Cleanup is a breeze, as the nonstick plates pop off easily after cooled down and any grease acquired while cooking collects in the removable drip tray, all of which can be tossed in the dishwasher.

“I use this to cut back on grease on my meat, mainly. I cook sausage, bratwurst, hot dogs, hamburger, chicken, and turkey burgers on it. Everything I use it for works just fine”, said another.

We can see one of these grills cooking up a mean grilled cheese, so we’re excited to grab one during our next Aldi trip. They drop September 3, and won’t stick around long.

For nearly 100 years, Americans could buy up to $800 worth of goods from abroad without paying import taxes. That ended at 12:01 a.m. Friday, and now every item under that threshold is subject to tariffs ranging from 10 to 50 percent, or a flat fee up to $200. And the fallout is already happening.

More than two dozen countries have paused U.S. shipments entirely while they figure out how to handle the new collection rules. That includes European countries, Japan, and Taiwan. Who’s Most Affected?

Shoppers buying from smaller, global vendors—art books, collectibles, niche fashion, specialty paper, yarn, and fan merchandise. Sellers who don’t have customs infrastructure are being cut off mid-transaction. That $100 pop art catalog or $45 enamel pin set? Now carries a $40–$80 duty.

“The U.S. retail system is built on speed and scale,” Casey Armstrong, CMO of ShipBob, a global fulfillment and supply chain platform, told CNBC. “When that engine stutters — whether from tariffs, customs delays, or sourcing constraints — it’s the lowest-margin, fastest-moving goods that disappear first.”

Armstrong predicts that clothing, toys, games, and seasonal items will disappear first. However, it could also cause issues with lower-priced electronics. “Also, many products are refreshed frequently (phones, earbuds, etc.). Some Amazon sellers and big-box stores may have gaps in cheaper electronics and accessories.”

And it’s not just about cost. One UK seller told The Washington Post how his checkout system simply crashes when U.S. buyers try to pay. Others are holding shipments until the chaos calms down.

Why It Matters

The policy shift may help capture lost tax revenue and reduce counterfeit imports from platforms like Temu or Shein—but the real squeeze is hitting small vendors and passionate collectors. If you’re used to sourcing your gear from across the globe, now’s the time to rethink your strategy.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been married twice. His second wife, Lauren Hashian, is quite familiar with fame. Her father was a drummer in a legendary band.

Hashian’s dad, Sib Hashian, was the drummer for the iconic band, Boston, according to Billboard. According to Billboard, Sib Hashian’s “drum room was next to her bedroom” growing up, inspiring Lauren’s own love of music, as she is a singer/songwriter.

Johnson, 53, went viral on Sept. 1 after photos and videos from the Venice Film Festival showed him with a much slimmer physique. He is playing an iconic UFC and MMA star in the new movie, The Smashing Machine.

Johnson’s wife has been at his side through it all. According to People, they’ve been together for almost 20 years.

How Did Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Meet His Wife Lauren?

Johnson first met his future wife in 2006, on the set of the movie, The Game Plan, according to People.

They then dated for 12 years before getting married in 2019, People reported, adding that the couple have two daughters together named Jasmine and Tiana. Johnson also has a daughter, Simone Alexandra, with his first wife, Dany Garcia, according to People.

Hashian is also a singer and songwriter, according to Billboard.

“For years, I was really afraid of singing publicly,” Hashian told Billboard in 2021. “You see these artists like Olivia Rodrigo or Billie Eilish, who are so young, but they have the guts to put themselves out there, to share their songs. It’s incredible. And I think for me, looking back, I was never that kid.”

Sib Hashian died in 2017. According to ABC 7, he collapsed on stage during a cruise.

According to that television station, Sib Hashian was part of the original band that had “The original band, made up of Tom Scholz, Brad Delp, Barry Goudreau, Fran Sheehan and Hashian, had “one of the most successful debut records in history,” with well-known singles that included “Long Time” and “Peace of Mind.”

‘The Rock” Has Opened Up About the End of His 1st Marriage to Dany Garcia

“The Rock” opened up in a 2023 podcast about the depression he faced after his divorce from his first wife and the end of his football career.

“If you’re going through your own version of mental wellness turning into mental hell-ness, the most important thing you can do is talk to somebody,” he said. ‘Having the courage to talk to someone is your superpower,” he said on the Pivot Podcast.

According to Daily Mail, Johnson and Garcia divorced after 10 years of marriage in 2007.
