These 1993 Jeans Just Came Back From the Dead

What goes around comes around, and thankfully that includes the best of ’90s fashion. In honor of its 25th anniversary, Swedish brand Filippa K is reintroducing its iconic 1993 jeans that “became an instant hit in Sweden,” per the label. Of course, the 2018 versions are a bit updated and designed to be extra comfortable and flattering. Mark our words: It’s only a matter of time before all the cool Scandi girls will be wearing these jeans.

“What I can add to the world of jeans is a feminine perspective; the denim industry is driven mainly by men,” founder Filippa Knutsson said in a statement. “I wanted to make jeans that are friendly to women, and the collection is a representation of why we started Filippa K in the beginning: the philosophy of simplifying people’s everyday lives by making the choice of ‘how to dress’ or ‘what to wear’ less complicated.” Scroll down to shop the revamped ’90s denim collection.

Silver: Rule changes boosting offense as intended

The 5 Perfect Pillars of Carrie Bradshaw’s Winter Capsule Wardrobe

In all honesty, Iā€™ve never been of a Sex and the City fan (yes, I know itā€™s not the most popular of opinions), but as anyone who works in fashion knows, Carrie Bradshaw was (nay, is) a major style force. From her eclectic sartorial choices to her undeniable great taste in footwear, she will always be an icon, whether youā€™ve watched the show or not. With designers and street stylers referencing the ā€™90s and noughties for fall/winter 2018, Carrieā€™s wardrobe appears to be relevant once again.

Winter has now arrived, and Carrieā€™s closet can provide some fun inspiration during the coldest, darkest months. Most praised SATC outfits might feel more summer-in-the-city than freeze-friendly, but she did live in New York City, and that can get pretty glacial (even when youā€™re fabulous and more a taxi-shoe kind of girl). We tracked down her best knitwear, long coats, and cozy boot moments to ever be featured on the show. Keep scrolling down for the best Carrie Bradshawā€“worthy capsule winter wardrobe.

Style Notes: Whether worn with a party dress or, um, pjā€™s, Carrie has no shortage of uses for a fabulous faux-fur coat. This season provides many similar iterations on the high street as well as in designer echelons.
Style Notes: Remember when cowlnecks where kind of everything, pastel knits were the ultimate thing to wear with jeans, and mini jumper dresses were great for parties? Well, that concept has come full circle, so Carrieā€™s cozy jumpers are back in town.
Style Notes: Although Carrie is more likely to wear color during the winter, she also knows the power of a pair of perfect black knee-high (or over-the-knee) boots. These are most ferociously worn with a black tailored coat and a strut.
Style Notes: In the summer, Carrie wears florals, but in the winter, itā€™s all about checks, plaids,Ā and tartans. Even a simple tartan scarf will add the right kind of kook to her cold-weather ensembles.
Style Notes: The fancier the skirt, the more likely Carrie is to wear it in the day (or night). She certainly doesnā€™t let the temperature stop her either, so dig out your party skirts and get to wearing them.

7 Color Pairings That Make Red Look Incredible

The color red is one of the boldest and most exciting shades that one can wear, which explains its unwavering popularity. Some would even consider it a neutral. (Two fun facts: Red also means beautiful in Russian, and seeing the color can make your heart beat faster.) But given how bold it is, figuring out the colors that go with red can be somewhat of a head-scratcher.

While black and white are safe, obvious pairings with the ruby hue, we’re partial to the less obvious choices. To get a visual on the most successful color combinations, we turned to the style of the streets, which are full of gorgeous red looks season after season, and found seven (of many) successful looks featuring red as either the primary color or the accent color. Either way, you’ll get a clear picture of which hues work the best with red when you see how these stylish women wear the vibrant shade. So step away from the black and white (at least every once in a while), and check outā€”and shopā€”our picks below.

Perhaps the most surprising of pairings, mustard yellow and red are two warm hues that look very cool together.
Pink and red is a fashion-girl favorite. Given that they’re in the same color family, it’s hard to go wrong with any shade of pink.
When it comes to metallics, silver trumps them all. Its icy hue makes red look even more vibrant.
If you’re looking for a neutral alternative to the usual black or white, reach for camel. It looks expensive and is a tad more unexpected.
As you can see via Leandra Medine, this patriotic pairing never fails to look crisp.
You’d think these two colors would clash, but the proof is in the pudding. These contrasting colors look cool and fresh together.
Similar to silver, cool-toned gray makes red pop. Tip: It’s a no-fail color combination for the office.
Imagine all the things there are to wear with this.
Cardigans are back, and we love it.
This bag is a classic at this point.
The perfect date-night top.
There’s always room for another hoodie.
Hello, new airport pants.
This cool-girl brand just keeps getting better.
So many trends in one pair of shoes.

15 Things I Really Want From the H&M x Moschino Collection

There aren’t many fashion moments that capture my imagination. I don’t spend a second of my summer wondering what the Paris shows or Met Gala red carpet have in store, and I hold the highly controversial position of not caring in the slightest about royal wedding dresses. Throughout the year, however, I do occasionally find myself lying in savasana predicting the next H&M designer collaborationā€”and this year, as we all get hyped up about #H&MOSCHINO, the most importantĀ thing I would like you all to know that I called it. (Actually,Ā the most important thing to know isĀ that’s it’s available in selectĀ H&M stores andĀ hm.com from 8amĀ on November 8, butĀ bear with me.)

My reasoning for (correctly) guessing Moschino was flawless: Off the back of that beautiful yet subdued team-up with Erdem in 2017, which was juxtaposed with the super-bold collab with Kenzo in 2016 (aka the most damn fun I’ve ever had attending a fashion show), H&M felt primed and ready for the pendulum to swing hard back toward the slightly outrageous. AndĀ ifĀ I know anything about Jeremy Scott,Ā I know that the serial collaborator isĀ forever in need of somewhere to direct all that bodacious energy.

You know how sometimes your outfit just feels like it needs an evening bag shaped like a condom wrapper? Jeremy Scott gets that.
Instant collector’s item.Ā
If you were thinking to yourself, I bet Bella Hadid wore that on the runway, you’d be absolutely correct.Ā
Nineties-vibe statement chokers go with everythingā€¦
ā€¦including (nay,Ā especially) with tops embroidered with layers of gold chains.
Don’t mind me, I’ll just be over here channeling my inner ’90s supermodel.
Fall 2018 calls for low-key, practical footwearā€”and also these boots.
FYI, the correct way to style everything is with as much gold jewelry as your spine can handle.
Important: This is a skirt.
Would also like to know where Goofy got his peace-sign hoodie.Ā
If you own one piece from the collection, let it be this padlock handbag.
I promise this jacket goes with everything.
As above.Ā
Logomania means never letting anyone wonder who made your beach towel ever again.
Can confirm, baseball uniformā€“inspired pieces are definitely a thing for next season.
