Ferrari’s First Digital Supercar Is An NFT Celebrating Le Mans Dominance

(Ferrari)

Ferrari’s trio of consecutive victories at Le Mans has inspired another historic feat for the preeminent marque: its first digital hypercar. Following a 50-year absence, Ferrari returned to the world’s most prestigious endurance race in 2023 with the 499P prototype, a carbon-structured technical marvel featuring a 296-derived 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 combined with a front electric motor that together produce a maximum of 680 horsepower at any given time, per FIA regulations.

In that year, Le Mans’ centenary, the 499P earned Ferrari its first overall win since 1965. In 2024, the factory car had triumphed again at the 8.5-mile Circuit de la Sarthe, while in 2025, a privately purchased 499P won it for a hat trick, allowing Ferrari to join fellow consecutive Le Mans-three-peaters Toyota and Audi in keeping the 24K gold trophy permanently.

Ferrari F80 (Ferrari)

In name, the F76 seen here harks all the way back to when the Touring-bodied 166 MM barchetta became the first Prancing Horse to win Le Mans 76 years ago in 1949. But in form, the F76 aims to “prefigure the shapes of Ferraris of the future…. where form, function and performance merge as a single organism.”

(Ferrari)

Created by the Ferrari Styling Centre led by Flavio Manzoni, the F76 isn’t a racer. There are separate driver and passenger cells, which create the distinctive “double fuselage” shape, conceived in “a quest for maximum purity in airflow management.” The design allows for a central underbody channel that effectively turns the car’s body into a ground effect-creating wing. The sides feature one of the only elements shared by extant Ferraris—the vertical cuts the recall those found on the flagship F80. Follow the 3D livery superimposed on these cuts to the central area between the driver and passenger cells to find lateral louvres, a signature Ferrari feature found on the 250 series, the 296 Speciale, and many others in between.

(Ferrari)

The front also extrapolates on the F80, taking the floating splitter found on the latest in Ferrari’s Supercar lineage to an extreme with a band suspended between the wings. The two pairs of retractable headlights, positioned laterally under the suspended band, represent the link between the legacy of Ferrari’s 1970s and ‘80s pop-up headlights and the futuristic character of the F76.

(Ferrari)

Meanwhile, the unique tails of the passenger/driver cells help aid in optimal cooling, while the rear features two vertical profiles that are sculpted exactly to the vehicle’s track width. Four iconic taillights are integrated into the wing, eliminating the need for any weight-adding or line-interrupting fixtures.

(Ferrari)

The interior may be the most forward-thinking feature. Per Ferrari, “Two separate cockpits, utilizing drive-by-wire technology, synchronize every driving component, from the steering wheel to the pedals, allowing both occupants to experience and share sensations in real time, elevating both the emotional and technical participation in the driving experience.”

(Ferrari)

While tempting to think of the F76 as a concept, it’s actually a non-fungible token (NFT) that was designed for clients of Ferrari’s Hyperclub program, which offers its most cherished clients extra access to facets of its endurance racing program, as well as tokens and smart contracts. If the F76 ever did exit the digital realm and enter the factory, we’re here for it.

Timberland Unveils Elevated Take On Classic 6-Inch Boot

Even the most reliable menswear standards can do with a fresh set of eyes from time to time, particularly in the rugged, brisk climes of fall: Meet the latest take on the iconic Timberland 6-Inch Boot, a revamp of a classic footwear staple.

(Timberland)

The origins of the instantly recognizable Timberland 6-Inch Boot date back 1973, when an 8-inch style first hit the market geared toward construction workers. Decades later, the rugged reliability of Timberland footwear in all manner of ghastly weather is legendary, but it also boasts heady streetwear cache in the fashion community (everyone from Jay-Z to Rihanna has rocked Timberland over the years).

(Timberland)

As to the original, 80 separate steps go into the hard-wearing boot’s 39 componentsA fresh take on a classic, then, seems in order in time for fall, and the famed New Hampshire company seems to have gotten the details entirely correct in this new, handsomely rugged and functional special edition release.

(Timberland)

The newest member of the hallowed Timberland 6-Inch Boot takes the ultra-familiar silhouette and revamps it with new-and-improved fabrication and a decidedly luxe finish, this time featuring both a waterproof finish and ultra-premium Horween Dryden leather. The effect lives up to its name, complete with a sturdy and comfortable Vibram outsole.

(Timberland)

The same hallmarks of iconic Timberland boot construction are still present, including contrast stitching at the sole and four-row contrast stitching across the upper. A thick leather cuff in contrasting rich brown leather (at least, on the newest version of the legendary Wheat pair) adds a luxe shot of detail, while the boots also come with Horween trademark tags in a further nod to their ultra-premium construction. Its eye-catching hex-shaped brass eyelets remain, and the newest edition of the Timberland 6-Inch Boot also comes in fresh black to suit every sense of style.

And while the Timberland 6-Inch Boot has undergone various reinventions through the years, it’s hard to argue with a classic: That sentiment holds especially true when the classic is updated in luxurious, American-made leather, complete with a leather-welted finish. Then as now, in decades past, look to the reliable form, function and streetwear-ready style of the famed Timberland 6-Inch Boot, this time with a fresh outlook ahead of winter.

Westland Enters New Era With 10-Year Garryana Oak Whiskey

(Westland)

Seattle’s Westland distillery has made major changes to their portfolio over the last few years, but the latest change represents a major milestone: for the first time in its history, the distillery has put an age statement on a bottle.

For the tenth edition of Westland Garryana American Single Malt, the distillery marked the major milestone by using only whiskey 10 years and older, to create Westland Garryana 10th Edition. The Garryana experiment started back in November of 2011. Back then, the vague charge was essentially to trial and error the way to a consensus on how to use barrels made of Garryana oak (a rare American species of white oak).

Quercus garryana grows in a narrow range of mountainous regions in the Pac Northwest. As a whiskey ingredient, it exhibits specific flavors — a “powerful spice” that spurs Westland to make Dune references when discussing it. For nearly 15 years, the Westland team has been seeing what happens with Garryana oak barrels, and each edition of Westland Garryana has attempted to “build” on the previous year’s accomplishments.

(Westland)

The first edition was released in 2015 — the keystone in a brand building a reputation for their focus on terroir. It paid attention to local grains, local maltings, and local wood for locally coopered barrels. That meant Northwestern farmers, and peat and wood from the Pacific Northwest.

The nine previous iterations of this whisky have all been blends. All have employed other cask types to balance out the bold flavor imparted on whiskey by barrels made from garryana oak. Previous releases have included bourbon casks, sherry casks — pretty much anything you can think of that’s considered “standard” in the whiskey making world. For Garryana 10-Year, the distillery pulled from some of the best-performing cask types to create a wholly new whiskey. First and second fill garryana casks were blended together along with ex-bourbon, ex-rum, and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks to create the final spirit.

The result is a warm and rich whiskey dominated by a range of spices — equal parts mulled wine and pastry. Walnuts, dried tea, toffee and jammy hints of lemon and strawberry flesh out a whiskey ringing with clove and praline. Dark chocolate looms in the background, but never really overshadows brighter flavors. It’s a complex whiskey that defies any pigeonholing of styles — in other words, it’s delicious. Only 4,608 bottles of this whiskey have been filled, and while Westland’s products have never had the deserved fly-off-the-shelves demand that other American whiskey brands have achieved, it’s likely the case that this year’s big age statement will turn additional heads.

With an MSRP of $150, it may be the best value for an American Single malt this year, and an unmissable bottle if you’ve been following the growth of American Single malt for the last decade. But even if you haven’t listed ASM as one of your favorite styles in the past, this bottle is a must-try — and a testament to exactly how much undiscovered potential still exists in grain, wood, and time.
