An Idaho sheriff has released a chilling last Instagram photo that shows firefighter shooting suspect Wess Roley wearing camouflage.

Roley, 20, posted the image to his Instagram page right before luring firefighters to an intentionally set brush fire and opening fire, authorities believe.

The photo shows him in camouflage, wearing face paint, and with a photo from a Bjork album on his chest. The picture was set to the song “Hunter,” according to Rolling Stone. Roley’s Instagram page has since been deleted.

Meanwhile, details are emerging about Roley after the deaths of two firefighters and injury of a third on Canfield Mountain in Idaho.

CNN spoke to Roley’s grandfather, Dale Roley, who indicated that Wess Roley had worked for a tree service and was from a family of arborists.

Authorities say they found Roley dead with a firearm after they believe he engaged in sniper fire with firefighters who responded to the blaze.

“He wanted to be a fireman – he was doing tree work and he wanted to be a fireman in the forest,” Dale Roley said to CNN. “As far as I know, he was actually pursuing it.”

According to CNN, Roley had no criminal history and was raised by parents who went through a bitter divorce. However, he was believed to be living in his vehicle at the time of the attack, CNN reported.

“It wasn’t like he was a loner,” Dale Roley told CNN. “We had no reason to suspect that he would be involved in something like this.” He said he was holding out hope that his grandson wasn’t actually the shooter.

Roley ran track in high school in Arizona, according to a sports website.

Authorities have not outlined a motive and did not find a manifesto.

“We do not understand why this happened or how this came about,” a statement released to CNN by Roley’s stepfather Tony Cuchiara’s attorney, read. “Our hearts and spirits are broken for the lost and hurting, and for our own loss as well.”

Aerosmith could reunite for one final show, despite a previous announcement that they had retired from the touring stage. In a June 2025 interview on Eddie Trunk’s Sirius XM show Trunk Nation, Aerosmith legend Joe Perry revealed there have been talks regarding one final Aerosmith show.

“We talk probably a couple of times a week,“ Perry, 74, said of his longtime bandmates, per Blabbermouth.net. “We’re talking about it. I mean, except for anything on the calendar, we’re all alive and well, so we’ll just have to see. … I’m always hoping.”

Perry added that he thinks vocalist Steven Tyler “would” be up for performing a full show. “I think it’s just a matter of getting there, you know?” the guitar legend said. “I mean, we’re up there, man. And it’s a lot.”

“I know there’s gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig, and I’m not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one,” Perry added. “I’ve always played like every show’s the last one. I hate to sound like it’s a downer, but I give it up every night, you know? … I’ve got enough left in me. I still wanna do [a final Aerosmith show]… So, we’ll see what happens.”

More than 50 years after forming Aerosmith, original bandmates Perry, Tyler, Tom Hamilton, Brad Whitford, and Joey Kramer launched their Peace Out: The Farewell Tour in September 2023, but were forced to cancel it three shows in after Tyler damaged his vocal cords. In August 2024, the band delivered the bad news that they would officially stop touring due to Tyler’s ongoing vocal issues.

“Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury,” a post on the band’s official Instagram account announced. “We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision – as a band of brothers – to retire from the touring stage.”

Perry’s interview came days after he was spotted having lunch with Tyler at an eatery in Sarasota, FL. A Facebook post shared by Morton’s Gourmet Market showed the rocker posing with two employees. “Never a dull moment at the market! Steven Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith dropped by for lunch. Awesome guys!” came the caption.

No word on what the two rock stars were talking about during their lunch date, but based on Perry’s new comments, perhaps a reunion show was on the menu.

Over the past few years, the Izmir region of Turkey has become a major tourist hotspot, welcoming millions of foreign travelers every year. However, the government has just issued an urgent warning to anyone in or traveling to the region.

A fire which broke out on the borders of Menderes and Seferihisar districts of Izmir have spread quickly, due to strong winds in the region, as a result, 50,000 people have been forced to evacuate.

Turkey Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan has issued an urgent warning as the wildfires continue to spread.

“I extend my heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to all citizens affected and harmed by the fires. Almost all forest fires are, unfortunately, caused by human activity,” he wrote in a statement via The Mirror.

“While our state is, of course, taking all necessary measures, I want to remind everyone that the most important thing is to prevent fires from starting in the first place. For the next two months, I urge all citizens to exercise the utmost care in protecting our Green Homeland.”

Unfortunately, wildfires are common in the region, and the United Kingdom’s Foreign Office even warned of this possibility before the latest wildfires broke out.

“Wildfires happen frequently in Turkey during summer. You could get a fine or prison sentence for lighting a fire of any kind or discarding cigarettes in risk areas such as woodland,” the statement reads.

“Look out for signs that tell you fires, barbeques, and smoking are prohibited. If there is a wildfire in your area, local authorities may tell you to leave your accommodation. Follow the directions of local authorities. If you see a wildfire, call emergency services on 112.”

Needless to say, if you are among the travelers in the region, now is the time to evacuate. If you were considering traveling to the region in the coming days and weeks, it could be wise to reschedule your trip.

It seems like restaurants are closing on a daily basis around the country, and we can sadly add one more to the list.

According to a post from the restaurant’s Facebook page, Taste of Texas BBQ in McCook, Nebraska, is closing after 23 years in business.

The social media post explains that economic issues are the cause, citing product cost, inflation and the rising minimum wage as the reasons.

“It is with a heavy heart that I am informing the community of McCook that Taste of Texas is closing our doors effective immediately,” the post read. “The last 23 years have been the best. 

“With the rising cost of product, inflation, and the increasing of minimum wage, we are unable to keep the doors open. We have thoroughly enjoyed serving this wonderful community. We are extremely broken hearted.”

Sadly, those reasons are all-too-common in this day and age as restaurants face an uphill climb thanks to rising costs.

Former patrons of the beloved restaurant were heartbroken to hear the news.

“That’s too bad, great food and great people,” one reply to the post said. “Another restaurant out of McCook.”

“This absolutely breaks my heart for our community,” another comment said. “Such an amazing restaurant.”

“Huge loss to McCook,” one former patron said. “So sorry!”

The restaurant first opened in 2002 and was family owned and operated.

Jury deliberations in the Sean “Diddy” Combs’ trial got off to a rocky start, when the jury foreperson informed the judge there was a problem with one juror.

The juror wasn’t following instructions, the foreperson complained, but the judge told jurors to continue trying to reach a verdict in the high-profile case against the music mogul. The jury also sent a note asking a question about assessing the drug charges.

It wasn’t the first issue with jurors, either, and it raises the possibility that the Combs’ case could be experiencing what is known as a “stealth” juror. A “stealth” juror is a person who pretends to be neutral but has biases. Of course, it’s also possible that a juror just didn’t buy the prosecution’s case.

Earlier on, a juror was dismissed after “inconsistencies” emerged about where he lived, BBC reported.

One expert believes a key mistake was made early on.

According to attorney David Seltzer, the jury should have been sequestered.

“I don’t see how people are not influenced by outside factors,” Seltzer said to Fox News. “We live in a technology world where everyone wants their information now. I know the jury was instructed not to read anything, but I don’t think that was realistic given the length of the trial.

He told the network that not sequestering the jury was a mistake.

“I have been saying from day one that it is impossible to tell people to stay off media and/or computers for six weeks-plus, when people are addicted to their devices. I think the court is relying on the admonishment, but respectfully turning a blind eye,” he added.

Criminal defense attorney Paul DerOhannesian told Fox News: 

“Unfortunately, courts are reluctant to utilize one of the few tools historically used to inoculate jurors against external sources of information during a trial or deliberations — sequestration. We did see sequestration of the jury in the Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson trials. Sequestration in a federal trial is virtually non-existent in recent history.”
