That’s all folks. Paris Fashion Week wraps today and there’s a ton to digest from the last four weeks of runway shows and presentations that gave us a clear, and perhaps overwhelming, look at what to expect from fashion in the next six months. Frankly, it can be a challenge to break it all down in one shot, so we’re starting with a few of the It items we know we’ll see more of soon: spring handbag trends for 2019.
The eight trends below represent some of the most daring accessories of the season. These aren’t simply everyday styles, but offer ways to make a statement with unique details like feathers or shoelaces, and unexpected silhouettes worn both strapped to the body and hugged closely at your side.
Ahead take a look at the 2019 spring handbag trends that we’ll be thinking about all winter long. Or at least, until they arrive in stores.
If you’re anything like me, you have a thing for handbags. I always have my eye on the cool new silhouettes of the season and the bags fashion girls have draped over their shoulders. But since the price tags of designer bags can usually be pretty steep, it can be costly to splurge on designer styles (especially when on a budget).
The good news? There are some seriously cool affordable handbags that look expensive. With fast-fashion brands designing cool versions of high-end styles, it’s possible to add chic bags to your closet at a fraction of the price. Ahead are 18 cool bags (starting at just $17) that belong in your next Instagram photo.

It’s officially October, which means we’re fully transitioning into our fall wardrobes, and let’s be honest: It’s slightly daunting. Between sifting through the pieces we haven’t worn since March and adding in new on-trend pieces to our closet, planning for the season ahead is always fun, but it can also be overwhelming. The easiest way to utilize our wardrobe? Find a seasonal outfit formula that works for us.
This season, our go-to outfit formula is a blouse paired with printed pants and ankle boots. While staying classic but also keeping with the latest trends, this outfit is perfect for every occasion, whether we’re heading into work or going out with friends over the weekend. We’ve rounded up our favorite of these pieces from MyTheresa.com to help us get ready for fall. Shop the outfit formula for yourself below.
I usually have a shoe strategy when I’m in New York City for fashion week. I know I’ll be walking a ton attending up to eight shows a day, so I switch up my shoes sometimes even within the same day so blisters don’t have the chance to form, since different shoes irritate the foot in different spots. This past fashion week, I assumed it would be the same and packed at least six pairs of shoes. For the first day, I wore Zara’s 1 1/2–inch Leather High Heel Strappy Sandals ($70). After a few years of street style pics, I’ve learned a little height is a friend to my 5’4” frame. I fell into my hotel bed that night sans blisters.
For the second day, I found myself reaching for them again. Turns out the pink color and barely there straps make them versatile enough to go with practically anything yet a tad more interesting than basic nude shoes. Day three arrived, and I wore them again, clocking 10 miles in the heels over the three days, according to the Health app on my phone. Affordable shoes often have a reputation for being uncomfortable, and I was so pleasantly surprised by this Zara find that I had to share. Scroll down to see my three outfits and shop the shoes.
When it comes to sneakers, black is always a good look. Stylish and versatile, it works everywhere from the gym to the bar to the boardroom, depending on the silhouette in question. Here, 20 great black sneakers for fall, spanning from casual to couture.

The Ultraboost features a breathable Primeknit upper to seamlessly wrap around your foot for a comfortable fit, and a reinforced heel provides even more support.
Whether you’re a fan of the “ugly” shoe trend or a fan of comfort, Birkenstocks are a favorite among a wide spectrum of the fashion crowd—and for good reason! They’re comfortable, and they add that laid-back je ne sais quoi to any cool and casual outfit. However, just like any other comfortable sandals that we use over and over again, they can get dirty. Fast. Don’t worry, though. It’s not the end of the world. With these five easy steps on how to clean your Birkenstocks, you won’t have to result to your backup pair—at least not until you’ve completely worn out your first one.
Whether you’re a seasoned New Yorker or simply visiting the Big Apple for the first time, going to see a Broadway show is a must. At least once. Yes, we know that being in Times Square for too long can get quite overwhelming, but as soon as you enter the theater to your respective Broadway show, you instantly know that strolling through the overly crowded streets was well worth it. Whether you’re front and center, have balcony seats, or were the lucky ones to win the ticket lottery, being inside a theater is a magical experience—and we’ll argue that you need an outfit to match. Don’t fret, though. If you don’t know what to wear to a Broadway show, we’ve got you covered. Scroll on to find 15 outfits that will grab all the spotlight.
Like weddings, baptisms are formal events. However, not that formal. Yes, the dress code can be quite tricky, but it’s nothing you can’t tackle. Unlike at weddings, there aren’t colors you can’t wear or too many other traditional you have to be aware of. However, you do want to check with the location of the event and ask the family just in case they have any preferences when it comes to what their guests wear.
Once you have that information, you are more than ready to serve a baptism-friendly look. Think tailored silhouettes, cute sets, monochrome ensembles, and possibly something that you can throw over your shoulders if you’ll be in a church. Don’t be afraid to add a bit of color, either. Don’t worry, though. To make figuring out what to wear to a baptism much easier, we’ve rounded up 15 outfits that will leave you inspired.
