Sophie Turner’s Wedding Dress Is As Incredible As We Wanted It to Be
After a good few days of speculation, including all the outfits in the run up to the event, we’ve finally been given a glimpse of Sophie Turner’s wedding dress. Unsurprisingly, the bridal gown was designed by Louis Vuitton’s creative director Nicholas Ghesquière, who also dressed the actress for the Met Gala and many high profile moments before that. The designer revealed on Instagram early this morning that he was behind Turner’s wedding dress with a picture of the full look.
The floor-length dress was a classic ball gown skirt, with a band around the waist and fitted lace sleeves. While it’s definitely a more demure kind of design, the low neckline and open back made this the perfect style for a modern bride. Under the lace sleeves was a white bodice with cap sleeves—perhaps designed so the sleeves could be taken off and the dress transformed into the evening look? We may have to wait a while to discover if that’s the case.
Turner married husband Joe Jonas in France for their second wedding after a surprise Vegas white chapel ceremony in May where only a handful of the couple’s friends attended, including DJ Diplo who live-streamed the event.
Before their big day, Turner and Jonas spent the past week in Paris with a small group of friends and family enjoying pre-wedding celebrations all over the City of Lights before heading into the countryside.
Lucky for us, we got to see Turner’s Parisian summer ensembles, alongside some stellar looks from her sister-in-law, Priyanka Chopra. As for the outfits the night before the wedding, an Avignon restaurant called La Mirande played host to her guests, who all looked ultra-glam in a series of all-white getups. We were particularly enamoured with Ashley Graham’s sassy beaded slip dress, while Sophie herself is rumoured to have worn red—chic.

Dior Dresses and Fancy Headbands: Inside Archie’s Royal Christening
It’s the moment we’ve been all been waiting for: The official pics from Archie’s royal Christening are here, and they’re even cuter than we could’ve imagined. After keeping the details of the event largely secret, the world has waited in anticipation to see a second sighting of the young royal whose Christening was held at the private chapel in Windsor Castle. Let’s just say, they don’t disappoint.

Attended by only 25 guests, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released two photos from the day. One shows the entire family, including Archie’s grandparents on both sides, along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princess Diana‘s sisters Lady Jane Fellowes and Lady Sarah McCorquodale. The other is a more intimate snapshot of the couple and Archie together in the Rose Garden at Windsor Castle. Excuse us while we weep a little.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son.” Reads the Instagram post released today. “They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment. Their Royal Highnesses feel fortunate to have enjoyed this day with family and the godparents of Archie.”

Meghan wore a simple white Dior gown with quarter length sleeves for the occasion, which she styled with a white hat and nude heels. She also opted for her slicked-back, low bun and subtle makeup beauty look of choice. Kate Middleton, meanwhile rocked a pink (very SS19) Stella McCartney dress and, in keeping with her own Christening look, a statement headband in bright red. We also have to give a shoutout to Doria Ragland who, as always, looked supremely elegant in a peach-coloured coat, dress and matching head wrap.
