For most, the thrill of piloting a Formula One race car at breakneck speeds remains impossibly out of reach. Yet, for the elite cadre of twenty drivers across ten F1 teams, it’s an ultra-demanding reality. Now, a new Assouline coffee table book, Formula 1: The Impossible Collection, 2nd Edition, offers a captivating glimpse into this high-octane world, updated to mark the sport’s 75th anniversary and reflect recent shifts in power, notably Red Bull’s dominant performances.

Inspired in part by the surging popularity of Netflix’s Drive to Survive docuseries and the upcoming, Brad Pitt-starring feature film F1, this handcrafted volume charts Formula One’s evolution from its genteel beginnings in 1950 to its current status as a global spectacle captivating hundreds of millions of fans. And it arrives just in time for this weekend’s Miami Grand Prix.

The lavish coffee table tome—which clocks in at 228 oversized pages brimming with 180 images—meticulously highlights the groundbreaking technical advancements that have defined the sport, the awe-inspiring feats of its legendary drivers, and the nail-biting finishes that have etched themselves into racing history. Iconic figures who have shaped Formula One’s narrative, including Juan Manuel Fangio, Bruce McLaren, Enzo Ferrari, Colin Chapman, Bernie Ecclestone, Jackie Stewart, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Jean Todt, Michael Schumacher, Lewis Hamilton, and Max Verstappen, are celebrated within its pages.

More than just a chronicle of races and champions, the newly revamped Formula 1: The Impossible Collection serves as a vibrant homage to the collective passion that fuels the entire F1 ecosystem. It dynamically illustrates the dedication of the mechanics, technicians, engineers, and team directors who operate behind the scenes, alongside the unwavering commitment of the drivers themselves, who risk everything to become part of the sport’s illustrious legacy.

Assouline’s latest offering is handcrafted in a luxury yellow PVC clamshell case with metal plaque, and carries a $1,400 price tag, aimed at F1 fans and luxury book collectors alike. In the immortal words of racing icon Ayrton Senna, “You’ll never know how a driver feels when he wins a race. Handshake Speakeasy, the popular cocktail haven nestled in the heart of Mexico City, has once again nabbed the coveted title of North America’s best bar. For the second year in a row, the sleek, subterranean hotspot clinched the top spot on The 50 Best Bars in North America rankings, which were revealed at a glitzy ceremony in Vancouver.

First opening its doors in 2023, Handshake Speakeasy has quickly become a fixture in the international cocktail scene. Its blend of innovation, atmosphere, and expertly crafted drinks helped it maintain its impressive hold as the continent’s finest watering hole—at least according to this annual bar ranking that’s closely watched by hospitality insiders. The coveted win comes as part of the prestigious 50 Best Bars ranking determined by the votes of hundreds of global industry experts.

Right behind Handshake is New York’s Superbueno, which retained its position at No. 2 for the second consecutive year. Located in the East Village, Superbueno also earned the title of Best Bar in the U.S., a distinction it has held since last year. The bar’s vibrant atmosphere and signature cocktails continue to set the standard for cocktail culture in the Big Apple. Rounding out the top three is Tlecān, another standout from Mexico City. The bar soared up the rankings, moving up seven places from No. 10 in 2024 to land at No. 3 this year. Known for its focus on native Mexican ingredients and unique drink offerings, Tlecān’s rise marks the growing influence of Mexico’s thriving cocktail scene on the global stage.

In fourth place is New Orleans’ Jewel of the South, which jumped two spots from No. 6 last year. The bar, which has become a top-shelf destination for both locals and tourists, is celebrated for its inventive takes on Southern classics and its stunning decor. The fifth position is claimed by Sip & Guzzle, a New York bar that makes its debut on the list at No. 5. This marks a significant achievement for the buzzy watering hole, which has quickly garnered a reputation for its innovative cocktails and laid-back atmosphere.

The 2025 rankings reveal that the U.S. continues to dominate the North American cocktail scene, with 26 of the 50 bars hailing from the country. However, the list also highlights a strong showing from Mexico, which boasts 14 entries. The Canadian cocktail scene is represented by eight bars, while two bars from the Caribbean also made the cut.

Notable among the U.S. entries is Overstory, which, despite falling three spots to No. 6, remains a key player in the rankings. Another New York hot spot, Double Chicken Please, dropped significantly from No. 7 in 2024 to No. 19 this year. Dante, a perennial favorite, also saw a dramatic decline, slipping from No. 20 in 2024 to No. 46. However, it wasn’t all bad news for New York’s bar scene. The city’s new entry, Clemente Bar, debuted on the list at No. 11. The bar, which sits above the renowned Eleven Madison Park, benefits from the culinary genius of Daniel Humm, a long-time favorite of the 50 Best organization.

Canada’s top entry this year is Bar Pompette, located in Toronto. The bar made a remarkable leap, moving from No. 29 in 2024 to No. 7 in 2025. The establishment’s emphasis on French-inspired cocktails and locally sourced ingredients has earned it a growing fanbase both at home and abroad. The Caribbean’s most acclaimed cocktail bar, Library by the Sea in Grand Cayman, ranked No. 30 overall, cementing its place as the region’s premier drinks destination. Florence Pugh is a big-tent superhero, a beloved actress with major indie cred, and still everyone’s favorite customer at the bar. How does she pull that off?

We previously declared that, due to its scalpel-like precision and ferocious output born in a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, “You’ve gotta be all in when you’re driving the DBX707.” Without even getting behind the wheel of Aston’s latest flagship DBX S, we’d offer the same advice.

As Road & Track notes, the British marque has enhanced what was already one of the world’s most powerful luxury SUVs by increasing output even more while cutting weight. Larger turbochargers and other engine upgrades have boosted its power to 717 hp, up from 697 hp. As for its diet, Aston offers an optional single-weave carbon fiber roof to shave off 40-pounds in mass from the vehicle’s highest point, which also lowers the center of gravity to improve stability and agility. Optional 23-inch magnesium wheels—the first implementation of such rims in the SUV segment—and a polycarbonate honeycomb grille help the DBX S save around 100 pounds in comparison to its predecessor.

Even with more power and less weight, the 3.3-second 0-62 mph time and 193-mph top speed are the same as the DBX707’s, but the DBX S will rocket to its top end .3 seconds quicker. Power is intelligently distributed through the same 9-speed wet clutch transmission, except in the DBX S, revised shift points have been tailored to the engine’s extended rev range, with more aggressive downshifts in Sport and Sport+ modes.

Visually, a new pure black vaned grille distinguishes the flagship model. New side sills with upturned air splitters enhance airflow, while carbon fiber accents are available for the mirrors, side strakes, and lower door sill. Unique “S” badging, crafted from solid metal and glass enamel, proudly announces its high-performance credentials. The rear is dominated by vertically stacked quad exhausts, available in gloss or matte finishes, and a completely reprofiled bumper and diffuser, which can also be specified in carbon fiber. A new lower livery design, available in three colors, further accentuates the sporting character.

Inside, the DBX S features a bespoke “S” theme, most notably a distinctive herringbone design on the standard lightweight Alcantara seats, which extends to the headlining with the optional carbon roof. Semi-aniline leather is used in high-wear areas, with full semi-aniline leather trim available as an option. Red seatbelts add a further touch of “S” identification. The “S” logo is embroidered on the seats, alongside Aston Martin wings embossed on the headrests. “S” badging also adorns the treadplates and engine plaque. Also included is Aston Martin’s latest in-house developed infotainment system featuring an 800W 14-speaker Aston Martin Premium Audio system, though we’d recommend appeasing your inner audiophile by opting for a bespoke Bowers & Wilkins 1600W 23-speaker surround sound system.

As the latest spawn of the elite DB bloodline—named for David Brown, the English businessman who bought Aston Martin in 1947 and Lagonda in 1948—the DBX S is living up to its name. Expect it to cost upwards of $300,000 when it reaches U.S. dealers later this year.

Drake is hyping his Summer Mink cologne with a movie-style trailer in which he portrays a fragrance scientist sniffing his way to the perfect scent. The rapper’s new cologne is said to channel the “indulgence of wearing mink in the summer, defying conventions of seasonality and gender while embracing bold sophistication.” Michael Carby, senior perfumer at Givaudan, shared more details in a press release for the Better World-branded fragrance. “Summer Mink was inspired by a yin-yang principle of fusing warm, creamy base notes with cold spices and sparkling citruses,” he said. “The ingredient composition was uniquely crafted to reflect a multinational culture with aspirations toward a Better World.”

The Amber Woody scent comes in an eye-catching 3.4-ounce bottle in the shape of a navy blue sphere. Built around “a sensual base of creamy musk,” Summer Mink is said to blend elements of sage and Italian citrus, punctuated by a “warm, spicy floral heart of jasmine sambac.” The fragrance is available now on the Better World Fragrance House website for $148 and is set to hit 1,400 Ulta Beauty locations across North America beginning May 12.

Drake also stars in a video teasing his Summer Mink scent, which finds him playing the role of an obsessed cologne scientist trying to develop the perfect formula. The clip shows the Canadian superstar and Kendrick Lamar nemesis padding around his mansion in sweats while carefully sniff-testing fragrances. “F–k. F–k, that’s good,” he says after a few sniffs. “That’s it. That’s it.”
