a hotel stay. It’s a chance to live inside Nashville’s musical story, surrounded by the artifacts and sounds that shaped American music history.”

Designed by Sarah Stacey Interior Design, the suite’s maximalist aesthetic is a deliberate homage to the golden era of country. The room features vintage concert posters, pennant flags, and exclusive photographs of performers who have graced the legendary stage, including Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton and Minnie Pearl. However, the striking centerpiece of the suite is a vinyl wall installation that showcases playable records, album covers, and authentic pieces from Nashville’s musical legacy.

The layout of the suite prioritizes audio appreciation. A dedicated listening lounge serves as the heart of the room, where visitors can explore a library of over 100 classic country albums. The suite provides dual pathways for audio, featuring both a vintage-style gramophone and a Crosley record player, alongside a Bluetooth gramophone and a Marshall speaker. Headphones are also provided for a more solitary listening experience.

The design details extend to the architectural elements of the room. Custom stained-glass windows were installed to mirror the Ryman Auditorium’s distinctive gothic revival façade, bringing the warm, kaleidoscopic glow associated with the venue’s 1892 construction into the hotel setting. The suite’s wardrobe features a hand-drawn applique mimicking the ornate balcony pattern of the auditorium, paying tribute to the intricate 19th-century craftsmanship of the venue originally built as the Union Gospel Tabernacle.

Beyond the head-turning decor, the suite houses rare artifacts that offer an intimate look at music history. The most notable item is a Washburn guitar displayed on the vinyl wall installation. Crafted from the Ryman’s original oak pews, Washburn produced only 243 of these instruments. Even more interesting? The specific guitar hanging in the suite is signed by blues legend B.B. King.

The suite is available for booking either as a standalone accommodation or as part of Noelle’s “Needle on the Record” package, which includes two tickets to a daytime tour of the Ryman Auditorium, a letterpress show print to commemorate the visit, and an in-room Old Fashioned cocktail kit. Scarlett Johansson will fight satanic forces in a new Exorcist movie set in the same universe as the original supernatural classic.

Variety reports that the Jurassic World Rebirth actress will star in a “radical new take” on the original, which followed two Catholic priests tasked with exorcising a demon from a 12-year-old girl. The 1973 horror classic was a critical and financial hit, generating $441 million globally and 10 Oscar nominations.

The reboot will be written, directed and produced by Mike Flanagan, who’s perhaps best known for Stephen King movie adaptations Doctor Sleep (2019) and Tom Hiddleston-led The Life of Chuck (2024), but has also proven himself as one of the horror genre’s great auteurs with his acclaimed Netflix series The Haunting of Hill House (2018) and The Fall of the House of Usher (2023).

“Scarlett is a brilliant actress whose captivating performances always feel grounded and real, from genre films to summer blockbusters, and I couldn’t be happier to have her join this Exorcist film,” Flanagan said, according to Variety. Filming will take place in New York City, but additional plot details and cast members haven’t been revealed.

In 2021, Universal paid an eye-watering $400 million to secure the rights for a new Exorcist trilogy. The studio’s first attempt at a revitalization, 2023’sThe Exorcist: Believer, failed to justify sequels after generating $137 million at the box office and a lackluster reaction from both critics and audiences.

The franchise has seen multiple other expansions, including 1977’s universally panned Exorcist II, 1990’s cult-classic Exorcist III, and two coolly received prequels released in 2004 and 2005. Perhaps Flanagan’s ScarJo-led revival will finally give new life to the demonic film franchise.

The Tudor Ranger’s famously durable pedigree just gained another legendary member: The newest Tudor Ranger delivers both a streamlined case size and eye-catching dial color inspired by Saudi Arabia’s notorious Dakar Rally.

The most extreme conditions on Earth, like that of Saudi Arabia’s Empty Quarter (population: Zero) during the Dakar Rally are nothing if not prime proving ground for tools of all sorts, field watches very much included, and the tough-as-nails design of the slimmed-down Ranger echoes that durable sentiment in a smaller build. Its older brother, the 39mm Tudor Ranger, boasts a hard-working heritage dating back to frigid 1950s-era Arctic expeditions, and the windswept desert delivered just as much modern inspiration for the eye-catching “Dune White” 36mm Tudor Ranger.

The decision to streamline the Tudor Ranger was made with efficiency in mind, the Swiss watchmaker said, noting that “complexity increases the likelihood of failure,” with a mechanical failure at the Dakar Rally, for instance, serving as “the difference between finishing the race and spending a part of the night in the desert, cold and alone.” The image is nothing if not striking, and in designing the new Tudor Ranger, the horologist noted “there are parallels in watches” as with endurance racing, with the matte Dune White dial bolstering the “robust, reliable and simple” nature of the Tudor Ranger lineup.

The specs are dialed down to the most precise manner possible, including a satin-brushed 316L stainless steel case, available in both the new 36mm size and the original 39mm case design. Super-LumiNova ‘Ranger’ hands stand out in low-light conditions, while the chronometer-certified Manufacture Caliber MT5400 or MT5402 movement powers the timepiece, dependent on case size selected.

Arabic numerals dot four key points on the dial in keeping with the design heritage of the Ranger roster. Both the 36mm and 39mm editions are delivered on either a satin-brushed stainless steel bracelet or alongside an earthy tri-color fabric strap, each offering a suitable mix of rugged functionality and stylish form across the globe.

Priced reasonably starting at $3,350 for the new fabric-strap iteration of the hard-wearing 36mm Tudor Ranger, the offering carries forward the same famously functional heritage for which the lineup is known (the Ranger was originally tested in the frigid north of Greenland, after all).
