During their 19 years of marriage together, singer Keith Urban and actress Nicole Kidman built a family together that included two kids.

Their daughters are named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban.

Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on September 30, and a court filing says that the actress “was named the primary residential parent” of the kids, according to Newsweek.

The “permanent parenting plan order” reveals states that Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret “will spend 306 days of the year with Kidman and 59 days with Urban,” Newsweek added. Kidman also shares children Bella and Connor with her ex-husband Tom Cruise.

According to People, in 2008, two years after they married, the celebrity couple “welcomed daughter Sunday Rose in Nashville.”

Then, two years later, they welcomed Faith Margaret, who “a Their family expanded on Dec. 28, 2010, when they welcomed Faith Margaret, who “was born in Nashville through a gestational surrogate,” People reported.

“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret,” the family said in a statement to People at the time. “No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.”

According to Newsweek, the parenting plan further states that Urban “will have parenting time every other weekend from 10 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday.” The girls will be with Kidman the rest of the time.

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban Walked the Paris Runaway After Nicole Kidman’s Divorce Filing

Sunday Rose Kidman Urban was walking on the Paris fashion show runway just one day after her mom’s divorce filing.

According to InStyle, she “strutted in Christian Dior’s Spring/Summer 2026 designs at the star-studded show.” In 2024, Sunday Rose walked the catwalk in a Miu Miu show, the stie reported.

Sunday Rose explained that her mom put down some rules. “The first was that I couldn’t explore any kind of fashion work until I was 16,” shetold Nylon. “And the second is that school always has to come first, which at first I hated, but I am actually really glad that I have these rules in place, because it keeps me in a good mindset.”

Urban explained Sunday’s name to Ellen DeGeneres, according to People. “We just love the name of the day. Particularly, when you don’t have someone in your life, Sunday, in my experience, was the loneliest day. The day I dreaded the most. Everyone goes with their families, and if you don’t have a family, you don’t have anybody,” Urban said.

Rising country star Maggie Baugh caused controversy and generated headlines when she posted a video to her Instagram page that showed Keith Urban changing the lyrics to his song, “The Fighter.”

Baugh, who is a utility singer on Urban’s concert tour, wrote, “Did he just say that👀” alongside the video, which showed Baugh and Urban singing together on stage.

Some fans were upset. “Why in the world would you post this?” wrote one person in the comment thread on Baugh’s Instagram page. The video was posted on September 27. That’s two days before news broke that Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, had separated. She has now filed for divorce.

The song’s original lyrics read, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter,” but Urban sang, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player.”

That has some people wondering what Urban has said about “The Fighter” song in the past, including its inspiration.

Before the 25-year-old Maggie Baugh, Urban sang the song famously with Carrie Underwood as a duet.

In 2017, Urban explained to Billboard “how a talk with Kidman had served as the inspiration for ‘The Fighter.'”

“It’s all from a conversation my wife and I had early on in our relationship, that when things get tough, I need to hold her tighter and just try to take care of her,” he told Billboard at the time.

“The song is about wanting to heal somebody, wanting to take care of somebody, wanting to protect somebody. It’s really like a vow in so many ways.”

‘The Fighter’ Developed When Keith Urban Was Playing a ‘Supportive Role’ to Nicole Kidman, Reports Say

Kidman and Urban married in 2006 and went on to have two daughters together.

Billboard reported that “The Fighter” developed while Urban “was playing the supportive role in his marriage, spending time in London” with Kidman, who was starring in a West End production at the time.

Urban wrote the chorus to the song during an Uber ride, Billboard reported.

“She’s female and tender, and I want that tenderness to not have to get hardened to the world,” Urban told Billboard of Kidman then. “That’s my job as her husband, to put myself around her so she can remain that way. And that’s really the chorus of ‘The Fighter.’ ”

At midnight on Wednesday, the United States federal government shut down after Congress failed to pass a budget, forcing hundreds of thousands of federal employees nationwide into furlough until lawmakers reach an agreement.

While some industries across the country will be largely unaffected by the government shutdown, it is a particularly big problem for the airline industry, particularly the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Government Shut Down

According to a report from Reuters, the government shutdown was caused by “deep partisan divisions” as Congress and the White House were not able to come to an agreement on a federal budget.

The outlet reported that the government shutdown could begin what it described as “a long, grueling standoff” that could impact the airline industry.

“There was no clear path out of the impasse, while agencies warned that the 15th government shutdown since 1981 would halt the release of a closely watched September employment report, slow air travel, suspend scientific research, withhold pay from U.S. troops and lead to the furlough of 750,000 federal workers at a daily cost of $400 million.” Reuters wrote on Wednesday.

Major Problem for TSA

The impact of the government shutdown will vary greatly across industries, with some feeling little to no impact while others are substantially impacted. The airline industry is expected to be among those substantially impacted, and much of that will be felt by the TSA.

When the government has shut down in the past, it has led to staffing shortages as TSA workers were forced to work for deferred paychecks. If the shutdown is long-lasting, those workers will eventually be unable to afford to continue coming in to work.

“It’s gonna keep being business as usual until the money runs out for the people coming to work every day,” said Sean O’Dell, secretary of AFG 615, which is the union that represents the TSA officers at John Glen International Airport in Columbus, Ohio. “It’ll get to a point where we can’t afford to pay for gas to come in. People can’t afford to pay for childcare. They won’t be able to do their everyday lives because they’ll be broke.”

Obviously, this is a pretty significant problem for the TSA that could cause bottlenecks and delays at airport security checkpoints across the country if the agency is understaffed.

Canada has issued a warning to travelers venturing to and from the United States, and it’s tied to a matter involving passports. The Canadian government sent the warning to travelers in order to reflect new guidelines adopted with the new American administration.

“While the Government of Canada issues passports with an ‘X’ gender identifier, it cannot guarantee your entry or transit through other countries,” says the Canadian Department of Global Affairs.

“You might face entry restrictions in countries that do not recognize the ‘X’ gender identifier.”

The Canadian government also notes that passengers may be prompted to provide information about their sex or gender identifying them as “either male or female” when traveling.

How Many Travelers Could Be Affected?

According to the CBC, the Canadian government noted that around 3,600 citizens had the ‘X’ option listed as their gender on passports, and that they’ve had the option to list it this way since 2019.

New guidelines have been administered in the United States on sex and gender based on executive orders. These guidelines are still being contested in court at the federal level, but individual institutions and government agencies are free to implement them.

Canada’s advisory states that “while the Government of Canada recognizes the ‘X’ gender identifier, it cannot guarantee your entry or transit through other countries.”

The new warning to travelers comes after previous advisories from the Canadian government to travelers about anti-LGBTQ laws at a state-by-state basis, as well as a notice that those who identify as non-binary or LGBTQ could be subject to “additional scrutiny when entering the US.”

Additionally, the Canadian government advised that travelers who apply for new Nexus trusted traveller cards or who renew existing ones would no longer be able to list “X” as their gender. The Nexus system allows for expedited travel between the two countries, pre-screening travelers who enter at designated points along the border.

Trends for Canadian-U.S. Travel

Statistics show that travel to the United States from Canada has declined in 2025.

A report published by Statistics Canada showed that in July, Canadian travelers made 1.7 million trips back into the country by motor vehicle. That’s a 37% decrease in motor vehicle travel year-over-year, and January through May visits were down 17% overall in the same time period.

The United States Travel Association reported that Canadians made 20.4 million visits to the country last year. Those visits generated $20.5 billion in spending and supported 140,000 American jobs in the process.

After the warnings to passengers about their passports, we’ll see if the new guidelines have more of an effect on travel between Canada and the United States.
