Award show season is year-round for me, the moment I’m finalizing last-minute details for one red carpet, I’m onto the next prepping looks and pulling gowns for the following appearance. I basically predict fashion trends for a living, spending a shocking amount of hours scrolling through my favorite Instagram accounts in search of the season’s biggest trends so I can be sure to share them with you here. To be honest, I get weirdly competitive about sensing which styles are poised to blow up right before they do—predicting them has become an art form at this point. So when I stand behind the fact that one winter coat trend, in particular, is about to viral (if it hasn’t already), it’s because I’ve researched it to no end.
