Hive’s new Home View Outdoor security camera was designed by Yves Béhar

At its core, the Home View Outdoor security camera is a lot like many other smart home monitoring devices: it mounts to your wall via a magnet, allowing you to monitor your space with the included 130-degree wide-angle lens. You view the camera’s live stream at full 1080p HD, and store footage for up to 24 hours on the Hive mobile app; paying subscribers can have access to a 30-day backlog of footage.

The Hive outdoor security camera is also IP66 waterproof, has a night vision mode, a microphone/speaker combo so you can speak to visitors from a distance, and motion detection.

DJI’s new drone features swappable search and rescue accessories

DJI is taking one of its newest drones and turning it into something small businesses and government agencies might want to use. The Chinese dronemaker just announced the Mavic 2 Enterprise — a modular $1,999 version of the Mavic 2 Zoom — that is better suited for tasks like inspection or search and rescue.

Mavic 2 Enterprise comes with three different accessories. There’s a 2,400-lumen spotlight, a 100 decibel speaker, and a flashing strobe. The loudspeaker allows operators to remotely blast up to 10 custom recordings, and the strobe is visible from three miles away. DJI says the accessories help move its products “beyond imaging” and “into configurable platforms that enhance aerial productivity.”

The Mavic 2 Enterprise has been…

OnePlus 6T announced with premium specs and in-display fingerprint reader

OnePlus just announced its second smartphone of the year, the OnePlus 6T, at an event in New York. The device matches up with recent leaks and features a very small notch, top-end specs, and an affordable price when compared against the 2018 flagship competition. For the first time ever, the company is partnering with a US carrier (T-Mobile) for direct sales instead of limiting the 6T to online purchases. This device is also compatible with and certified for use on Verizon’s network, which is another first for OnePlus. At launch, it will be sold in mirror black and midnight (matte) black.

The 6T features a 6.41-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2340×1080 (402ppi) and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. For the first time in a OnePlus phone, the 6T…

The bizarre Justin Bieber burrito incident reminds us not to believe everything online

Justin Bieber’s scandalous eating methods baffled people last week after a photo of the long-haired vagrant biting into the middle of a burrito went viral.

Even a casual burrito connoisseur can tell you burritos are eaten from top to bottom, using the tin foil to guide your eating path. Bieber’s supposed decision to bite directly into the middle — resulting in beans, cheese, meat and lettuce spilling all over the ground — is absurd. Multiple news organizations picked up on the photo, blogging about Bieber’s latest mishap, with Vice even going so far as to recreate the experiment. Everyone came to the same conclusion: either Bieber has never eaten a burrito, or someone’s pulling a fast one on the world.

Turns out the latter is true.
