Serial Entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk’s Greatest Quotes About Success

Gary Vaynerchuk, a.k.a. Gary Vee.

Gary Vaynerchuk, who turns 43 today, is truly one of a kind. He’s a wildly original entrepreneur and, in his own way, a stone-cold philosopher when it comes to dropping wit and wisdom about becoming a financial success.

The celebrated start-up wizard, social media maven and chairman of VaynerX is well-known for his colorful nuggets of advice, which he’s more than qualified to dispense. Beginning in 2005, Vaynerchuk took charge of his family’s wine business and it took off like a rocket, profits soaring in no time at all.

A guy who can take his company from $3 to $60 million while still in his twenties? Probably someone to listen to.

You can do exactly that with this brand-new “Gary V Sound Simulator.”

With the Simulator, you can juggle quotes all day. It quickly becomes obvious why his stepping away from the wine biz to launch Vaynermedia in 2011 made so much sense: this guy isn’t your dad’s kind of business guru.

A few quotes from the Simulator are all the proof you need:

  • Kylie Jenner is top ten most culturally impactful people.”
  • “Winners win, man. Winners win.”
  • “If you love Friday that much, then you need to look at Monday through Thursday.”

Ceros.com has more details here:

Gary Vaynerchuk doesn’t just work, he grinds. He destroys. He kills. In Gary Land, every interaction is bloodsport. As founder and ubiquitous CEO of Vayner Media, a $100 million dollar company that executes social media strategy for major brands, what Gary says passes for gospel. And Gary says a lot. The central idea behind his social media strategy is, basically, that whoever screams the loudest for the longest gets to be heard. By that measure, Gary himself seems to winning.

Growing up one of eight children in a studio apartment in Queens is an essential part of the Gary Vee origin story. His first real taste of success (after crushing the lemonade business, of course) came in 2005 at the age of 24, when he took over the family retail-wine business, growing it from $3 to $60 Million.

Not quite rags to riches, but rich to richer. (His billboards for Wine Library TV were a laughable presence on the Jersey Turnpike, but they apparently worked.) In 2011, he stepped away from the noble rot and began Vaynermedia, where is his ubiquity on social media (just try to log on to LinkedIn without getting a taste Gary’s wisdom) is proof of concept for his company’s approach.

Gary V has already written Crush It and Jab, Jab Right Hook. With a massive 10-book deal under his belt, he has plenty more to go.

Emily Ratajkowski: It’s Always a Good Time To Wear a String Bikini

Emily Ratajkowski wants people to speak their mind…even if all they’ve got on is a tiny string bikini.

The 27-year-old Maxim Hot 100 stunner and Inamorata swimwear designer made that intriguing statement after being named International Woman of the Year by GQ Australia

“What I think about what’s important in 2018 for both men and women, it’s about defying stereotypes,” Ratajkowski said.

“It’s about being multi-faceted. It’s about wearing a string bikini on the beach, and at a protest.”

The tone of her acceptance speech seemed to promote the idea that everyone has a right to be heard regardless of their appearance. We couldn’t agree more.

“I don’t think that any of us have to limit ourselves into a box, or the perception that anyone tries to force on you. Hopefully men and women across Australia will take that to heart.”

If anyone should advocate for bikini-clad protests, it’s EmRata. See ten unsurprisingly stunning examples of her modeling swimwear below:

This $150,000 ‘Platinum Mamba’ Knife Is the Bugatti of Blades

View the 3 images of this gallery on the original article

Here’s a $150,000 diamond-encrusted knife to go with your $100,000 diamond-encrusted vaporizer.

The Platinum Mamba was born of a collaboration between Sandrin Knives and Cabot Guns—the Pennsylvania-based custom firearm company that created a $4.5 million pair of .45 caliber Colt 1911 pistols out of the Gibeon meteorite.

The Mamba was inspired by groundbreaking creations from both the automotive world—namely the Bugatti Veyron—and watchmaker Patek Phillippe’s mastery of grand complications

Sandrin Knives lists both as examples of “meticulously crafted objects that use otherworldly materials to combine artistic achievement with well-established functionality.”

The Platinum Mamba’s most luxurious features are in the handle. It bears 320 colorless GIA F-grade diamonds and rare Wyoming black jade, all set in a whopping 11.5 ounces of platinum.

“The platinum casting contractor who is considered the best in the jewelry trade told us this is the largest use of platinum they have been involved in,” Rob Bianchin, CEO of Cabot Guns, told Forbes. “These folks do work for all the bigs, including Tiffany’s,” he continued, “It’s just an outrageous amount of platinum. The design of the handle, the setting of the diamonds and inlay of the black jade was all done here in Pennsylvania.”

There are also practical components that merit the Mamba’s admittedly outrageous price tag. Sandrin Knives has used their proprietary blend of ultra-tough tungsten carbide to create blades that last up to 30 times longer than the strongest steel on the market since 2016.

The Mamba, they say, has a blade that is “harder than any steel knife ever created,” with an HRC value of 71 on the Rockwell scale

Ford Leaks First Images of 2020 ‘Baby Bronco’

There’s no shortage of excitement for the long-awaited return of the Ford Bronco. But images shown at a recent Ford dealer meeting in Las Vegas have revealed the first look at Ford’s smaller crossover SUV that’s affectionately being called the “Baby Bronco.”

Ford had previously announced that the smaller crossover was coming, though nothing had been made official in terms of details or looks. From the pictures that first spotted by Bronco6G.com, the Baby Bronco appears to have some off-road outfitting like a roof rack and front tow hooks.

The prominent Ford logo in the grille seems to add some uniformity to Ford’s SUV line, since it’s reminiscent of every Raptor that Ford has planned for the coming year too.

Rumors are that Ford has intentions of making the Bronco line a subdivision of their company and public excitement is reaching a fever pitch in advance of official word from Ford themselves.

In the interim, these leaked pictures, one of which shows the Baby Bronco in the shadow of its full-sized big brother Bronco, indicate that Ford is diversifying the SUVs within its Bronco line, similar to the one-two punch of the Explorer and Escape.

What the Baby Bronco packs under the hood can only be guessed at for now, but Ford has made it clear that they’ll be placing a new emphasis on hybrid drivetrains for many of their future offerings– including the 2020 Ford Escape–and it wouldn’t be out of line to assume that the Baby Bronco would get a similar treatment.

With the full-size Bronco set to be an absolute beast of an SUV, it’s not shocking that Ford would be leveraging on that excitement to further the sub-class in a way that’s appealing to urban and suburban customers alike, ones that want the versatility, ruggedness and power of the Bronco but in a smaller form factor.

If these images are any indication of the style Ford is packing into the Baby Bronco, there’s no question it’ll be a successful addition to their 2020 lineup.

Pabst Blue Ribbon Could Go Extinct Because of Big Beer Legal Battle

Popped open a can of good old Pabst Blue Ribbon lately? People get older, tastes change, but PBR is a tried-and-true cheap beer favorite, found at backyard barbecues in the summer, tailgating parties in the fall, and at discerning dive bars year-round, often paired with a shot of bottom-shelf whiskey. In recent years, working-class PBR has sought to rebrand itself as the favorite beer of young hipsters everywhere–just check out their Instagram for evidence of that.

Now, PBR is in danger of going the way of dial phones and dinosaurs, if a court battle between PBR and suds giant MillerCoors, goes the wrong way.

Without brewing partner MillerCoors, there is no PBR. According to an Associated Press report, confidential documents have revealed that MillerCoors might be just fine with that, and that’s part of the reason PBR is suing them and the companies are headed to trial:

Pabst’s attorneys have said in court documents and hearings that MillerCoors LLC is lying about its brewing capacity to break away from Pabst and capture its share of the cheap beer market by disrupting Pabst’s ability to compete.

At a March hearing in which MillerCoors tried to have the lawsuit dismissed, Pabst attorney Adam Paris said “stunning documents” obtained from MillerCoors show that it went as far as hiring a consultant to “figure out ways to get rid of us.” MillerCoors has called that a mischaracterization of the consultant’s work.

It’s definitely a perilous situation for Pabst. Under an agreement that expires in 2020, the AP reports that “Pabst needs 4 million to 4.5 million barrels brewed annually.”

The company has no option other than MillerCoors for brewing, and “is seeking more than $400 million in damages and for MillerCoors to be ordered to honor its contract.”

MillerCoors is one of America’s beer giants and as such, it really holds all the cards here. Pabst counsel Adam Paris reportedly said his client faces “an existential issue” because “it has no real alternatives.”

Paris also contends that MillerCoors has acted in bad faith, citing a 2013 consultant’s report which discussed completely doing away with PBR.

Over email, a Pabst spokesperson gave Maxim the following statement:

Since 1844, Pabst has been offering authentic, great tasting and affordable beers to all Americans. From our flagship brand, Pabst Blue Ribbon, to our local legends, which include Rainier, Lone Star, Old Style, Stag, Stroh, Natty Boh, Olympia, and others – these iconic brands all have rich histories and deep roots in communities across the country. We are deeply disappointed that MillerCoors, the U.S. subsidiary of multinational brewing conglomerate Molson Coors, has willfully breached our 19-year agreement in an effort to stomp out the competition.

Even though MillerCoors’ market power is much larger than Pabst’s, we will not allow this industry bully to push us around. We are confident that the court will see MillerCoors’ fabricated “capacity” concerns for what they are: a thinly veiled, bad faith attempt to unlawfully hurt a competitor.”

Eliminating PBR is unthinkable, really: It’s like doing away with cargo shorts and charcoal grills.

The case that could decide Pabst’s fate goes to trial Nov. 30. Let’s all pop a cold one and cross our fingers that PBR will never die.

Fashion People Are Feeling This UK-Based Label—and We’re on Board

While I stock an assortment of labels in my closet, there’s one brand that’s consistently held its own for years: AllSaints. The UK-based label offers cool, downtown-feeling essentials like moto jackets, leather separates, boots, and more that have become staples in my day-to-day life. Some of the top fashion girls out there are also on board with the line, consistently posting looks from the brand on IG.

This season, though, there’s been one outfit from AllSaints that’s completely taken over—a snakeskin jacket-and-skirt set. After first spotting this of-the-moment look on Chrissy Ford’s feed, I was inspired to see how other fashion people wore the look. Then, I took it a step further after I scoped the set online and found myself lost in an endless scroll through all the fall and winter womenswear essentials on the site. Below, I’m showcasing how three women are wearing the IG-favorite snakeskin pieces in question. Plus, I’m highlighting all the other pieces I’m loving from AllSaints now too. Happy shopping.

The 3-Piece Uniform the Fashion Crowd Will Never Ditch

There are certain outfit formulas that just work—and will always work. As the fashion crowd continues to prove, a blazer, a unique top, and jeans are one of those go-to uniforms. Sure, it may seem somewhat basic and not inventive at this point, but there’s a reason the ensemble will continue to be a favorite. Even though it features just three pieces (minus the shoes), the outfit somehow masters that polished and sophisticated yet cool and laid-back vibe. Plus, if you opt for more current silhouettes in general (a checked oversize blazer, for example), the look will undoubtedly feel current every time. Keep scrolling to check out how nine fashion girls are styling the outfit that will always be “in”; then, shop the look too.

3 Trends I’m Wearing With My Anti–Skinny Jeans

Earlier this month, I shared the anti–skinny jeans that I keep getting compliments on, so I figured it only makes sense to share the items I’m wearing with my new style obsession. In addition to being one of the most comfortable pairs (scratch that—the most comfortable pair) of jeans that I own, the baggy denim style has become my go-to this season. I’ve worn the jeans to the office, out running errands, and on dates, and every time, I receive a handful of compliments and comments. When I’m not at the office, I style the super-loose jeans with some sort of cropped situation, like this long-sleeve option from Cotton Citizen and heeled ankle boots. I’m a sucker for a subtly cropped number and think it lends the perfect balance of proportions to the baggy pants.

For more office-appropriate outfits with the ’90s-inspired jeans, I’ve rotated between two looks, both pictured below: 1) a knit sweater and ankle boots and 2) a fitted top with a cool belt. Fresh cardigans are trending this season, so there are several options to wear with the jean style. I also love the idea of wearing the jeans with printed pieces like a belt and a simple top, as shown in photo two. See my baggy-jean outfits in action below, and shop the key pieces you need to re-create my looks along the way.

In case you had any doubts, the animal-print trend is still going strong. I recently expanded my print selection and added this zebra belt from Zara to my wardrobe. While this look shows a subtle way to incorporate animal print, I’m not opposed to wearing a fitted, let’s say leopard, top with my next baggy-jean look.
As I mentioned above, the outfit combination I’ve found to work best with this tricky jean style is with something fitted on top. I’ve worn this several times and look forward to adding more cardigans similar to the style seen above to my sweater selection.
Turns out I’m all in for this ’90s-inspired look, keeping things in theme when it comes to the accessories department. As you can see in this photo and the previous one, I’ve topped off the baggy-denim outfit with a thick black headband a number of times. I’ve also paired the look with a retro logo bag I scored on TheRealReal.

An Ode to the Underdog of the Animal-Print Trend

Leopard, snake, zebra, tiger… At this point, we’ve collectively embraced so many animal prints that I’ve been starting to wonder how many more can possibly fit on Noah’s F/W 18 ark. No longer being ushered forth calmly two by two, animal prints are being rushed onto store shelves as quickly as we fashion people are buying them, so it’s no surprise we’ve started seeing a certain less-expected print moseying into the fold.

I’m talking, of course, about cow print (and its closely related cousin, dalmatian print). It makes sense, when you really think about it, given fashion’s current fixation on all things Wild West. It’s a bold pattern, to be sure, but the color scheme is neutral (no pink cow prints, at least as far as I’m aware of), meaning it’s an easy one to work into your existing wardrobe without risking being arrested by the style sheriff. Keep reading to see and shop some of my favorite cow-print pieces.

H/T to Anne Johannsen, who first got me thinking about the less expected print when she wore these Topshop overalls.
An affordable way to get in on the trend. Might not want to wait to pull the trigger on this beauty.
Another day, another new pair of Vans slip-ons I’m considering adding to my closet.
Rixo clearly got the cow-print memo.
A bit of added texture makes this one a sure winner.
Yes, I’m going to need these too.
Love this textured gray variation.
A micro-print worth taking notice of.
Even Saint Laurent can’t resist the bovine charm.
Cruella de Vil called—she wants her shoes back.
How now, brown cow?
Okay, this pick isn’t subtle. Admire the drama.
Need new loafers? Skip basic black and give these a try.
Athleisure’s getting in on the trend too.
For lazy Sundays.
Carrie Bradshaw would have a cow over these.
Maximalists, eat your heart out.
Camo meets cow print.
Can you tell I’m not really into plain white sneakers?
Another quick, easy way to take the trend out for a spin.
A hint of print.
