Stevie Nicks, best known for her work with the popular rock band Fleetwood Mac and as a solo artist, has announced that she’s being forced to postpone dates of her upcoming tour. Unfortunately, the reason has to do with her health.

In a statement sent out to venues and on her social media pages, Nicks announced that she would be postponing all of her August and September tour dates due to a fractured shoulder. The statement didn’t say ho

“Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks’ scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled,” the statement reads.

Nicks already had a bounty of October tour dates line up, and those will be unaffected, according to the statement. Now, Nicks’ upcoming tour will kick off on Oct. 1 in Portland, OR, and wrap up with a Dec. 10 show in Hollywood, FL.

Her statement continued, “More information will be available at point of purchase, ticketholders are advised to hold on to their tickets and consult the list of rescheduled dates below.” Also, “All previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date.” The statement also says that “Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologizes to the fans for this inconvenience.”

Nicks has kept busy on the touring circuit the past several years. She toured with Billy Joel in 2022 and 2023 and still draws a massive crowd due to her popularity.

In 2022, she told Tavi Gevinson of The New Yorker that she keeps a journal. It was a response to her answering a question about if she looks back on Fleetwood Mac.

“When I keep my journal, it’s big, like a telephone book, because I always feel that that will never get lost. So what I do is I write on the right side of the page, and then on the left-hand side I write poetry, which I usually take right out of my prose,” she said. “So lots of times, when I go back to them, it’s to look at the poetry for songs.”

She added, ” I would rather spend the time writing a new journal entry than going back and reading old journal entries, because if you go back you’re not going to go forward. I just try to keep going forward.”

Earlier this week American Eagles debuted a new commercial featuring actress Sydney Sweeney with a tagline that has stirred up a significant amount of controversy. The ad has been slammed by some online as Nazi-like pro-eugenics racist propaganda guised in a “jeans” ad.

What Is the Controversy Around the Sydney Sweeney Ad?

The American Eagle ad uses a play on words suggesting Sweeney won the genetic lottery, which led some to believe the apparel company was glorifying whiteness.  “Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye color. My genes are blue,” Sweeney says in one video.

The “genes” aspect of the commercial caused a stir with some likening it to the thoughts of the Nazi party which used the pseudoscience of eugenics, a suggestion that some genetic features as better than others, to justify the killing of Jews and countless other minority groups during the Holocaust.

Another version of the commercial, the only version published to American Eagles’ YouTube channel, has over three million views – but doesn’t explicitly mention “genes” like the other commercial.

Has Sydney Sweeney Responded to the Controversy?

Neither Sweeney nor American Eagle have publicly commented on the controversial ad just yet, but the Anyone But You actress did finally break her social media silence on Friday, Aug. 1.

Sweeney hadn’t posted on social media in several days before taking to her Instagram story with a photo of white roses she received.

Sweeney added a white heart on the post, but still hasn’t issued a statement regarding the ad.

Sweeney previously professed her love for a white tee and jeans, but never mentioned American Eagle as a favorite.

“I’m very much a white, plain T-shirt kind of girl. I jump around from a bunch of different brands and that kind of depends on what vibe I want to go for,” she said. “I have my Levi’s white T-shirts and my Cotton On white T-shirts that are just paired with casual jeans. Jean wise: I mean, I love Levi’s, Frame, Agolde,” she said.

Chicago – The Lollapalooza Music Festival in Chicago’s Grant Park is notorious for bringing in artists of all genres and styles from all over the globe. However, there was one genre that had never been represented as a headliner at the festival – until now.

While Lollapalooza is a festival for all sorts of music fans, rock, pop, and hip-hop artists usually dominate the headliner spots. But this year, Luke Combs was able to break that trend.

On Thursday night, Combs made history when he performed on the Bud Light stage at Lollapalooza, becoming the first country headliner in the history of the massive music festival. Combs served as Thursday night’s co-headliner opposite Tyler, the Creator, who nearly missed the performance entirely due to weather-related travel issues.

This was not lost on Combs, who celebrated the news with an announcement to the Chicago crowd, expressing his sincere gratitude and disbelief that he was invited for the historic performance.

“I remember looking over here and thinking, ‘Man, no way’ — [shoot] here we are, baby!” Combs said during his performance on Friday night, amidst a chorus of cheers from the crowd. “I never would have imagined my life would have turned out this way.”

Combs delighted the crowd for over an hour, playing his hit heartfelt ballads. He even brought out another crowd favorite artist, Alex Warren, to perform alongside him.

Warren, who had just finished his own performance on the nearby Tito’s Stage, joined Combs on stage to perform the 24-year-old’s song “Ordinary,” which has been the top song on the Billboard charts for most of the summer. Warren then stayed on the stage to sing Combs’ hit song “She Got the Best of Me” alongside him.

It was a historic night, and a successful performance from one of the biggest and most earnest names in country music.

The NFL world was rocked on Friday when Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker Micah Parsons publicly requested a trade.

Parsons’ decision comes on the heels of a report revealing that his relationship with the Cowboys has “deteriorated” amid contract negotiations that are now stalled.

In the aftermath, NFL Network reporter Jane Slater revealed that the team actually considered trading Parsons two seasons ago after he frustrated teammates with comments on The Edge With Micah Parsons podcast.

“Listen, the Cowboys internally had whispered the idea of trading Micah 2 seasons ago. I was told Jerry was absolutely against it,” Slater reported. 

“Why? Micah would rub teammates the wrong way with the podcast comments at times, saying he was a leader then not showing it at times and as one coach told me ‘nearly every player was in my office telling us we needed to do something about him,'” Slated added.

Slater notes that she thinks Parsons has “turned some of that around in recent months” and wonders if the turnaround from the four-time Pro Bowler is motivated by his contract or is a result of his maturity.

Parsons’ public trade request had some damning statements that do not look good for the Cowboys.

• “I no longer want to be held to closed door negotiations without my agent present.” 

• “I no longer want shots taken at me for getting injured while laying on the line for the organization our fans and my teammates.” 

• “I have made a tough decision. I no longer want to play for the Dallas Cowboys. My trade request has been submitted to Stephen Jones personally.”

For all the doom-and-gloom Cowboys fans out there, just remember that the Cleveland Browns were in a similar boat with their superstar defender, Myles Garrett, who looked certain to be traded after his request.

But the Browns turned around and offered him a boatload of money to change his mind and keep him in Cleveland for the long haul.

Chances are, the Cowboys are not going to trade their best player, who is also one of the very best players in the NFL. We’d expect something to get done between the two sides to keep Parsons in Dallas for years to come.

While news of Micah Parsons’ trade request to the Dallas Cowboys has sent shockwaves across the internet and social media, one man who knows the feeling of this situation all too well is teammate CeeDee Lamb. The Cowboys’ star wide receiver was in Parsons’ position last NFL offseason before finally inking a lucrative contract extension.

Although Lamb didn’t have much to say as his contract situation unfolded last offseason, he’s speaking out in defense of his teammate this time.

While Lamb’s frustration with his contract situation last offseason is now in the rearview mirror, it’s apparent that he’s not a fan of seeing a similar situation play out with Parsons.

Almost immediately after Parsons posted a lengthy message detailing the reasons behind his trade request, Lamb posted on X with a pointed message.

“Never fails dawg. Just pay the man, what you owe em. No need for the extra curricular,” Lamb wrote.

Parsons’ request to be traded comes on the heels of four stellar seasons with the Cowboys, as he made the Pro Bowl each year. He’s been one of the NFL’s top pass-rushers and defensive players since being selected No. 12 overall in the 2021 NFL draft.

As ESPN’s Adam Schefter detailed, Parsons is one of two players in history to record a dozen sacks in each of their first four seasons, with the only other player being Hall-of-Fame pass-rusher Reggie White.

Cowboys Players Reportedly ‘Rallying Around’ Parsons Amid Contract Standoff

While Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has pushed the limits on several recent lucrative contract extensions, including Lamb and quarterback Dak Prescott, it seems the players are squarely standing in Parsons’s corner currently.

As NFL Network’s Jane Slater revealed, Cowboys players are “rallying around” Parsons as the star pass-rusher pushes for a new contract.

“Micah’s personality and fearlessness to speak his mind has been rare as most guys might have said a thing or two but chose largely not to talk. I still believe the deal gets done,” Slater wrote on X.

“Micah has a year left and won’t want to not be on the field and Jerry isn’t gonna wanna let one of his best players just sit nor create a locker room situation as players are currently rallying around Micah. My meter is not moved here. This is Dallas. But it shouldn’t have even gotten to this point.”
