WarnerMedia’s classic cinema streaming service FilmStruck is shutting down

WarnerMedia is shuttering FilmStruck, a popular streaming service dedicated to older, foreign, independent, and art house-style films from Turner’s Classic Movies and The Criterion Collection, the prestigious home video outlet that recognizes significant contributions to contemporary and classic cinema.

Turner and Warner Bros.’ Digital Networks issued the following statement to Variety regarding the closure:

We’re incredibly proud of the creativity and innovations produced by the talented and dedicated teams who worked on FilmStruck over the past two years. Donald Trump uses Twitter’s earnings to make more claims of ‘total bias’

Donald Trump has, once again, baselessly claimed that Twitter is suppressing his follower count because of political bias, apparently after watching a Fox Business report about Twitter’s recent earnings call.

This morning, Trump tweeted, “Twitter has removed many people from my account and, more importantly, they have seemingly done something that makes it much harder to join — they have stifled growth to a point where it is obvious to all. A few weeks ago it was a Rocket Ship, now it is a Blimp! Total Bias?”
