12 Pieces I’m Buying to Upgrade My Personal Style This Season

I love the look of houndstooth blazers versus plaid or checkered, and this hourglass cut from & Other Stories adds a touch of femininity to an otherwise masculine piece.
I’m currently searching for a wallet-friendlier version of this, but I absolutely love the collared trucker-style take on the leather jacket for this fall and winter.
What’s a fall/winter 2018 trend roundup without some animal print? I saw one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Lucy Williams, wearing this Rixo London dress and fell in love with it. Despite the spaghetti straps, it’s actually pretty versatile—I would wear it on its own, layered over a black turtleneck, or layered underneath a baggy sweater.
I’ve been in desperate need of a nicer (but still affordable) black wallet, and I love that The Daily Edited allows you to personalize each piece.
I’ve been searching for the perfect pair of plaid pants since last winter, and I think I’ve finally found them. I love the kick-flare style of these as well as the on-trend black-and-brown color combination.
Every new season calls for a new going-out top. The clustered dots give this slightly sheer top a subtle animal-print look, while the high neck and long sleeves will keep you somewhat warm.
Is this a practical buy for fall and winter? No. Do I need it anyway? Yes. This Australian brand has officially mastered the slip dress, and I want it in every color.
I’m really into both the croc-embossed trend and the mini handbag trend for fall/winter 2018. This purse combines the two.
I love the Kurt Cobain–esque ’90s vibe of this V-neck evergreen sweater. It has a slight thrift-store feel to it. I’d layer it over a white high-neck long-sleeve T-shirt.
This is a winter staple that won’t go out of style—it’s office- and weekend-appropriate and will complement both a tight-fitting top or a baggy sweater.
I love all of Paloma Wool’s unique, abstract prints this season. I’m especially into the very on-trend rust color of this sweater—it would go perfectly with a pair of vintage Levi jeans. For more fashion trend roundups, shop the 20 fall dresses our editors love next.

A Sold-Out Coat Led Me to Rediscover This Classic High-Street Store Again

It might not be the first place you think of when planning your new-season shopping trip (well, for us, it wasn’t), but over the last few weeks, River Island has been consistently cropping up on our fashion radar. Whether it’s the vinyl trench coat that everyone’s talking about (sadly, it’s sold out) or its expensive-looking autumnal staples, this high-street store is really knocking it out of the park at the moment.

With temperatures dropping by the day, there’s no better time to stock up on your cold-weather essentials, so we’ve created an edit of our favorite River Island new-season pieces. At the top of our list is the brand’s pink bobble-sleeved knit, a black leather shirt, and its plentiful offering of statement coats (from checks to on-trend lilac). Its official: We’ve got a new high-street shopping crush.

Style Notes: Pink and white make for a fresh take on autumnal style. We love the addition of River Island’s embellished mules.
Style Notes: Everyone’s been obsessed with River Island’s vinyl coat this season. Naomi Ross styles hers over an on-trend snake-print dress.
Style Notes: Hannah Gale offers the perfect autumn weekend outfit with straight-leg jeans and a statement coat.
This statement check dress will flatter all body shapes.
A leather jacket is your one-stop shop for chic layering.
Teddy coats are still cool this season. Wear with dark denim and heeled boots.
Add a retro spin to your autumn look with this graphic knit.
Checked trousers are a timeless trend that will look relevant season after season.
Statement sleeves are everywhere right now.
These will elevate any autumn party look.
If in doubt, go for checked tailoring this season.
A classic cosy staple if we ever saw one.
Color lovers, this is one for you.
Zebra print is this season’s animal print to note.

Yep, Fall’s Biggest Trend Is Coming for Your Leggings

The leopard trend: How do we love thee? Let us count the ways: We love thee on best-selling dresses, runway coats, and Rihanna-approved lingerie. But you might not have thought to incorporate the trend into your activewear wardrobe—until now. Bandier’s new collaboration with Veronica Beard features leopard on impossibly cool leggings, sweatpants, and hoodies you’ll probably want to try ASAP.

“Our mission is to offer women wardrobe solutions that empower them to conquer the many pursuits in their daily lives,” co-designer Veronica Swanson Beard said in a statement. “Whether women are wearing this collection to workout, travel, or run errands, we want them to look and feel good.” Scroll down to shop the new collection and peek Bandier’s new shop-in-shop at Fred Segal Sunset if you’re in L.A. 7 Ready-Made Influencer Party Outfits to Copy This Year

It might have something to do with the recent drop in temperature or the fact that we’re officially a month away from December (terrifying), but suddenly we’re feeling incredibly excited about the impending festive season. Over the last few weeks, we’ve scoured the high street to find the best affordable dresses, unpacked those tricky dress codes and addressed your work party dilemmas to make sure you have everything you need for a stress-free shopping experience.

If you’re at a loss for where to begin, we’d recommend a good dose of sartorial inspiration, and who better to deliver this than our favorite fashion influencers? No strangers to a good party look, this stylish bunch have glamour in droves, yet each individual brings something different to the table. From feather-trimmed suits and patent trousers to gilded gowns and leopard-print minis, we’ve got all the bases covered. Scroll down to discover seven ready-made influencer party outfits to copy this November.

Style Notes: Everyone loves a good nice top–and-jeans outfit; however, this look takes it to the next level with Saint Laurent’s high-shine patent trousers and Hillier Bartley’s asymmetric scarf-detail blouse.
Style Notes: Want an easy way to stand out from the crowd? Forgo a party dress and instead opt for a suit with a dramatic feather trim.
Style Notes: Long-sleeve midis still have plenty of mileage in the party dressing stakes this season. For a dance floor–ready ensemble, accessorize a rust-colored gown with snakeskin boots and statement specs.
Style Notes: Subvert a gilded midi dress with an oversize blazer and stompy boots. Very Killing Eve (in a good way).
Style Notes: A luxe twist on the classic lounge suit comes courtesy of Topshop’s forest-green two-piece. Accessorize with a pair of statement earrings and heeled sandals.
Style Notes: Nineties slip dresses are everywhere this season, and they’re coming in a range of finishes and colorways. This outfit is proof that the trend will look just as cool with “dad” trainers as it will with spangled stilettos.
Style Notes: Translate summer’s animal-print trend for the Christmas party season with this thigh-grazing leopard-print mini from FWRD. We love how Evangelie Smyrniotaki has styled her dress with sheer tights and chandelier earrings.

The $10 Earrings I Keep Getting Compliments On

As we recently pointed out in our spring trend report and coverage of chandelier dressing, crystals are one of the biggest trends in fashion and on Instagram right now. We’ve seen the dazzling detail in all forms from fringe jewelry and accessories like chain belts to clothing à la all of Christopher Kane’s collection and Amina Muaddi’s new footwear line. The trend isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, and I’m totally okay with that. Not only does the detail lend and sparkly touch to any outfit, but it also makes for an easy way to embrace a holiday-ready look. Today I’m sharing how I hopped on the crystal bandwagon for under $10, thanks to Forever 21’s super-affordable jewelry selection.

Although I once challenged myself to wear head-to-toe Forever 21 for a week straight, I’ll admit I had never shopped the fast-fashion site’s jewelry selection before. That all changed when I saw the below earrings in F21’s new-arrivals section and immediately purchased both styles. While it’s not uncommon for jewelry to look super cheesy from “cheap” sites, that’s not the case for these glitzy earrings. Since the look of the earrings already lends a costumey vibe with the oversize rhinestones and statement charms, these details actually make it easier for them to look more expensive. I’ve worn them several times and people are always shocked when I reveal that they are from Forever 21. The under-$10 sparklers are definitely some of the best finds in the site’s 39 pages’ worth of accessories. Shop the inexpensive but very on-trend earrings below.

These are the ones I purchased, and I’m so happy with them.
Might have to buy these next.
