Cool Printed Turtleneck Outfits to Re-Create ASAP
While turtlenecks can certainly be worn year-round, they typically get the most mileage during the fall and winter season. The extra neck coverage is essential once temperatures drop, so it’s no surprise we’ve started seeing this piece appear in the autumn ensembles of some of our go-to fashion girls. Among the most popular we’ve spotted as of late? Printed turtlenecks (think a wild animal print or classic stripes) because although a classic, clean pick can be paired with everything, there’s something about a patterned one that just feels so current.
Don’t think that you can’t pair a printed turtleneck with everything in your wardrobe, either, because you certainly can. Mixing and matching patterns is a trend that will never get old, so get creative and pair a striped top with a checkered skirt (an example of which you’ll find below). Or, go a safe route and team one of this season’s hottest and wildest prints (ahem, snakeskin) with uncomplicated black pants.
Ahead, we’ve rounded up the best of the best in terms of printed turtleneck outfits to copy. So read on to see the looks and then shop our favorite patterned pieces to buy now and wear all season long.

Emma Roberts Wore the “Boring” Shoe Trend That’s Quietly Been Gaining Ground
Sorry if this offends you, but for the longest time, I considered loafers a “boring” shoe style. I have nothing against them but never really thought of them as cool or current. Now, though, that the classic shoes are having a bit of a renaissance this season, and in seeing how Emma Roberts recently styled her pair, I may be sold on them for good. The American Horror Story actress stepped out in Los Angeles recently wearing a pair of heeled loafers in such a chic, polished ensemble that it left me searching for a pair of my own.
Roberts opted for a block-heel pair from Freda Saldavor and styled the style in a very ’70s retro-cool way: alongside a denim button-front miniskirt, brown knit tee, and cat-eye sunglasses. She seems to favor the classic shoe style, as evidenced by a recent outfit involving a fun leopard-print pair that we quickly dubbed the It flats of fall 2018. To see how Roberts styled her loafers and then shop her whole look—along with some similar shoe styles from Freda Salvador—keep reading.
