Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Allen Wedding Photos Turn Heads

Singer and actress Hailee Steinfeld married Buffalo Bills Quarterback Josh Allen, and the wedding photos are turning heads.

It was a fairly short engagement, having been announced only six months before, although the couple were first linked together in 2023.

Details of the wedding, which took place on May 31 in Calfiornia, are starting to  come out. Allen’s coach says he didn’t seem nervous going into it all.

The wedding photos went viral on social media, where they were circulated widely, and they were published in People. The series of pictures shows the couple kissing and standing at the altar, as well as the bride walking down the aisle in her strapless wedding gown. One picture shows Steinfeld giving her new husband a big smile.

Allen was “calm” heading in the big weekend, his coach says.

“Jitters from Josh? I’m not going to get into any of that,” Coach Sean McDermott said to ESPN. “Good try on that. But he is as confident and as calm, cool and collected as he always is.”

Steinfeld has not posted about the wedding on Instagram. Neither has Allen. In July 2024, Allen confirmed their relationship on Instagram by posting a picture of the couple in Paris and writing, “Onward.”

Fans enjoyed the photos. “She looked like she was having FUN and they’re not even at the reception yet. That’s the way everyone should be able to be on their wedding day,” wrote one fan on X

When the pair was first linked in 2023, a source told People, “It’s new, but they are having fun.”  The relationship started after Allen broke up with his long-time girlfriend Brittany Williams, according to People. They had grown up together.

‘Beloved’ Restaurant Unexpectedly Closes After Nearly 20 Years

Sarris Cafe, a popular restaurant and cafe in Pelham, Alabama, announced last Tuesday that it was closing up shop after two decades of service.

The cafeteria-style establishment known for its Southern favorites shared the sad news in a Facebook post. The closure was effective immediately, with Tuesday being the final day of service.

“We are incredibly grateful for the love, support and memories shared with each and every one of you,” the post reads. “Your loyalty made this more than a cafe–it became a community, a home, a family.

“Thank you for letting us serve you. We will cherish these moments forever.”

Opened by George Sarris, an immigrant from Greece in 2005, Sarris Cafe had been owned since 2016 by Nick Sarris, George’s nephew. According to the longtime proprietor, financial concerns were the reason for the sudden shutdown.

“The profit margins aren’t there like they used to be and margins for food are up higher than they were, so it’s kind of a break-even restaurant right now,” Sarris told AL.com. “I was keeping it open for the employees, but I just got to a point where it was too much for me to not have anything coming back from it.”

Fans of the restaurant shared their disappointment in the comments’ section of the Sarris Cafe Facebook post.

“So sad to hear this. My sister and I ate there every Sunday. Great food and wonderful people. Please tell Nicole and Jasmine we will miss them and we will miss all of you!” one woman wrote.

“Sarris Cafe, you will be deeply missed – not just for your amazing food, but for the love and warmth you brought to our community,” a second woman added.

“I’m so sorry! What a loss for all of us in Pelham!” a third said.

The official Sarris Cafe website does not list the restaurant as closed yet, but its menu page only includes the food options for May 27, the last day of business.

Delta Issues Statement After Pricing Tactics Were Exposed

Earlier this week, a prominent travel writer exposed Delta, American, and United for an apparent pricing strategy that charged passengers more for solo seats than for group seats. Now, Delta has broken its silence on the matter.

Kyle Potter, executive editor at Thrifty Traveler, recently discovered that Delta, United, and American – the nation’s three largest airlines – were charging significantly more for solo travelers than groups when purchasing the same tickets on the same flights.

“I saw a $206 one-way fare to Newark this summer,” Potter told WCCO News. “I bumped it up to two passengers, then all of a sudden, I’m looking at $156 for the same fare.”

“You start doing some math, double checking, ‘What’s going on here? Did I enter the wrong airport code? Did I change the date on accident?’ It became pretty clear, quickly, this was a penalty for booking just one ticket,” he told the outlet. “This isn’t an isolated incident. This is a trend. This is something that airlines are doing in order to squeeze more money out of people who are booking just one passenger.”

Following the news, WCCO reached out to each of the three airlines and received a brief comment from a Delta spokesperson, breaking the airline’s silence on the matter.

In an email to WCCO, the spokesperson said that they were “limited in what it can say about pricing,” but did add that “this pricing structure is not new to Delta or the airline industry.”

It’s worth noting that after this pricing tactic was exposed, Delta did update its fares nationwide on Friday afternoon and is no longer charging more for solo travelers, offering the same fares for solo travelers and groups of travelers.

United followed this move, updating its fares on Friday evening. American, however, had not updated its fares as of Sunday.
