The Influencer We Actually Do Check Every Day for New Outfit Ideas

Instantly recognizable by her bleach blonde hair, super-influencer Jessie Bush’s fashion career has taken many a fascinating turn since she first set up her street style blog back in 2011. She now documents everything from city guides to beauty, and the Bush brand has definitely expanded over the last seven years, but great outfits are still at the heart of what keeps her 349,000 Instagram followers coming back for more.

Never one to be confined to a single fashion archetype, New Zealander Jessie has a chameleon-like ability to seamlessly shift her style: One day it’s a pared-back androgynous suit and the next a frivolous ruffled gown. She possesses a bit of London eclecticism, a dash of Milanese glamour and a good dose of Scandi cool. Oh, and she lives in Barcelona. You just can’t pin that girl down.

Perhaps it’s this versatility that has made us gravitate towards Jessie when looking for style inspiration—you can always count on her to bring something new to every Instagram post, even if she’s wearing the same items on repeat (which is also a quality we appreciate). As her autumnal fashion game has been so damn strong, we decided to create an edit of the four recent outfits that reflect the many faces of this style maven. From color and print to dreamy party dresses, scroll down to see and shop our favorite Jessie Bush looks.

Style Notes: Jessie is the queen of cool staples. A beige knit, checked coat and frayed hem jeans is a look anyone can emulate this fall.
Style Notes: We’re forever looking to Jessie for tips on how to make a pop of color fit seamlessly into our wardrobes. Case in point? This Emilio Pucci ribbed top that’s just what Zimmermann’s zebra-print skirt needs to stand out.
Style Notes: In this birthday party get-up, Jessie champions up-and-coming brand Olivia Rubin, wearing one of the brand’s famed sequinned dresses. Take note for Christmas.
Style Notes: We love how the blogger sticks to just two colors to create this casual yet pulled-together look. Also, the sweater-plus-denim-skirt formula is perfect for tricky trans-seasonal temperatures.
Style Notes: If in doubt, stick to a suit. This Paul Smith two-piece comes in a super-flattering shade of forest green and looks lovely with a beige base-layer, gold jewelry, and sneakers.

The New Splendid x Margherita Collab Is Here—Shop Our Picks

We’ve always admired Margherita Missoni for her fearless Italian-girl style (if you’re not following her on Instagram at @mmmargherita, you’re missing out on some seriously fun outfit inspo). Bright colors, playful patterns, statement accessories? She’s game for all of it and clearly prefers dressing on the bolder side of the fashion spectrum.

When we heard she’d be teaming up with Splendid for another collab—this one dropping just in time for the holidays—we instantly began dreaming of festive apparel. What we got IRL? The perfect blend of the comfy, casual pieces we know and love from Splendid, plus Missoni’s unique color-infused flair. We should probably also mention that the collection is super affordable, starting at only $59. We were fortunate to chat with the designer herself about her inspiration for the line, as well as the one item she says is a must-have for the holidays.

I’m so Happy This Comfortable Trend Is Still Going to Be Cool in 2019

There are a few things I feel extremely comfortable in aside from a blanket. However, a boilersuit comes pretty close. Loose-fitting but flattering, casual but chic with heels and easy to layer throughout the year, this pedigree breed of an all-in-one is a true wonder.

I have a couple of age-old boilersuits lurking in my closet because they’re the kind of throw-on piece that comes back around in fashion every couple of years. Some styling moves may change, like the fact that so many people have worn theirs this summer with “ugly” sandals and belt bags, but essentially, the same item will see you through each and every return. Hint: This season, fashion girls are wearing theirs with roll-necks.

In 2018, the boiler suit comeback was kickstarted by the most unlikely version: a pink button-down, super-baggy Ganni jumpsuit. It became a constant presence on the stylish streets of Scandinavian Fashion Week and then filtered through to Instagram. The trend has also inspired sellout pink all-in-ones from ASOS and Urban Outfitters. It was proof that such a traditionally “masculine” and industrial item could be rebelliously fashionable. Next came Topshop’s top-stitched denim boiler suit: More fitted and significantly more retro than it’s power-pink siblings, this sold out in mere moments. Since these two big retail hits, we’ve been on a non-stop boiler suit mission, confident that it will translate so well into next year. Keep scrolling to see what we’ve found…

Style Notes: You can really add personality to a boiler suit with little additions like Ada’s boots or leopard top.
Style Notes: When in doubt, stick to a family of blue tones to look elegant.
Style Notes: Make like the influencer set and add a belt bag and chunky sandals.
Style Notes: If only Joy’s Topshop jumpsuit was still available…
Style Notes: Utilitarian overalls come in this season’s favourite denim alternative: cord.
Style Notes: When Jeanette Madsen wore Ganni’s pink overalls, we all took an interest.
Style Notes: ASOS haven’t been missing out on the action, either. They’ve released multiple versions of pink all-in-ones on its site over the past few months.
Style Notes: The coolest way to wear a bright-pink onesie is definitely with casual styling.
Style Notes: This Joie jumpsuit is such a pale pink that it basically looks white. The contrasted darker stitching makes it a great option for wintry accessories.
Style Notes: Your boilersuit should have the following: pockets (patch ones on the chest are ideal), a belt (or add one of your own), rolled-up hems (to show off shoes and lengthen legs) and a little bit of attitude.
Style Notes: Sneaks are very welcome too—just show a slice of ankle for the most flattering silhouette.
Style Notes: If you aren’t sure of how to winterise your summer jumpsuit, just look to Xiayan and her all-black accessories.
Style Notes: Monikh is in this gallery twice because she’s a fan of the boilersuit. She’s petite, so it’s good to know the proportions can work for shorter women too.
Style Notes: A big thanks to Tracey for showing how to look good in a boilersuit at work—just add a roll-neck and high-heel boots.
Style Notes: Julie received the full ’80s sporty memo. Who would think a lemon-yellow all-in-one could look so elegant?
