Apple Abandons the Mass Market, as the iPhone Turns Luxury
This Winter Trend Is “Seeing Massive Crowd Appeal”
You can do one of two things this winter: Suffer through it while daydreaming about the return of beach days, or embrace it in the form of proper outerwear. While both are tempting, we’re going with the latter. And just in time for winter, Pinterest just revealed that one cozy trend in particular is “seeing massive crowd appeal.” The trend is teddy bear jackets, and by massive, Pinterest is talking 1036% growth in searches year over year.
You can technically call teddy bear jackets a few different things—sherpa jackets, faux fur jackets, and fuzzy jackets, to name a few… In any case, the appeal is undeniable, and we don’t doubt that it has something to do with the trend’s popularity. To get you prepped for the blustery days ahead, we searched across the internet and chose the best teddy bear jackets on the market. Investing in one of the below options should definitely take an edge off the impending chill.
Next up, the winter skinny-jean trend to tell all your friends about.
1,000-HP Dodge ‘Hellephant’ V8 Turns Classic Cars Into Modern Monsters
Dodge and Mopar are bringing hypercar-levels of horsepower to classic American muscle with their 1,000-hp “Hellephant” V8.
The new engine, revealed at the 2018 SEMA show in Las Vegas, is a 426 Supercharged Crate Hemi that uses parts from the 800-hp power plant in the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.
The name itself is a tribute to the legendary 426 Hemi engine, first introduced in 1964 and nicknamed the “elephant” for its power and size.
Motor 1 has further details:
As its name suggests, the Hellephant engine borrows most of its bones from the Dodge Hellcat motor.
It’s larger, with a cylinder bore of 4.0 inches and a stroke of 4.125 inches, and lighter thanks to its aluminum construction instead of the standard Hellcat’s iron block
The “Hellephant” was specifically designed for vehicles built prior to 1976. Mopar showcased its creation in a 1968 Dodge “Super Charger” Concept updated with a six-speed manual transmission, Hellcat wheels, a “De Grigio” grey metallic paint coat and a modern interior.
“Our enthusiasts crave power and performance, and our new ‘Hellephant’ Mopar Crate HEMI engine and kit deliver huge horsepower and torque in a plug-and-play package that is unique in the industry,” said Steve Beahm, Head of Parts & Service (Mopar) and Passenger Car Brands.
“The 1968 Dodge Charger is one of the hottest classic cars, which is why we decided to use it as a starting point for the ‘Super Charger’ Concept. It’s an amazing vehicle and a great showcase for our ‘Hellephant’ engine.”
Reports indicate that you can expect to spend upwards of $20,000 on the “Hellephant” when it drops next year. Take a closer look at its vessel, the Charger restomod, in the gallery above.

Can Leopard Pants Be the Blue Jeans of Fall?
Almost exactly one year ago, I distinctly remember screenshotting this photo of Suki Waterhouse, telling myself that maybe one day I’d be bold enough to try and copy her look. (If you’re too lazy to click on that link, she’s wearing a lilac sweater with leopard pants and Maryam Nassir Zadeh heels.) Fast-forward to today, at which point the color lilac has basically been dubbed a neutral, and I’m the proud owner of not one, not two, but three pairs of leopard-print pants, and have genuinely considered at times purchasing a fourth—specifically, these.
Could it be that leopard pants have become almost as mainstream as blue jeans? As a denim junkie myself, I don’t say that lightly, but my honest instinct is yes. After all, putting aside my personal feelings about the trend, you really can’t argue that a well-fitted pair can not only stand up to statement items like the above bubblegum pink sweater but fit in seamlessly with all our favorite basics. In the fashion world, these days any animal print seems to be serving the function of a neutral, especially leopard.
Of course, you don’t just have to take my word for it either. Simply see what’s out there. There’s a reason every brand and retailer worth paying attention to is selling them, don’t you think? On that note, to shop my 20 favorite leopard pants of the moment—yes, even narrowing it down to that many was hard—simply continue on below.
9 “Weird” Brands I Obsess Over at Nordstrom
Nordstrom is one of those tried-and-true retailers everyone from your grandmother to your brother loves. While the familiarity of the store is nice and all, it can often blind you from the forward-thinking changes the retailer is churning out on a regular basis, particularly when it comes to stocking up-and-coming brands. While I personally love to head to Nordstrom for more classic brands, there are actually quite a few “weirder” fashion brands that I obsess over on the regular.
Below, I rounded up some of my favorite “weird” fashion brands hiding at Nordstrom. If you’ve ever heard of Nordstrom’s section for emerging designers, Space, you might be familiar with the some of these names, but if not, you’re in for a wild ride. Get ready for some of the most fun shopping trip you’ve had in a while, courtesy of all the Nordstrom brands I love.
Instant Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup
The BEST soup made SO EASILY right in your pressure cooker with the crispiest tortilla strips! So good + so comforting!
Chunky sweaters. Homemade tortilla soup. Crispy tortilla strips.
Ugh. Life is good. Too good.
That, and, well, we’re headed to Las Vegas to see Backstreet Boys!
Backstreet’s back, alright!
This was my favorite childhood band ever, and growing up as a very sheltered child, I never went to a single concert of theirs. So don’t mind me while I scream out my lungs at Planet Hollywood tonight.
Until then, I hope you guys find the chunkiest sweater for this soup. It’s so perfect – it’s made in the Instant Pot (which basically means this is the easiest recipe ever), and the chicken is so amazingly tender, it just melts in your mouth.
So grab a spoon and all the crispy tortilla strips you can find.
