Xbox Series X still set to launch on schedule, but games could be delayed
Microsoft’s Xbox chief, Phil Spencer, says the company’s next-gen Xbox Series X console is still on schedule for later this year, but game production is a little more of an unknown. In an interview with CNBC, Spencer notes that there could be “some impact” to Xbox Series X schedules, but that “the teams are doing a very good job with keeping our hardware on track” and “overall we’re in line with where we thought we would be.”
Microsoft hasn’t provided an exact release date for the Xbox Series X beyond holiday 2020. Son of Cobra x Clae Drops Marble-Inspired Sneaker Collab
Los Angeles-based footwear label Clae and designer surfboard maker Son of Cobra have joined forces to drop a marble-inspired, limited-edition sneaker.
Clae contributed its new Malone silhouette, which is described as a “refinement of classic court intentions.” The kick boasts clean minimalist lines, an Italian leather upper, a cushioned heel counter for support, a “Premium Court” sole, a nubuck leather heel accent, and flat waxed cotton laces.
The marbleized black and white digital print that covers the entire upper is an exclusive pattern devised by Son of Cobra, aka Paul Lefevre. The shoes are part of a larger Clae x Son of Cobra collection that includes two retro fish surfboards decorated with the same pattern—one in black, one in white.
The flashy collab doubles as a showcase for Son of Cobra’s latest auto-inspired art project. He transplanted a lightweight 2002 BMW body—painted with the aforementioned pattern—on to a 1969 BMW chassis. He then then upgraded the four-cylinder with engine components from a modern M3 to up the horsepower.
While the Bavarian custom car isn’t for sale, you can cop up one of just 300 pairs of Clae x Son of Cobra Malone sneakers for $160 on Clae’s website. One of the 20 boards being produced is also available for $945.
