As far as stupid and avoidable car accidents go, you might not see one that fits both categories more than this crash which took place in Ohio Wednesday.

Surveillance cameras near exit 109A on I-71 in Ohio captured a shocking and infuriating wreck caused by the incompetence of one driver. In the clip below, which is going viral, you can see it all unfold.

For the first 15 minutes, all is normal. At this point, you can see a red minivan suddenly come to a stop in the middle lane, apparently having missed its exit. 

Incredibly, instead of continuing to drive, or even changing lanes and trying to quickly cut across to get to the exit–dangerous in its own right, but a better alternative to what this driver actually did–the person behind the wheel just stayed put, causing a brief three-car backup.

You can probably surmise what happened next. While the two cars that stopped behind the red minivan were able to avoid a collision, someone behind them was not.

A driver in a silver van rear-ended the last of the three cars, a white van, sending the vehicle careening into the car stopped in front of it. 

The most galling fact of this entire sequence? The fool in the red car who caused this entire accident eventually winds up driving away, taking the correct exit ramp as her or she wanted to in the first place.

We’re hoping that no one suffered any major injuries in this collision. Things definitely could have been much worse.

Also, hopefully the authorities were able to track down the driver of the red minivan and issue some sort of punishment. 

Joe Rogan had some cool news to share on social media on Thursday, May 1.

The longtime podcast host, who runs “The Joe Rogan Experience,” has been sober for about two months. Rogan, who does “Sober October” with his friends, said that he finally realized how much better he feels when he doesn’t drink alcohol.

Rogan joked that his dog, a golden retriever named Marshall, is being a bad influence. But other than that, it’s going well.

“My bestest boy @marshallmaerogan is trying to get me to fall off the wagon. I haven’t had a drink in about 2 months and I feel great. Almost makes me feel dumb for not quitting a long time ago. I do so many things to stay healthy only to sabotage it with booze multiple days a week. Glad my dumb ass figured it out eventually. Marshall, on the other hand wants to get hammered and go to the dog park. #badinfluence,” he wrote.

Later on in the day, Rogan had some more big news to share.

His new podcast episode with Hal Puthoff, a renowned physicist, is out.

The renowned physicist made a big claim, too: aliens are real.

This is far from the first time that Rogan has discussed aliens on his show. He’s been a constant promoter of the idea that we’re not alone in the universe.

Rogan previously asked President Trump if he thought that aliens exist, too.

“There’s no reason not to think that Mars and all these planets don’t have life,” Trump said.

Rogan pushed back on that idea, suggesting that the U.S. has enough technology to find out if life existed on planets like Mars. Scientists have yet to discover any signs of life on the red planet. 

Still, the universe is massive, and Rogan’s latest guest is clearly a promoter of the idea.

Earlier this week and award-winning beer brand made the difficult decision to filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in a strategic restructuring move.

Nebraska Brewing Company announced the decision in a post on Facebook on April 29. “In nearly 18 years, we have never had to make such a difficult statement, but our main goal here is to provide clarity for all of our friends, and frankly, the family that we have been lucky enough to develop over the years,” the company stated.

“Today, we have filed for a strategic restructuring with Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and you deserve to know this from us. That sounds scary, but it doesn’t have to be,” it added. “We have chosen this route because we believe that there absolutely is a path to success and a way for us to continue making your favorite beers and serving our community. Times are uncertain with economic and supply chain issues, but we don’t plan on going anywhere.

The Street offered details in the company’s finances and the decision.

The La Vista, Neb.-based craft brewery filed its Subchapter V petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nebraska on April 28, listing $100,000 to $500,000 in assets and $1 million to $10 million in liabilities.

Nebraska Brewing Co.’s largest creditors include the Small Business Administration, owed $500,000; NBC Investment Corp., owed over $323,000; and its owners, Paul Kavulak and Kim Kavulak, owed $300,000.

Nebraska Brewing Company called for help from its customers to ensure its success moving forward.

“This restructuring effort allows us to continue operations including normal taproom hours and regular distribution,” it added in a statement. “Our amazing bar staff will be behind the bar every day to serve up 16 oz. smiles and as always, we would love to share a pint with you. You will still be able to find your favorite Nebraska Brewing Company beers in your favorite grocery stores and bars – that is not going to change. We would love to see your faces in these difficult times as we deal with this new and less-than-fun chapter.”

Adventure seekers, take note: one of America’s most iconic desert parks, Saguaro National Park, just got a major expansion. This month, nearly 50 acres of pristine desert landscape were officially added to the park, thanks to the Trust for Public Land (TPL)—a conservation group that’s been helping protect land in and around the park since the early ’90s, to a press release from the organization.

“This marks the fourth and fifth additions to the park completed by TPL in the past decade—with TPL helping to protect over 2,300 acres in and around Saguaro National Park since 1993—bringing the park’s footprint to more than 92,000 acres.

If you’ve soaked in Saguaro’s signature desert magic, you might be wondering—what’s new this time? The newly added land sits in the foothills of the Tucson Mountains and connects Saguaro National Park to the beloved Sweetwater Preserve, a go-to spot for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. In short: more trails, better access, and plenty more room for adventure.

“This critical addition to Saguaro National Park enhances trail and habitat connectivity in one of America’s most visited parks and expands access to the stunning Southwestern landscape for all outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy,” Carrie Besnette Hauser, president and CEO of Trust for Public Land, said to National Park Traveler.

But this expansion isn’t just about scoring more trail miles—though with over 190 miles of paths winding through desert peaks and cactus forests, it’s a solid win for outdoor lovers. It’s also a big deal for conservation: the new land helps protect vital Sonoran Desert habitat, where desert tortoises roam, mountain lions prowl, and towering saguaro cacti—some reaching 60 feet and living two centuries—stand tall as living icons of the Southwest.

The land was purchased with help from the Land and Water Conservation Fund, which uses federal offshore oil and gas revenues to protect U.S. natural spaces, and supported by local partners like Pima County and the Southern Arizona Hiking Club.
