Drake Breaks The Beatles’ Record for Most Top 10 Songs in One Year

Post Malone isn’t the only hip-hop artist making musical history on the pop charts.

Drake just shattered a record set by The Beatles over 50 years ago—and he could do it again before the end of 2018.

With the No. 5 debut of Bad Bunny’s “MIA,” featuring Drake, on the Billboard Hot 100, the Canadian rapper has now notched 12 top 10 songs this year.

The Beatles saw 11 of their tracks crack the top 10 in their breakout year, 1964, including “I Want to Hold Your Hand,” “A Hard Day’s Night” and “I Feel Fine.”

Billboard has further details:

Neither act had any holdover top 10s from the prior year, as all 12 of Drake’s 2018 top 10s debuted this year, just as all 11 of The Beatles’ 1964 top 10s debuted that year.

The feat makes another single-year record for Drake, who, with a 29th week at No. 1 this year, passed Usher for the most time on top in any January-December span, dating to the Hot 100’s Aug. 4, 1958, inception.

Not that The Beatles relinquish all records from the year of Beatlemania: Their six No. 1s in 1964 remain a single-year best, as do their 10 top five hits that year.

See all 12 of Drake’s Hot 100 top 10 songs released this year arranged by peak position, title and peak date below:

  • No. 1 (11 weeks), “God’s Plan,” Feb. 3
  • No. 7, “Diplomatic Immunity,” Feb. 3

  • No. 10, “Walk It Talk It” (Migos feat. Drake), April 14
  • No. 1 (eight weeks), “Nice for What,” April 21
  • No. 6, “Yes Indeed” (Lil Baby & Drake), June 2
  • No. 2, “Nonstop,” July 14
  • No. 7, “I’m Upset,” July 14
  • No. 8, “Emotionless,” July 14
  • No. 9, “Don’t Matter to Me” (Drake feat. Michael Jackson), July 14
  • No. 1 (10 weeks), “In My Feelings,” July 21
  • No. 5 (to date), “MIA,” Bad Bunny feat. Drake, Oct. 27

Here’s how people are reacting to the feat on Twitter:

“God’s Plan”, indeed.

Land Rover and Clarks Team Up For Rugged Sneaker and Boot Line

Land Rover has dropped a new line of sneakers and boots that are every bit as rugged as their signature all-terrain trucks.

The storied British automaker recently joined forces with Clarks to create a footwear collaboration called Life.Limitless that’s designed to be stylish enough for the city and tough enough for the great outdoors.

All three of the styles in the new collab boast GORE-TEX waterproof membranes to battle winter weather. The lightweight CLR 51.N slip-ons are built for everyday wear, featuring durable, dual-layered midsoles made from rubber and knitted weave uppers for maximum flexibility and breathability.

The CLR 51.N.

The CLR 52.N sport boots, meanwhile, have laces, a shock-absorbing EVA midsole and targeted rubber pods on the outsole, they’re trek-ready for anything from a trip downtown to a hike through the wilderness.

The CLR 52.N.

The brawniest kicks in the new line are the CLR 53.N boots. In addition to the tech featured in the CLR 52.N, extra rubber pods have been incorporated into the sole units to give wearers even more traction in wintry weather.

The CLR 53.N.

The CLR 51.N  are available for $200 now ,while the CLR 52.N and 53.N are slated to go on sale this November for $220 and $230, respectively.

The new line of kicks will come in black, light grey or khaki colorways.

This is just the latest unexpectedly cool collab from Clarks, best known for their old-school casual kicks. Earlier this year, the brand teamed up with Drake’s OVO line to update their signature Wallabee boots.

Fall’s 15 Best Bras—and Shapewear

Welcome to sweater weather! Though there’s less skin on display, what you’re wearing underneath your clothes matters. From T-shirt bras that sit smoothly under thin knits to shapewear that refines your figure for that party dress, these sleek foundations set you up for greater wardrobe satisfaction.

Much like these are the bras you need around in warmer temps, here’s everything you’ll want to have on-hand this fall-winter, according to the Bare Necessities in-house experts.

FALL MUST HAVE: A T-Shirt Bra

Why you need it now: “You need a good T-shirt bra for wearing under sweaters and for layering smoothly under a cami, a cardigan, or whatever you pile on top,” says premium buyer Heather Viskovic.

T-shirt bras we love:

1. Prima Donna Twist Tresor T-Shirt Bra: This smooth operator works in your figure’s favor every which way, from the uplifting underwire to the not-too-thick-not-too-thin contour cups, the supportive sides and no-slip straps.

2. Freya Idol Balcony T-Shirt Bra: For style as good as the support it provides, go with this amBRAssador Pick.  Pretty pinstriped, full-cut cups prevent show-through with a soft foam lining. Bold colors brighten up your day.

3. Natori Pure Luxe T-Shirt Bra: See all those five-star reviews? They’re because this bra lives up to its name. It’s comfortable to the point of decadence—no elastic ever so much as touches your skin—and seamlessly supportive at the same time.

FALL MUST HAVE: A Minimizer

Why you need it now: “If you’re busty, this is the season to break out the minimizer bras. You need them for tighter blouses with buttons, which you’re wearing now more often than in spring or summer,” Heather says.

Minimizer bras we love:

4. Le Mystère The Modern Minimizer: Everything you love about a T-shirt bra is in this simple, sophisticated minimizer than promises to take you down a cup size. Foam-lined cups both shape and cover.

5. Wacoal Precise Finish Minimizer Bra: Customers love this one for support, comfort and coverage that just so happens to have the added benefit of minimizing the look of your bust. It looks as good as it fits and feels. Love the range of skin tones, too.

6. Chantelle C Magnifique Sexy Minimizer Bra: Why yes, a minimizer can be drop-dead sexy, it turns out. This best seller disappears under clothes but stands on its own with a chic mesh overlay.

FALL MUST HAVE: Gorgeous Bras

Why you need it now: “These are really special somethings for all those holiday parties coming up,” says Heather. “When you wear a bra this beautiful, it puts you in a happier mood. Wearing luxury right up against your skin, to me, is a thousand times more decadent than any handbag or pair of shoes.”

Gorgeous bras we love:

7. Empreinte Melody Seamless Bra: You said it best! Per Fancierpants’ review, “Worth it. It is so hard for me to let go of the money to buy this bra. Yet I just bought four of them! This bra is so comfortable, stays in place, shapes beautifully, does the work it’s supposed to. I’m tired of trying bras out and being somewhat satisfied. This is the one for me.”

8. Panache Clara: This ever-popular Bra of the Month fits amazingly and lifts even heavy breasts with its 3-part-cups and all that good stuff, but, frankly, that’s icing on the proverbial cake because would you look at how gorgeous it is?!

9. Dita Von Teese Madame X Demi Cage Bra: It’s practically a crime to put a shirt or dress over this dramatic lace-and-satin stunner from the Good Girl of Burlesque herself. We defy you to wear it and not feel like the star of your own show.

FALL MUST HAVE: Shaping Leggings

Why you need them now: Leggings continue to trend in a huge way this fall,” said buyer Melissa McDonald. They’re as comfortable and flattering as they are fashion-forward. “Basic black is still a wardrobe staple, and you can branch out in confidence with styles like these.”

Shaping leggings we love:

10. Spanx Faux Leather Moto Leggings: You’ve probably seen these on legs everywhere, because they are amazing. You get cool, cutting-edge styling in supple faux-leather that can be dressed up or down with all that Spanx goodness baked in. Comes in regular and plus sizes.

11. Spanx Ready-to-Wow Faux Leather Leggings: Get the look of leather, plus shaping technology, minus the eye-stinging price tag. These decadent leggings come in petite, regular and plus sizes and a workweek wardrobe’s worth of rich fall colors.

12. Lyssé Medium Control Denim Leggings: The pull-on comfort of leggings meets your favorite jeans. They’ll always make you look put-together thanks to a range of washes and, most of all, the built-in panel at the waist.

FALL MUST HAVE: Shaping Bodysuits

Why you need them now: “These are your party-going secret weapon,” says Melissa. They don’t ride up like a camisole might, they can replace the need for a separate bra, they can solve wardrobing dilemmas other lingerie can’t and, of course, they smooth from torso to tush. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself wearing them Monday to Friday, too.

Shaping bodysuits we love:

13. Bali Lace ‘N Smooth Firm Control Bodysuit: This is one of our most popular bodysuits for the allover, everyday shaping it offers in a pretty, lightweight lacy package. With its underwire cups, no bra necessary.

14. Va Bien Strapless Low Back Slimming Bodysuit: Smoothing in the front, hardly visible in the back, here’s your special occasion secret weapon that lifts the chest and smooths the rest.

15. Miraclesuit Extra Firm Control Comfort Leg Bodysuit: So much shaping in such a small package! It works on a tummy, hips, rear with supportive bra cups and comfort leg bands that stay where they belong (this is key) without digging in.

The Only Shoes Southern Girls Give a Damn About

This is Style in the South, a series in which our Southern-based editor, Allyson, shares with you her insight into the trends and shopping habits that Southern girls follow (and don’t follow). She’ll also share her own personal experience with how to dress after returning to the South after more than a decade away. Whether you live in the South, visiting, or just curious, she’s here to give her Who What Wear perspective about all things Southern girl.

As someone who grew up in the South, recently returned to live there, and is obsessed with shoes, I think of myself as a bit of an authority on the subject of Southern girls and their go-to shoes. It’s just instinctual for me to look down at people’s feet (their footwear, obviously), and I’ve been taking notes.

While I do think that the aesthetic of Southern girls is generally classic, they do test out seasonal trends too. Granted, most of those trends fall within a handful of shoe categories, and I’m here to call out the six that I see the most, from sandals to sneakers to boots. To make things even more fun, I’ve shopped out each style for you, with picks that are the most “Southern girl,” but to be honest, each and every one would be cool no matter where you live. Keep scrolling for the Southern-girl shoe scoop and to shop each style for yourself.

Western-style boots are obviously a major trend this season, but they’re a wardrobe staple for Southern girls. I most frequently see them paired with short dresses or jeans.
Trendy styles like clunky dad sneakers are somewhat rare in the Southern states. Women in this region tend to stick to athletic styles that they could actually work out in.
Despite common assumptions, I really think that Southern girls wear ballet flats more than French girls do. The types I see the most are cap toe, pointed, d’Orsay, and slingback.
Of all the heel styles on the market (which is a lot), high stiletto pumps reign supreme in a Southern girl’s wardrobe. I typically see neutral shades, but trendier ones like animal print and glitter are also common.
Aside from cowboy ones, the number one boot style among Southern girls is undoubtedly classic block-heel ankle boots. Black, brown, and white are the hues I see the most, but I also spot them in statement-making colors and fancy materials like velvet.
Southern girls certainly wear other sandal styles, but the one I see the most every single summer is flip-flops.  This is regardless of whether or not they’re trending at the moment (like they currently are).

I Have Classic Style, and Here’s How I’m Shopping Black Friday Sales

Around the Who What Wear office, the other editors often refer to my sense of style as “classic,” which rings pretty true. While I’m constantly reporting on all of the newest trends, my wardrobe is rooted in pieces I can wear season after season. I’m definitely not trend-averse, but I always want to make sure the items I’m purchasing fit in with my personal style.

This brings me to my strategies for Black Friday. I see the shopping holiday as an opportunity to fill my closet not with trendy or seasonal items, but with pieces I’ll be wearing for years to come. This is especially true with investment pieces I’ve been eyeing but waiting to purchase at a more attainable discount. Ahead, I’m breaking down all of the pieces on my current shopping list, which I’m holding out on checking off until the Black Friday sales arrive next month. I’ve listed them in order of price, from big-ticket items down to more affordable pieces at the end, so browse accordingly and happy shopping!

I’ve been eyeing this watch for years and years.
The ultimate bag to bring to the airport.
I fell in love with these boots from The Row the moment I spotted them.
I already have a classic Burberry trench, and now I want to add a sleek black version to my closet.
I can’t stop thinking about these shoes from Amina Muaddi and know they would be perfect for any holiday party.
This cropped version of a blazer feels so modern and cool.
I’ll be stocking up on “old Celine” while it’s still around.
My love for leopard knows no bounds.
I’ve been contemplating buying these for months.
This coat is one I would wear year after year.
To layer with cozy knits and the aforementioned boots from The Row.
All of the editors at Who What Wear are raving about these, and now I need to try them.
I’m still on a beret kick, but now I want a leather version.
You can never own too many tees. Right now I’m loving this looser fit.
