Lane Bryant just debuted its first-ever influencer collaboration and we have a feeling it won’t be the brand’s last, considering multiple pieces are already selling out. The retailer has teamed up with Tanesha Awasthi of Girl With Curves on a collection of perfect-for-fall pieces, including a

About halfway through the Emmy Awards red carpet tonight, there was an overwhelming trend taking over. It’s not subtle. There’s no way to miss it. It’s yellow—bright, burst-of-sunshine, neatly highlighter-marker yellow.

Of course, the trend of yellow is not new in fashion. Our community of Who What Wear readers love it, an entire generation has been tied to it, but there’s no better evidence of a major trend than at least eight stylish celebrities wearing the same color within the same red carpet event.

Are dress codes merely just a suggestion? According to Black-ish star Jenifer Lewis, they really are. Watching her arrive on the 2018 Emmys red carpet tonight wearing the athleisure outfit of our dreams, including a custom Nike sweatshirt, black leggings, and—you guessed it—sneakers, we are officially rethinking this whole “black-tie expected” thing. Curious to know her reasoning behind the unexpected outfit, we looked a little further into her outfit choice and learned that Lewis wore Nike to support something much bigger than just a knockout look.

“I am wearing Nike to applaud them for supporting Colin Kaepernick and his protest against racial injustice and police brutality,” she told Variety on the red carpet. While I’d love to describe the Burberry S/S 19 runway show and collection in a few short words, today’s debut for the house by Riccardo Tisci hardly allows for such conciseness. Between the major models, throwback elements, reimagined classics, and a whopping 133 looks, you could say the new chief creative officer came in with a bang—and then some. Don’t get us wrong. We love a good red carpet roundup of women whose giant gowns, modern twists on suits, and generally over-the-top award show style fueled our fashion-loving childhood dreams (and still do, to be fair). So far tonight, though, as we’ve excitedly watched the arrivals on the 2018 Emmy Awards red carpet, it’s not the women’s fashion that’s caught our eye. Not that we should be surprised, but the gentlemen attending this year’s Emmys are showing up wearing some truly fashionable outfits. In fact, it is our humble opinion that they deserve to be recognized with their own roundup—and here we are.

Tom Hardy isn’t exactly pretty In Marvel’s new antihero flick Venom. But his watch sure is. The blacked-out pilot’s-style timepiece was made by Bremont, the cool up-and-coming British watch brand inspired by classic cars and aviation with strong ties to the military.

The U2/51-JET as it’s called takes design cues from a custom watch commissioned by the British Royal Air Force’s badass 100 Squadron, which provides “aggressor” aircraft for air combat training. Hardy is a Bremont fan and collector in real life – he’s also been seen sporting Rolexes and Omegas – so he didn’t need to act like he loves the rugged timepiece on his wrist.

The stealth fighter-inspired U2/51-JET is Bremont’s darkest watch to date, with a hardened stainless steel DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) case, an automatic movement and a 38 hour power reserve. 

Water resistant to 100 meters (328 ft.) it also features a black smoked glass open caseback, a first for Bremont, through which the movement can be viewed. 

Priced at $5,395 it’s right on point as blacked-out watches are all the rage on screen and off this season.

In collaboration with Venom studio Sony Pictures Bremont has also painted its prized vintage 1950s French military Broussard aircraft in a tribute to the film and the watch. Inspired by World War II fighters, artist Adi Granov gave the blacked-out plane a menacing mouth full or razor-sharp teeth. The plane is part of the private collection of Bremont co-founders Nick and Giles English.

A TV writer who bravely shared a photo of “vegan brisket” on Twitter has been getting absolutely roasted by meat-eating BBQ aficionados slamming his mutant creation.

Kevin Biegel, who has written for Scrubs and Cougartown, shared the sponge-like image of his vegan dish, which he revealed was a mix of “jackfruit, seitan, miso, beer, Franklin BBQ sauce made w extra sugar so it carmelized to a crust.”

But Twitter’s BBQ boosters couldn’t resist brutally clapping back at Biegel’s attempt at recreating the smokehouse staple:

Biegel, a father of two whose IMDB credits include writing for shows including “Scrubs” and “Cougar Town,” later explained in the responses that he himself isn’t vegan, but began experimenting with alternatives after a recent heart attack.

“I eat [meat] in moderation. I make it for people. But I’m gonna stick with my heart doctors and the experts when it comes to my health, thanks,” Biegel added.

On the flip side, Biegel also got plenty of responses from followers asking for the recipe, and commending him on trying to change his diet, even though some suggested that his ingredients — namely the BBQ sauce — were a little high in sugar.

But on Monday Biegel renamed his dish “Vrisket” so as not to incur the wrath of real brisket lovers, and declared that he makes and enjoys the real stuff, too.
