7 Brands at Nordstrom That Somehow Always Have Five-Star Reviews

Our readers have made it clear that they love shopping at Nordstrom, so I’m always trying to think of new ways to curate the retailer’s selection from a fashion editor’s point of view. Today, I’m writing about brands that somehow always have five-star reviews on Nordstrom’s website.

So what brands made the list? There’s a healthy mix of high (Gucci) and low (Ugg), with everything in between. For starters, there’s a brand that has cornered the market when it comes to activewear, a label that’s known for its cozy robes and cardigans, and a company that can’t ever seem to produce enough T-shirts. Scroll down to shop the 7 brands that Nordstrom customers love, and see what I’d buy from each.

A whopping 74% of customers gave these joggers five-star reviews.

These are ideal everyday leggings that have great reviews.

Perfect for your next workout.

Sleek and sporty.

The crystal-embellished logo screams luxury, but the low kitten heel makes them super wearable.

A classic choice.

These cute slides are back in stock after repeatedly selling out.

These Gucci mules have nearly 400 five-star reviews.

An impressive 94% of reviewers rated these shorts five stars.

Reviewers agree: These heels are extremely comfortable.

So comfy.

Nordstrom shoppers are simply obsessed with these sandals.

Over 500 Nordstrom reviewers have agreed that this robe is well worth the investment.

These socks have over 200 five-star reviews—consider me sold.

Over 80% of reviewers gave this blanket five stars.

No lie: This cardigan has over 3000 glowing reviews in which customers rave about its softness and comfort level.

These slippers have over 3,000 positive reviews.

Slippers are such a cute and useful gift for the holidays.

The classic top seller.

The tall versions are guaranteed to keep you toasty and warm.

Shoppers are unanimous: This tee’s a winner.

I love this baby blue color.

This chic belt also comes in two other classic colors.

This bandana has earned nearly 1,000 glowing reviews.

Nordstrom shoppers consistently give this tank top five stars.

I love these exaggerated buckles.

These have a cult following for good reason: they’re extremely comfortable.

I own these in multiple colors and probably won’t stop collecting new ones.

These clogs are perfect for wearing around the house.

No Gatekeeping Here: Beauty Editors Spill Their All-Time Favorite Hand Creams

Though a plethora of in-depth studies and articles exist on anything and everything skincare, nailcare, haircare, and even scalpcare, there’s one key category that’s often overlooked. I’d go so far to say that this category is an afterthought for most of us. I’m talking, of course, about our hands, aka the most overworked, underappreciated part of our bodies. Think about it: Our hands work hard all day and receive little to no respect. It’s about time we show our hands the gratitude and love they deserve.

Similar to the peculiar skincare regimen we religiously follow to reverse signs of aging and brighten our complexions, our hands crave the same attention. They, too, wrinkle due to sun exposure; chap and dry in the colder months; and could use a glow-up every once in a while. Feeling guilty yet? Don’t panic. It’s not too late to begin your handcare journey. The first step? Discovering the right hand cream and using it throughout the day. Scroll to see 26 top-rated hand creams.

It’s no secret that hand creams could easily be one of the most frequently used beauty products. My favorite hand creams (many of which are named below) have claimed a permanent spot on my bedside table; tucked between my phone charger and the seasonal candle of my choice for quick, easy access at the beginning and end of my day. I even carry one particular hand cream, Chanel’s La Crème Main Hand Cream in my bag every day; changing its location from my work bag to my going out purse as needed. It took me a while, however, to land on that one as my go-to everyday product.

To identify what sets a good hand cream apart from the rest in a indisputably oversaturated market, I turned to my fellow WWW beauty editors for their expertise on the subject. There were three main commonalities among their favorite products; all of which were’t the least bit surprising: lightweight, fast-absorbing formulas chalked full of skin-loving ingredients, affordable price points, and aesthetic packaging. Ready to find your perfect hand-cream match? Keep reading to discover 30 of our favorites.

“This hand cream is packed with tons of powerhouse ingredients like CoQ10, niacinamide, glucosamine, retinol, and hyaluronic acid. It’s one of my favorite hand creams to keep next to my bed and use overnight. It smells amazing and I love how big the tube is.” — Katie Berohn, Beauty Editor

“This is one of the only hand creams I use because it actually keeps my skin hydrated, soft, smooth, and practically shimmery with nourishment for hours and hours. Despite the MVP ingredient—rich honey extract—it’s not sticky or overly thick in the slightest. I don’t even really like hand cream (I know, I know), but trust me, this stuff will change you!” — Erin Jahns, Beauty Director

“Not gonna lie, I’m always suspicious about celebrity brands, but Homecourt has not disappointed me. I’ve become completely hooked on this hand cream. Not just because it smells like freshly cut roses (it’s truly intoxicating!), but I don’t think my hands have ever been this soft. It’s full of ingredients like Australian hibiscus flower extract that hydrates and protects, she butter to soften, and fermented micro algae oil to repair and nourish. I use it at least twice a day and already stressing about running out.” — Caitie Schlisserman, Beauty Director, Banded Content

“If you’re looking for a good, no-frills hand cream that hydrates your skin and makes it feel soft, this is it. It contains peptides and multiple vitamins to keep the hands looking plump and healthy. It’s also fragrance-free, so it won’t irritate those of us who have sensitive skin. I always keep a tube of this nearby.” — Kaitlyn McLintock, Associate Beauty Editor

“I use this hand cream every night before bed and wake up with baby soft hands. It provides ultra-rich hydration with ingredients like shea butter, cocoa seed butter, and niacinamide. It absorbs so quickly and is perfect for my super dry hands (which have become that way due to a lot of hand-washing). My hands tend to get a bit flakey when dry, but this cream solves that in a jiff—can’t recommend enough.” — Shawna Hudson, Associate Beauty Editor

“Not only is this the chicest-looking hand cream (my boyfriend and I keep it in our living room for aesthetic purposes),  but it also makes my hands feel incredibly soft after I use it. The formula uses iris pallida to strengthen the skin’s barrier, and May rose wax to deeply moisturize and nourish. It also helps improve nail health, which is a major plus!” — Berohn

“I know this isn’t the most luxurious choice ever, but that’s kind of the point. Thanks to the tiny price tag, I’m able to use it as much as I want without wincing. Plus, the formula is heavy-duty. With 7 moisturizers and vitamins A, C, and E, it hydrates, smooths, and protects my hands. Trust me on this, it totally alleviated my dry, cracked hands in the midst of a subzero midwest winter. It’s the real deal.” — McLintock

“I absolutely love the Glossier You Eau de Parfum, so it’s no surprise I also love this hand cream. Obviously, I love the smell, but the brand also spent two full years perfecting the formula prior to its launch in 2020. It’s not too creamy, but it’s not too “lotion-y” either. Plus, it dries in about five seconds and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy or like you’ll be leaving a trail of oily fingerprints in your aftermath.” — Jahns

“This hand cream took me by surprise. I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the idea of my hands smelling like fresh grass, but when I tried it in a pinch, I quickly became obsessed with the scent and formula. Let’s talk scent first. Instead of smelling strongly like a lawn mover as I imagined it would, it smells subtle and fresh and bright and up-lifting. It was love at first sniff. Then, there’s the formula. It basically melts into my skin, making it feel super soft and smooth.” — McLintock

“Not only do I think this (refillable!) container looks so good on my nightstand, but every time I use it, I wake up with the softest hands. It has retinol to help with uneven texture and discoloration, and colloidal oatmeal to soothe chapped skin, so it’s especially a favorite of mine in the winter.” — Berohn

This comes in multiple fragrances, so pick your poison. Customer review: “I have tubes of it everywhere—one in my office desk, one in my purse, one in my bathroom at home, one in my car. It’s the best hand cream for dry skin.” Pros: Lightweight and fast-absorbing formula. Cons: None

Proven to deeply hydrate and nourish your hands without being greasy. Customer review: “I live in a very cold part of the United States where the windchill can drop to -90º, and these products keep on working their moisturizing magic!” Pros: Ultra-hydrating for dry skin. Cons: Somewhat oily finish

Don’t forget, hand massages are important too. Customer review: “This stuff works miracles. Highly recommend for anyone needing relief from dry or cracked hands, as well as those whose jobs or activities shred their hands.” Pros: Formula crafted with macadamia oil. Cons: Natural fragrance is initially strong

This vegan hand cream is comprised of 20% shea butter and olive oil, which work hand in hand with exfoliating sea salt to add moisture. Customer review: “This is the best hand cream ever. My hands and cuticles become so dry that I can snag a pair of stockings; this cream is so rich, and it literally heals my skin.” Pros: Long lasting moisture after one application. Cons: Not fast-absorbing

A natural product made up of some of the best extracts including, rosemary, lavender, coffee, pomegranate, green tea leaf, and more. Customer review: “For those who hate the feeling of lotion, this is for you! I’ve lost count of how many different lotions out there that claim to be non-greasy, yet they all fail. This is the first one I’ve come across that actually is non-greasy!” Pros: Smooths and softens the skin. Cons: Formula tends to be greasy

Aloe is a key ingredient in this highly reviewed hand cream. Customer review: “My job requires a lot of hand washing which of course results in terribly dry hands. This cream is so soothing to the skin without feeling greasy and absorbs quickly.” Pros: Silky smooth finish. Cons: Moisture is not long lasting

Anti-aging hand lotion, check. Customer review: “My hands also looked like I was 90. Not anymore!” Pros: Deeply hydrating. Cons: Not vegan as advertised (uses beeswax)

Don’t forget: Hand creams also smell amazing. They’re the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Customer review: “My hands were quite spotted from years of sun, but most have faded away.” Pros: Fruity-fresh fragrance. Cons: Thin, greasy formula

Does anyone else buy products because they’re aesthetically pleasing? Customer review: “The best thing, however, is the lemon cream smell. It’s the best smell on the face of this earth.” Pros: Ultra-hydrating formula. Cons: Strongly fragranced

Industrial strength? Sign me up. Customer review: “When you first apply it, it’s quite thick and almost chalky, but it absorbs into your skin quickly if you don’t use too much. It’s heavier and quite conditioning, and it eventually leaves your hands feeling matte. It takes about five minutes for the greasy, clammy feeling to leave your hands while it absorbs into the skin.” Pros: Refreshing minty fragrance. Cons: Not ideal for sensitive skin

Ahava is made with nutrients from the dead sea in order to keep your hands hydrated and healthy. Customer review: “I’m a bit compulsive, so I did research online and bought the 10 best hand lotions based on lists and reviews from multiple websites. Anyway, this is by far the best hand lotion you can find.” Pros: Firms, softens, and evens the skin. Cons: None

I never travel without this guy. Customer review: “This is the best hand lotion I’ve found yet. I work with my hands and wash them constantly throughout the day. I use this at night, and my hands haven’t cracked yet since I’ve found this lotion.” Pros: Non-greasy and fast absorbing. Cons: Slightly medicinal scent

I’m a big fan of ultra-moisturizing formulas. Customer review: “A few people said the hand cream was too greasy. I think they put too much on. The package says ‘a dab,’ and that’s what I used—well, I needed a bit more at the beginning with the eczema, but I sing the praises of this product! Wahoo!” Pros: Promotes skin health. Cons: Has a thick, sticky consistency

A tried-and-true hand cream. Bonus: It includes SPF, which is imperative in wrinkle prevention. Customer review: “It goes on very nice and rubs in easily. I’ve tried other lotions with sunscreen, and they just don’t apply as easily as Eucerin.” Pros: Leaves no white cast. Cons: Not fragrance free; potentially irritating to sensitive skin

It’s all in the name. Customer review: “This is the only product that keeps my hands soft all day! Since I’m an administrator, I’m always typing, so I can’t have greasy hands.” Pros: Targets rough skin. Cons: None

A lot of hand creams use vitamin E because it moisturizes and nourishes by absorbing quickly into the skin. Customer review: “I keep this on my desk at work—not only does it keep my hands from getting dry, but the scent helps to keep me in a good mood. It’s very subtle—not floral. One whiff and I was addicted.” Pros: Restores dry hands. Cons: Thick (sometimes sticky) consistency

If this cleared my eczema, it can save your dry hands. Customer review: “I bought this product looking for relief for my dried-out winter hands. They had gotten so bad they were cracked and bleeding, and nothing was saving them. Aveeno is a brand I trust, so I gave this a go.” Pros: Incredibly soothing. Cons: Not long-lasting

An all-in-one cream for your face, body, and hands. Now there’s really no excuses for hand care. Customer review: “It’s not a high-end cream, and you won’t break the bank, but feels like it.” Pros: Effective, fast-absorbing formula. Cons: None

Working hand cream for working hands. Customer review: “I’ve tried many different kinds of lotions and creams, and this is by far the best I’ve tried for dry hands. In addition to moisturizing and healing, it doesn’t stay greasy (which I consider a plus). I highly recommend this hand cream!” Pros: Heals dry, cracked skin . Cons: Somewhat greasy finish

This First Aid Beauty cream aims to provide instant relief to dry and cracked hands, thank you. Customer review: “This product along with my acne-care treatment has made my face the healthiest and clearest my skin has ever been!” Pros: Safe for sensitive skin. Cons: None

If You Like Receiving Compliments, These Pretty Dress Trends Belong In Your Cart

I’m a sucker for a great dress. A chic frock can be the perfect solution to summer dressing—easy to throw-on with a pair of sandals, Mary-Janes, or high heels—and reliable enough to see you through a whole host of summer occasions. I mean, once the temps surge above 75, there is nothing more blissful than freeing my arms and legs and letting a single item take the sartorial spotlight.

Depending on your style aesthetic, there are plenty of fresh styles to try this season. Below, I’m highlighting 10 pretty trends—from alluring silky slip dresses to eye-catching crochet maxi dresses—that have the fashion-girl stamp of approval this summer. These are more than just your basic dresses. These frocks feature details, fabrics, colors and fashion-forward silhouettes that stand out from the crowd. In other words, they’ll incite all the compliments when you step out in them! So if you want to hear, “wow, pretty dress!” The next time you head out to brunch, the beach, or a bar, then take a look below at the charming dress trends worth considering this summer.

Open-knit and crochet fabrics are everywhere this summer in everything from neutral hues, to colorful patterns. Opt for a crochet dress in a sleek and streamlined silhouette instead to keep your look polished.

Silky slips and boudoir-inspired dresses are having a major moment this summer season. Just add sleek flat sandals and a relaxed button-down to put a casual spin on the luxurious-looking frock.

Linen dresses exude an effortless elegance in summer. Whether you go for a pop of color or classic white line, it’s the perfect option to add to your summer arsenal.

Cascading ruffles and hemlines are one of the prettiest trends we’ve been spotting on the fashion set this season. Feminine, ethereal, and playful, you’re sure to get plenty of compliments in one of these below.

Sheer fabrics dominated on the runways, and the fashion set have been quick to jump on the alluring trend. Whether you go for a lacey fabric or tissue thin transparent layers—a sheer frock exudes an of-the-moment look.

Lean into the mermaidcore trend, and opt for beautiful aquamarine hues, textured fabrics, and shimmering blue-green shades. Don’t forget sea-inspired accessories to finish your look.

It’s not summer without some pretty colorful prints—whether you go for bold florals or geometric prints, they’re ideal for your next warm-weather vacation.

Stunning 3D florals continue their dominance this summer—and we’re seeing them on a myriad of dress styles. The pretty appliqué is a trend-forward way to wear your florals this season—and is the perfect option for special occasions.

In continuation with the mermaidcore trend, shimmery and glittery fabrics are trending hard this summer. Give them a casual touch and style over your swimsuits with casual sandals and minimal accessories.

S/S 23 runways were rife with beautiful goddess-inspired draped dresses and irresistible ruching details. Both retailers and the fashion set have been quick to lean into the pretty trend, and there’s no doubt we’ll see it in full force this summer.

It’s Our Job to Be Picky—These 35 Beauty Product Impressed Us Most in May

By now, you’ve probably surmised we test-drive a lot of beauty products here at Who What Wear. From nail polish and makeup to hair and skincare, we’re eyebrow-deep in all things new, exciting, and wish list–worthy. That said, due to the number of products we come in contact with, we’ve become very nitpicky beauty consumers. Within seconds, we can tell if a new hair oil is too heavy, and we’re quick to ignore a serum that yields disappointing results.

The good news? We’re far more often impressed than unimpressed after trying out a new product, and usually, we simply can’t wait to spread the word to all of our fellow beauty lovers (that’s you!). Therefore, we’ve decided gushing over our latest fave products should become a monthly ritual. You can expect a full report every 30 days or so that details the highlighters, hair wands, and overnight skincare saviors we’ve fallen head over heels for.

For the most part, we’ll be covering buzzworthy launches, as those typically take up most of the action atop our product-filled desks, but we won’t dismiss new-to-us products, either. Sometimes, our best discoveries are found on a friend’s vanity or on someone’s face at the bar (true story). Ahead are the best beauty products we tried in May! Grab your game face and wallet because you’ll need both.

Anyone who knows me is in on the running joke that I just don’t sleep. Over the years, I have found certain lifestyle hacks and supplements that have helped, but the struggle is real and constant. So, obviously, when I saw my co-worker Aniyah gush over Lemme’s sleep gummies, I got my hands on a bottle immediately. I haven’t met a Lemme launch I haven’t loved, and these melatonin-spiked gummies are no exception. Not only are they made with clean ingredients and taste great, but they really, truly work. For the first time in a long time, I’m able to fall asleep quickly—I usually take them about an hour before I go to bed—and more often than not, I can sleep through the night. In addition to getting 5mg of melatonin, they’re also dosed with 50mg of L-theanine—an amino acid I absolutely love for stress- and anxiety-relief—plus magnesium, lavender, chamomile, and elderberry. My bottle is near empty and have already ordered 3 new ones so I don’t run out!

My nails have been a mess (read: practically peeling and flaking away right before my eyes) ever since I went one year straight with extensions. In an attempt to get my natural nails back to their former length and resiliency, I’m taking a break from extensions, press-ons, and even gel. This polish not only works as a great base coat for your at-home manicures, but it’s also infused with nourishing ingredients that act like a treatment, too. It’s all I’ve had on my nails for weeks.

I never thought it would happen, but after years and years of bleaching my hair, I’m working with my colorist to slowly but surely go darker and return to a shade that’s more similar to my natural dark blonde. My last few bleach and tones did a number on my strands, so right now, I’m pulling out all of the stops to get my hair back to where it used to be. Scalp care is of utmost importance for long, healthy strands, and I’ve been obsessed with this duo from Ceremonia. It’s not a new launch, but it’s been a pivotal part of my May beauty regimen all the same, and I’m already noticing changes!

I love how chic a classic slicked-back style looks, and Crown Affair’s new finishing gel is quite literally the product I’ve been waiting for to truly perfect my craft. It has a light yet buildable hold, which makes it incredibly versatile and superb for all hair types. If a gel is ever stiff, tacky, or sticky, I’ll run away screaming, so the fact that this one is water-based with a luxe gel-cream texture makes it flexible and easy to work with. It has great ingredients like jojoba milk and tsubaki-seed oil, and it’s easy to brush out sans water or wash. To really get the full effect, I recommend investing in the brand’s dual-bristle brush made from ethically harvested boar bristles and high-quality nylon.

This is not the newest perfume from Ellis Brooklyn by any means, but with a fragrance collection that gets so large and, at times, out of hand, it’s easy for bottles and launches to get lost in the chaos that is my apartment. Mid-clean-out, I recently found this launch from last spring, and breezily spritzed it on my wrist while I finished cleaning and organizing. Cut to an hour later, and I was practically out of breath over how prettily it had developed on my skin. If you’re looking for a quintessentially “summer” fragrance to wear this season, you’re looking at it. It’s the perfect balance between fruity and floral, and I guarantee the mix of fig, jasmine, and vanilla will make anyone around you trip all over themselves over how good you smell.

I absolutely love meal delivery programs. Even though I do love to cook, my tiny LA apartment has a laughable amount of counter space, and I’m perpetually in a rush. However, I’m also a total snob when it comes to the quality of my food. Trying to eat clean while also trying to balance work and life and all of the things isn’t always easy, so I couldn’t have been more excited to recently test-drive Methodology’s 5-Day Reset program (which is now available for nation-wide shipping!) I’ll put it this way—to call me obsessed would be an understatement. You can choose between vegan or meat/seafood-based meals, “standard” or “large” meal sizes depending on your nutrition needs, and you’ll get five days (Monday through Friday) of the brand’s organic ceremonial matcha, lunches, dinners, and yummy, high-quality snacks. The packaging is quite literally perfect, and the meals are insanely good. So good, that you’ll fin yourself wondering how on earth they can actually be so healthy and nutritious. I officially want to do the plan every week for the rest of my life.

I’ve been loving HoliFrog’s new sunscreen because it’s so lightweight and works great under makeup! It leaves absolutely no whitecast and really hydrates your skin, too. My only wish is that it were SPF 45+ instead of 30!

I’ve been LOVING this new body cleanser from Cosmedix! It’s packed with skincare ingredients like niacinamide to help with dark spots (perfect if you get those on your body, too) and it makes my skin feel so incredibly soft after.

I do take a magnesium supplement already, but this one is perfect to take before bed. It really helps me relax and get a better night’s rest because it contains three bioavailable forms of magnesium plus L-Theanine to help restore cellular balance. The result is better sleep, improved cognitive function, and a calmer overall state. It also tastes delicious—a plus for any supplement as I’m sure you know some of them don’t share that quality! (lol).

I’ve been using this preclease from Dermalogica for a few weeks and I love it. My skin is sensitive, delicate, and reactive and this is the perfect thing to use to cleanse after a workout so I can remove dirt and grime without stripping my skin. It has a creamier texture and really glides all over your face easily and removes mascara pretty well, too. Since my skin can be reactive, it’s nice to have a makeup remover and cleanser with prebiotics that nourish my skin’s microbiome and keep it calm.

I am a big proponent of glowy sunscreens, and this one from Hawaiian Tropic has been on repeat lately. It gives skin the most subtle luminous glow, and it also smells divine—like the sunscreen of my youth.

I have been really loving these Merit lip jellies. They give lips tons of shine but they feel super hydrating and non-sticky. I love the super sheer colors.

Give me a tomato-scented anything, and I’m automatically there for it. This soap is infused with tomatoes from the Sorrento peninsula, which leaves hands feeling soft and not dried out like many other hand soaps. It also smells absolutely amazing—if you love tomatoes like I do, this might just become a staple in your bathroom.

I can’t believe how well this gel keeps my eyebrows in place. It really does look like I got a brow lamination! The formula looks completely clear on eyebrows and doesn’t flake at all. Every time I use it, my brows stay brushed up and do not move at all.

You’ve probably used retinol for your face, but using it on your body might be new territory. This one is made to target specific areas, so it’s great to use anywhere on your body where you might be experiencing uneven texture. Since it also has AHA, it’s like instant gratification while it also works over time—you’ll wake up with baby soft skin after the first use.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again—every lotion should come in spray form! It makes body hydration so easy. I love using this as a quick spritz on my legs before I leave my apartment if I’m wearing shorts or a skirt. It’s so softening, and it also smells absolutely amazing—like being in an Italian bakery.

Okay, this is by no means a new product. Glossier Stretch Concealer used to be the only concealer I would wear, but I forgot about it for a few years while I tested more and more products. Now that I found my way back, however, I’ve only been wearing this concealer for the past month. It’s the only concealer I’ve ever used that actually looks like skin—it blends in seamlessly and has buildable coverage for every spot and discoloration. In the summer especially I tend to wear barely any makeup, and this with some glowy sunscreen, brow gel, blush, and mascara will be on repeat for me in the coming months.

I was already obsessed with the brand’s Exotic Pulp Body Lotion ($14), which has become a staple in my morning routine, but adding the body wash into the mix really brings it to the next level. Not only does it smell incredible—bright and uplifting like juicy grapefruit—but the slight, silky lather cleanses my skin without stripping it of moisture. Plus, good-for-skin ingredients like passionfruit oil, camu camu, vitamin C, and niacinamide brighten my skin and even out dark spots. I know it’s good because my boyfriend keeps stealing it from me.

If the brand’s Exotic Pulp Body Wash is the hero of my morning shower routine, then this is the hero of my nighttime routine. It has the most relaxing scent ever with notes of cactus flowers, dewy leaves, and juicy pear. It’s the best body wash to use to relax and unwind after a stressful day; I swear it makes me feel like a new woman. I also love the fact that it contains sea fennel, willowherb, and bamboo to naturally hydrate and calm the skin, while niacinamide and zinc PCA target uneven tone and texture.

I love nail art but hate spending the time and money it takes to get it at a salon. These mani markers are the answer. They work like felt-tip pens, depositing bold color in precise lines so you can create whatever designs you want. They come in all different colors, but this pack is a good place to start. I love them so much, that I’m planning on giving them out as gifts. I have a couple of friends’ birthdays coming up, and I love knowing their presents are already covered.

I’ve been on the search for an ultra-hydrating lip balm for a while, so I’m glad I stumbled into this one by Rose Inc. It uses superstar ingredients like rosehip fruit extract and squalane to restore moisture to the lips while also adding visible bounce so they feel as healthy as they look. I’ve been tucking this one in my bag before heading out the door for extra assurance!

As we head into warm, “legs out” weather, strawberry skin has been at the top of my list to get rid of. I’ve been using this exfoliating body serum 2-3 times a week for the past month and have noticed a huge change in the appearance of my skin. Where I used to see raised bumps and dry patches, I’m now seeing visibly bright and even-toned skin that’s also smooth and moisturized. Ingrowns and dark spots have also been disappearing! This is definitely a new favorite of mine.

I’ve always been a tinted lip balm girl. Admittedly, the last time I used a lip gloss was back in middle school. But, my world was forever changed when I tried this gloss. It’s not sticky whatsoever, and is actually super moisturizing thanks to the addition of rosehip oil. My lips feel pillowy soft, look plumper, and have a pretty pop of color.

Tower28 has countless gems, and this tinted sunscreen is one of them. Lucky for me, three new shades arrived just time for summer, and I’m truly amazed at how “Montana” blends so flawlessly into my skin. It’s also formulated with zinc (my favorite skin-protecting ingredient), and is certified by the National Eczema Association—perfect if you’re a sensitive skin girl like me. Your complexion will be protected and glowing, which is my M.O. for summer.

It feels like my collection of NARS products (specifically in the shade Orgasm) grows by the day. The latest to take over my routine is this deeply nourishing liquid formula. It’s a skincare-infused blush that’s lightweight and buildable. It adds s the prettiest rush of color to cheeks ever.

This highlighter is truly a sleeper hit. I’m not sure why it’s not more widely talked about. The texture is similar to the SuperShock Shadows and the superfine formula makes blending it in a dream.

I wouldn’t call this a lip oil, it feels more like a stain, but I’m very into it regardless. The jelly-like formula feels great on lips and leaves a perfect I-just-ate-a-popsicle tint.

I’m a face mist fiend and love that this one is infused with hyaluronic acid for added hydration throughout the day.

I love makeup that comes in pencil form. My only complaint is that some eye shadow sticks are too rough when applying them directly on your lids. But this is easily the creamiest, most blendable one I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot)! I’ve been using it as a shadow but you can also use it as an eyeliner or even as a base to other shadows on top. There’s also a built-in sharpener which many people probably miss!

This new sunscreen blocks it all: UVA & UVB rays, blue light, and environmental pollution. You can tell when you put it on that it’s heavy duty, but it only takes a few seconds to rub in well. It also is a 10/10 in the “not greasy” department. With my previous sunscreen, I had to use a bit of powder after to not look like a greaseball, and I’m more than happy to leave that behind. Not to mention, it doesn’t have any of the harmful ingredients that haunt some of the most popular sunscreens, and even has skincare ingredients like Elfdoc Flower and Lingonberry Stem Cells to promote skin elasticity and firmness. I only expect my sunscreen to do a good job blocking the sun, so the ingredient list was a pleasant surprise!

The most talked-about thing from Sofia Richie Grainge’s wedding other than her looks? Her wedding-day makeup. After spotting the bride wearing the perfect lip shade, I was curious to find out more and her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, confirmed that Grainge wore Chanel Coco Rouge Baume in 928 pink delight. Like the name indicates, the dewy pink formula goes on like a light, hydrating lip balm but has buildable color that is foolproof for everyday wear. Since the coverage is light, I’ve also played around by adding a neutral lip liner underneath for a more impactful effect. If you’ve been curious to try the viral Chanel lip balm, know that it now has a permanent place in my bag.

I consider The Super Hydrator from U Beauty to be the holy grail of moisturizers. The formula is somehow rich and moisturizing without being heavy or overpowering. It holds up as a moisturizer to wear at night, but also works under makeup—it’s really the hydrating lotion that does it all.

I’m not one to spend more than $30 on skincare, let alone on an oil cleanser. But trust me when I say, this one is worth every penny. The experience of using it so lovely—it feels nourishing, removes all my makeup, and doesn’t irritate my eyes. My face somehow feels softer after use, which is exactly what my dry skin needs.

I’ve been a huge fan of Wander Beauty’s under eye patches for years now, so when I saw they created an eye cream version, I knew I needed to give it a try. I love its whipped texture that sinks right into the skin and its subtle luminosity that makes me feel like I could skip concealer. Full disclosure, I could pass on the applicator portion, but it is a nice option for those who don’t like to use their fingers to apply.

Would you believe me if I said I spent a whole week in Hawaii and didn’t get burned? It couldn’t have been done without this sunscreen oil. As much as I champion sun protection, I do like to get a bit of a tan on vacation—sue me! This product is the best of both worlds, not to mention, it sinks into the skin like a dream. This oil, and a very large sun hat, will be in my beach tote all summer long.

These 29 AAPI- and Asian-Founded Beauty Brands Are on Their Way to Icon Status

In the decade-plus that I’ve been covering beauty—not to mention the many years prior I spent being a consumer and tried-and-true fan—I’ve seen firsthand how Asian beauty brands have completely revolutionized the industry. (Who can even remember what it was like before K-beauty won over our skincare-loving hearts?) So every May when Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month comes around, I love learning about new beauty brands I haven’t tried yet and seeing how far we’ve come in terms of representation.

After giving birth to her daughter, Jennifer Yen, a former actor, followed a traditional postpartum Chinese tradition called zuo yue zi that allows the mother’s body to rest after giving birth and incorporates superfoods. It ended up revitalizing her skin, inspiring her to launch Yensa in 2018. (She’s also the founder of Purlisse.) Yen acknowledges the appreciation and interest surrounding Asian beauty in recent years. “I believe this rise started happening when Asian Americans started representing themselves by creating their own beauty and wellness brands, bringing parts of their culture and unique perspectives into the beauty industry. And with this came more representation for us in the press, in campaigns, social media, and mainstream media. It’s about time that our flyness and impact are being recognized,” she says.

Despite the progress that has been made, Yen says that we still have a long way to go to “ensure that AAPI representation is amplified and not a passing trend but rather a permanent presence in the beauty industry.” Peach & Lily founder Alicia Yoon shares a similar sentiment, especially when it comes to beauty campaigns, influencer collaborations, and companies. “There are also so many beautiful ingredients, beauty techniques, philosophies, and modalities coming from all over Asia, and it’s important for beauty brands to give credit where it’s due, and I believe customers love that transparency and context of knowing where things come from,” she says.

Keep scrolling to learn about more AAPI- and Asian-founded beauty brands and which of their products you should add to your beauty routine this month and beyond.

The Korean beauty brand’s latest innovation is this ampoule serum. It’s formulated with plant-based collagen and mushroom for ultimate moisture and firming benefits.

The brand is centered around holistic wellness and includes supplement and skincare products, like this vitamin C serum that contains 10 times more active vitamin C than your typical products.

Not only is the K-Beauty brand’s award-winning dry shampoo formulated to bring instant volume and a refreshed look to oily roots, but it also contains black ginseng and biotin to support a healthy scalp.

Zero-waste packaging is a major part of Butter and Me’s ethos. The brand uses 100% recyclable or biodegradable packaging. Break off a piece of this body scrub bar in the shower to get instantly smooth, exfoliated skin.

Co-founder Christina Kao had the idea for her nailcare brand, Le Mini Macaron, after wanting the option to do easy and affordable gel manicures at home.

For AAPI Heritage Month, the brand created a collection called Sugar Blossom celebrating its Korean roots and is making a donation to the Asian Mental Health Collective.

The vegan and cruelty-free nail polish brand was founded by Michelle Lin to celebrate uniqueness through the artistry of nails.

The AAPI-founded makeup brand has gotten love on TikTok for its versatile products, like this multi stick, which brings color to cheeks, lips, and eyes, infusing the skin with nourishing mango butter and adaptogenic, skin-protecting ingredients like ashwagandha, brahmi, and triphala.

This affordable makeup line encourages creative expression through its products, like this lightweight tint that dries down to a soft, velvety matte lipstick.

Preeti Luthra is the founder of Pure & Cimple, a skincare brand that’s formulated using Ayurvedic ingredients that are effective and supported by research.

These semi-cured gel nail strips from AAPI brand Hip Chic are meant to be applied to nails like a sticker but cured under a UV lamp, and they can last up to two weeks.

Lin Chen founded her skincare brand on the basis of self-love and self-care. The line is inspired by astrology, which Chen grew up learning about and practices.

Kylie Jenner Wore the Everyday Jewelry Brand That’s Now on Sale at Nordstrom

Kylie Jenner appears to be entering her minimalist era, and based on what I’ve seen so far, I’m here for it. While in Paris over the holiday weekend, Jenner wore a series of sleek designer looks in neutral shades, and she kept her jewelry equally low-key.

The high-end pieces Jenner wore in Paris were in the thousands, but the earrings she wore for one particular occasion cost far less. Jenner posted a look on her Instagram that included a white Alaïa dress that she paired with a The Row bag and Loewe heels. Her silver earrings, the subject of this story, were from the gender-inclusive Norwegian jewelry brand Tom Wood. The brand has been around for a decade but is still a bit under the radar in the U.S. (in a good way), and most pieces are well under $500.

Jenner opted for a pair of the brand’s Small Chunky Hoop Earrings with a satin silver finish, and you could genuinely wear them every single day. And while Tom Wood may not be everywhere in the U.S., I was pleased to see several of its most versatile pieces on Nordstrom.com right now, and they’re miraculously on sale. Scroll to shop those and other Tom Wood gems I found across the internet, including Jenner’s exact earrings.

On Kylie Jenner: Alaïa Cotton-Poplin Halterneck Maxi Dress ($2600); The Row bag; Loewe x Paula’s Ibiza Petal 90 Leather Sandals ($990); Tom Wood Small Chunky Hoop Satin Earrings ($329)

16 Sneakers We Wear With Jeans, Dresses, and Leggings

As fashion editors who appreciate comfort and find ourselves in need of more casual clothing and footwear than ever before (since we’re spending far less time in an office these days), we really value a great pair of sneakers. And equally as important as comfort is that they’re stylish and can be worn with basically anything.

By anything, we specifically mean jeans, dresses, and sneakers—aka the most common things to wear with sneakers, but not every pair of sneakers look good with all three of those items. Some are a bit too sporty, some a bit too dressy, and so on. But we’ve found highly adaptable sneakers that make anything they’re paired with look that much cooler.

Below, you’ll find 16 pairs of sneakers our editors routinely swear by, along with some of our favorite new styles for spring that we’ve yet to try (but would certainly like to).

“Nike Air Force 1 sneakers are absolutely no-fail. They’re about as versatile as it gets.”

“They’re a total investment, but I love Golden Goose—they’re easy, go with everything, and are very comfortable.”

“I woke up at 6 a.m. to discover that these sneakers were back in stock after months of waiting and jolted out of bed. I first caught wind of them when I saw someone at my gym wearing them and I instantly knew that I needed to have them. They arrived in just two business days and have since made my frequent treadmill runs much more comfortable.”

“I’ve been on the market for a new pair of casual sneaks and this one recently caught my eye. High-tops are having a comeback and the distressed version by R13 is so chic. Plus, anything green wins a fashion editor over.”

“You wouldn’t expect a pair of pink sneakers to be a staple, but alas, my platform Converse have become the most versatile pair of shoes in my wardrobe. Styling them an all-black look? Vibe. With a white summer dress? Yes. They’re genuinely the sneaker I didn’t know I needed in my life.”

“These all-white platform puma sneakers will never cease to be the staple style for me. They go with everything, can be worn everywhere, they’re the perfect purchase through and through.”

“I have to actively try not to wear these sneakers every day because they’re just that perfect. Cool, comfortable, and easy to match, I can wear the with anything from sweatpants to trousers and feel like I’m doing something right.”

I recently got a pair of On sneakers and now I get what all the hype is about. I have a gray pair, but I’m intrigued by this earthy color combo.

I bought these on a whim last summer and ended up wearing them a ton. I can’t wait to bust them out again soon—they’re super lightweight and look as chic with leggings as they do with dresses.

“In my opinion, you can never go wrong with classic white Superga Cotu sneakers. I wear them with everything from floral dresses to relaxed suits, jeans, and shorts. They’re the perfect versatile pair at an affordable price point.”

“I’ve turned into a sneaker person lately and practically live in my New Balance 990s. They’re truly the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever owned and look equally cool with sweatpants and trousers.”

“Yep, I can’t get enough of New Balance right now, and also love the 550s. They tap into the ’90s throwback sneaker trend that’s really having a moment.”

“I don’t remember the last time I bought the same exact pair of shoes a second time, but I just did it with these after wearing my first pair to death. If that’s not the sign of repeat wear, I don’t know what is.”

“Sure, there are trendier picks from New Balance right now, but I appreciate how versatile the 574 shape is. I’ve been wearing them with everything from gym attire to slouchy suiting, and they’ve made it into my suitcase on more than one occasion.”

“I will always be a ride-or-die Converse girl—my black high-tops are my most worn shoe. They’re comfortable, long-lasting, and come at a great price. They always make any outfit look cool and laid-back which I love as well.”

‘Tis the season to wear this juicy color combo.

Square-toe sneakers are such a vibe.

Life is short—wear fun sneakers.

You can’t go wrong with a pair of retro Nike sneakers.

We predict this new release is going to be popular.

If it seems like these are everywhere lately, it’s not your imagination.

Once a classic, always a classic.

This lightweight pair is ideal for warm weather.

These have the perfect amount of chunkiness and a nice neutral color palette.

If You Trust Me at All, You’ll Buy These Pretty Nordstrom Sale Finds Pronto

I’m not normally one to condone random purchases that don’t warrant much forethought, but during sale season, you don’t really have much of a choice. Trust me—I spent 99% of the recent holiday weekend scouring every sale on the internet, and on multiple occasions, items I had in my cart disappeared minutes after they were added when someone else pressed purchase before I gathered the courage to do so myself. There’s no room for hesitation in times like these. It’s all about action.

I’ve never learned this lesson as intensely as I have at Nordstrom, where I’ve been missing out on unforgettable sale items during the company’s Half-Yearly Sale for almost two decades. Never again will I make that mistake, and neither should you. With that said, when I tell you that the 27 Nordstrom sale finds below should be purchased immediately, I’m not saying so lightly. So if you trust me at all, you’ll get scrolling. Hesitation will only lead to regret.

I’m loyal to my Hanky Panky original-rise thongs.

The perfect summer skirt—found.

If you’ve ever wanted to add a piece from The Row to your wardrobe, this bag should be stop number one.

I can’t stop buying white linen pants. It’s becoming a problem.

I love the neckline on this Free People knit, not to mention the chic open back.

If you hate short shorts, these are perfect for you.

The prettiest skirt of all.

My jaw is secured on the floor.

A cuff bracelet will take any outfit up a few dozen notches.

A quiet-luxury staple.

Consider me obsessed.

These belong in Queen Charlotte.

No more boring tanks.

OOO: I’m busy dreaming of these pants.

I’ll never say no to a cool pair of sunglasses.

If you hate standard swim cover-ups, a big linen shirt is the perfect alternative.

Gorgeous, gorgeous girls spend their entire summer wearing lightweight, billowy trousers.

Slip skirts are essential—period.

I truly cannot believe that these are only $50.

No tucking necessary.

Your tote game just got elevated.

These leggings are travel attire 101.

Lily Rose-Depp & The Weeknd Heat Up Final ‘The Idol’ Trailer Ahead Of HBO Premiere

HBO has dropped the final official trailer for its raunchy pop star series The Idol, directed by Euphoria showrunner Sam Levinson.

The controversial show received mixed reviews at Cannes Film Festival when it became the first TV series to premiere there earlier this month. It debuts on HBO and Max on Sunday, June 4, in the recently-wrapped Succession‘s iconic 9 p.m. time slot.

The series stars Lily Rose-Depp as rising pop sensation Jocelyn and real-life singer Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye as Tedros, a sex-obsessed nightclub owner and cult leader. Jocelyn is on a mission to reignite her career after calling off her latest tour and seeks Tedros’ help in reinventing her as the biggest star in the business.

The racy series received less than favorable reviews out of Cannes, with Variety sniping that the show’s nudity and seamy vibe “plays like a sordid male fantasy.” The Hollywood Reporter called “more regressive than transgressive,” but that buzz is bound to cause fans of Euphoria to tune into the June 4 premiere anyway to see what all the fuss is about.

Aside from Depp and Tesfaye, the cast includes Troye Sivan, Dan Levy, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Eli Roth, Hari Nef, Jane Adams, Jennie Ruby Jane, Mike Dean, Moses Sumney, Rachel Sennott, Ramsey, Suzanna Son and Hank Azaria. Tesfaye serves as a series co-creator of the series along with Levinson and Reza Fahim.
