After recently scrolling through Instagram in search of new outfit inspiration, it became clear that there’s one common theme in regards to the denim du jour amongst fashion girls. Yes, of course there’s the popular straight-fit jeans in blue and black washes that we’ve discussed at great length, but white jeans in general seem to be a hit as well this season.

Now, white denim is certainly not a new trend—we’ve seen the trend crop up year after year (especially in summer)—but with the style elite foregoing age-old style tropes lately like “not wearing white after Labor Day,” it’s evident that white jeans are in it for the long haul (no matter the time of year). And in reality, it makes perfect sense. The ideal pair feels fresh during the colder months either paired with monochromatic hues or with vibrant colors for contrast.
