Alec Baldwin will be charged with involuntary manslaughter in ‘Rust’ shooting death

Prosecutors in Santa Fe, N.M., have announced involuntary manslaughter charges against Alec Baldwin, related to the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in 2021.

Prosecutors made the announcement as work was set to resume on Rust, the film Baldwin was filming when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins died in a shooting in New Mexico.
