There’s no doubt my sweats, leggings, and slippers are getting a lot of action at home these days due to the current circumstances, but there’s one item I’ve been luxuriating in more than ever before: my cozy bathrobe.

I’ve always been a fan of a plush bathrobe, even before quarantine. I like to slip on before and after I take a bath and it’s been my go-to to throw on as an extra layer of warmth when I pick up my toddler from his crib in the morning. I also wear one when I have breakfast on my little balcony, get ready for the day (when that was a regular occurrence), and when I spend a low-key night watching Netflix. So there’s no question that for the last six weeks staying at home, it has served as my comfy companion through these uncertain times.

I’m particularly fond of robes that make you feel a little extra “special”—particularly ones made of opulent and plush fabrics such as silk or soft pima cotton or robes featuring playful prints and vintage-inspired silhouettes. It’s the little things that spark joy, and bathrobes have an uncanny way of lifting our spirits even on the most exhausting days.
