ATLANTA—Touting the product as the easiest way for DIY-ers to seriously injure themselves, Home Depot introduced a new 100-pound bag of mulch Thursday for fucking up your back in the garden section. “Made from all-natural organic materials, our new too-heavy bag of mulch is perfect for absolutely destroying your spine…
Political reporter Tom LoBianco has covered Pence in both Indiana and Washington, D.C. He describes the vice president as a man of faith who is willing to put political ambition ahead of his beliefs.
The Nike Air Force 1 (AF1) is the latest iconic kick to get equipped with weatherproof Gore-Tex, just in time for the holidays.

Converse, another brand owned by the sportswear giant, has released multiple Chuck Taylor All-Stars that incorporate the rugged, trademarked fabric. But for now, just two AF1s baring the Swoosh with Gore-Tex linings are being released.
Nike Air Force 1 Gore-Tex high-top
The first is a white-and-blue high-top with a twist: the upper boasts a zippered bootie that’s both fashionable and functional in bad weather.

The second is a classic, Army green-and-tan low-top with layered ballistic nylon and full-grain leather. Either would serve as a stylishly prudent choice for those who live in an area that gets whacked with snow and slush in the winter.
As for the Nike Air Force 1 Gore-Tex models, a specific release date or price hasn’t been announced. Keep your eyes peeled for a drop in between October and December.
We know that Mark Wahlberg follows a ridiculously strict “regular” daily workout and meal schedule. When he’s preparing for a staring role in a blockbuster, the perennially jacked 48-year-old actor has been known to ramp up the intensity. Such is the case with his latest project: Infinite.
The Antoine Fuqua-directed movie is based a novel titled The Reincarnationist Papers by D. Eric Maikranz and follows “a group of near-immortal men and women who are reincarnated over the centuries and known as the Infinite. To defeat an evil mastermind, the group must rely on a man who suffers from schizophrenia [Wahlberg] who will have to learn that all his vivid dreams are actually memories from past lives, in order to defeat the villain,” according to Slashfilm.
Men’s Journal gathered a bunch of videos posted on Wahlberg’s Instagram page that show a few of the heart-pounding workouts he used to get lean and mean for the silver screen.
In one, Wahlberg knocks out 21 consecutive reps of what look like a variation of the CrossFit-approved “Kipping pull-up.”
Another clip shows Wahlberg chest pressing two 80-pound dumbbells like with relative ease while wearing blood flow-restricting bands, which cause blood to pool up in working muscles and promotes growth, according to Men’s Health.
In another video, Walhberg promotes something called F45, a new training program that he invested in earlier this year.
Men’s Health reports that F45 combines “High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Circuit Training, and Functional Training. This combination of interval, cardiovascular and strength training has been proven to be the most effective workout method for burning fat and building lean muscle.”
Here’s what it looks like:
And here’s a montage of Walhberg on his “day off” from F45, which still consists of stretching, dumbbell chest presses, push-ups and more.
The end result of all this hard work? A seriously shredded physique that defies Wahlberg’s middle age.
If you were even close enough to drinking age to fool someone in the 1980s, there’s an outside chance you tried a Bartles & Jaymes wine cooler. And even if you didn’t, their commercials featuring a pair of cheerful old men playing the brand’s namesakes were inescapable.
Between 1984 to 1991 they churned out dozens of spots pimping their sweet, fruity, relatively low ABV drinks, all of them ending with Frank Bartles—the one who did all the talking—saying, “… And thank you for your support.”
Then in January 1991 the U.S. Congress hiked excise taxes on wine from a reasonable $0.17 to an eye-popping $1.07 per gallon.
That kind of punched the wine cooler market in the gut and drink makers began using malt instead. Bartles & Jaymes didn’t go away, but it did go to ground…till now. The company that owns the brand—E&J Gallo—just this year started paying the big wine tax and blam, wine is back in coolers again and the coolers are now in cans.
If you guessed that the explosion of hard seltzers like White Claw inspired the move, you’re probably right. After all, many details of the new Bartles & Jaymes coolers are similar:
A mild 4% ABV.
They’re relatively low-sugar at just 120 calories.
Hard seltzer style flavor combos abound, including Ginger & Lemon, Cucumber & Lime, and Watermelon & Mint.
There’s something touching about the idea that the children of 80s college students will get to replicate their parents’ experiences, like getting drunk on ten wine coolers and falling asleep under a picnic table in the park.
Though her physical transformation is hardly definitive, the actress’s profound empathy for her subject elevates Judy from a standard celebrity biopic to an unusually fascinating film.

“Reliable.” That’s the keyword for trends this fashion month. After scanning fashion week photos from New York to Milan, we can confirm that the overarching theme for street style footwear trends this season is a return of the classics. Old faithfuls, if you will. The type of shoes that look good, feel good, and work with just about every kind of style. Some of this year’s shoe trends were popular in recent seasons, but there’s one style that we haven’t seen at the top of the fashion charts for quite some years. All of them are shoe styles that we can—and will—actually wear in our everyday lives this fall. Praise be!
The season’s shoe trends are led by two chunky styles, which comes as no surprise after a heavy-soled summer in Tevas. For those who love heels, we’ve seen Bottega Veneta influence two major heel trends, one more classic and one more trend-driven. Of course, there have been a few cult pieces—a few from Prada, plus a dreamy pair of snakeskin Jimmy Choo boots—though fewer than we’ve been accustomed to seeing for the last few years. With investment pieces as the top choice this season, it’s no surprise that many of the shoe and boot trends worn on repeat across fashion month echo the shoe trends we’ve spotted at Zara, as they are not entirely specific to 2019. Keep scrolling to discover the five shoe trends worn on repeat across fashion month and then see how the street style set is wearing them.
A total classic, knee-high boots have taken over street style outfits, and we’re here for it. Though most of us may have continued wearing knee-high boots perennially, they have largely been absent from the fashion forefront in favor of ankle boots until now. First spotted on the Celine F/W 19 runway in a look inspired by 1980s bourgeois Parisian woman, we’ve seen so many different knee-high boots parading outside the shows.
Style Notes: One new thing about the way the street style set has been wearing knee-high boots this season is the way in which they’ve been tucking them into loose-fitting trousers. We love how Lou Lou pairs this look with an oversize waistcoat.
Style Notes: This snake-print pair from Jimmy Choo has been among the most popular so far, paired with dresses and trousers alike.
Style Notes: We’ve also seen them being worn in a very classic way: with jeans and a sweater. Surprisingly odd how this look is novel for influencers.
Style Notes: Emili Sindlev always tries trends out with her own personal twist. We love the color combos of this outfit. Her olive suede boots tie the greens and browns together beautifully.
Style Notes: For a more vintage take, Bettina Looney opts for a wool skirt, oversize blazer, silk scarf, and yellow-hued sunnies to go with her brown knee-highs.
Style Notes: Camille Charrière’s patent Prada boots had fashion editors going wild on her Instagram page. Paired with her business shorts and tweed jacket, her look is very Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets Working Girl.
From Prada (as spotted on Jessie Bush above) to Arket to the classic Dr. Martens, we imagine we’re going to be seeing these boots all season long. Like chunky sandals, these pair so well with the puffy-dress trend we’ve been seeing across fashion month, as they balance out the silhouette.
Style Notes: We love how Erika Boldrin gives an edge to her tennis outfit–inspired look with her Dr. Martens–esque pair.
Style Notes: While they do look so good with dresses of any kind, we’ve also seen them paired with shorts and a jacket.
Style Notes: As an updated grunge-inspired look, Charlotte Groeneveld wears her chunky Chelsea boots with a plaid skirt suit.
Style Notes: If you want to commit fully to the utility/workwear-inspired look, try your boots with an oversize anorak like Tiffany Hsu.
We can absolutely attribute this shoe trend to Bottega Veneta, who took this trend and turned it into a phenomenon this summer with its now sold-out mesh-and-chain heels.
Style Notes: We’ve been increasingly spotted barely there shoes, and these mesh heels offer and fresh version. We love how Erika has styled her cardi and khaki trousers with her mesh heels.
Style Notes: Who What Wear’seditor in chief, Kat Collings, donned a pair of Neous mesh heels with her Jacquemus dress and claimed via Instagram that after walking all day at NYFW, they were still comfortable.
Style Notes: Deborah Reyner Sebag’s nude mesh heels are nearly invisible, which works with her statement-piece leather jumpsuit.
Open-toe mules—aka Carrie Bradshaw shoes—have been a favorite for a few seasons, but it’s great to see them still going strong. Doina Ciobanu opts for a bright blue pair to match her bag and contrast her pink ensemble.
Style Notes: Bottega Veneta (honestly if I had a dollar for every time I’ve written that during fashion month) brought out a quilted pair that were quickly adopted as favorites among influencers.
Style Notes: Of course, the Bottega Veneta ones weren’t the only pair spotted on the streets of fashion’s capitals. These Prada silk mules were another favorite among influencers in Milan.
Style Notes: We’ve seen so many blue pairs of open-toe mules this season (also spotted in Zara), but we love how designer Gilda Ambrosio goes from a head-to-toe look with this hue.
Style Notes: Pairing this brown Boyy pair with a jumpsuit is a good, simple two-step outfit idea for minimalists to try this season.
Style Notes: Matching her white open-toe mules to her sunglasses creates a frame-like effect for this showgoer’s all-pink outfit.
Tamu McPherson’s Prada shoes were spotted all over Milan Fashion Week, but the shoe style more generally is one of the top shoe trends of 2019. For those who love flat shoes, these simply work with any outfit, so it’s no wonder they are becoming wildly popular.
Style Notes: This showgoer proves that business professional can still be fashion. Just make sure you’ve swapped your kitten heels for chunky brogues when donning a pencil skirt and button-down top.
Style Notes: Though these might seem like a trend that minimalists will prefer, the shoes were spotted as part of some very loud outfits too.
Style Notes: We love how the Blustein twins styled their chunky brogues with pale slip dresses and floral shirts layered underneath.

Even after 14 seasons, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia continues to be funny, innovative, and deeply offensive. How does a show so politically incorrect survive for so long?
