Yankees Make Roster Decision on Aaron Judge Following His Recent Hip Injury

The Yankees will be without Aaron Judge for the foreseeable future after placing the superstar outfielder on the 10-day injured list less than a week after he suffered a hip injury against the Twins.

New York (15–14) announced the move on Monday ahead of its series opener against the Guardians, which would’ve been Judge’s fourth-consecutive missed game. The reigning AL MVP had not played since exiting mid-game against the Rangers on Thursday due to a right hip strain he sustained on an awkward slide during the Yankee’s series finale against the Twins the night prior.

Monday’s IL decision came on the heels of Yankees manager Aaron Boone telling reporters on Sunday the team would evaluate the injured slugger to begin the week. Prior to New York placing Judge on IL, Boone addressed the 31-year-old’s status during a media session, where he stated the four-time All-Star was being “realistic” about his road to recovery.

“I think Aaron’s being realistic,” Boone said, per MLB.com. “He understands what’s at stake and that it’s important. So we’re having real conversations. I don’t want to close the door on (him) if he’s ready to play in a couple days.”

With Judge now sidelined for the time being, the Yankees will have to find ways to rally without their captain out of the clubhouse. Following Monday’s home game against Cleveland, New York will play two more games in the series before traveling to Tampa for a three-game stand against the Rays beginning May 5.

On the season, Judge has slashed .261/.352/.511 with six homers, 14 RBI and 18 runs in 26 games.

This $126 Orthopedic Dog Bed Is on Sale for Just $45 Ahead of Amazon Pet Day

There is nothing wrong with spoiling your pet, and if there has ever been a time to splurge a little extra, it’s right now. The second annual Amazon Pet Day starts tomorrow, May 2, and is similar to Prime Day in the sense that it’s a 48-hour sale with thousands of incredible deals. The sale includes massive markdowns on all sorts of pet supplies like dog beds, toys, treats, crates, and more. One of the best early deals by far is the large Arien Orthopedic Dog Bed, which is a staggering 64% off at just $45.

This isn’t like an ordinary dog bed. Instead of cheap filling, it’s made using orthopedic egg crate foam that provides ample amounts of support and relieves pressure points. It’s ideal for pets of all ages, but can be most beneficial for older dogs who might be suffering from arthritis and joint pain.

The unique design has a raised edge that makes the perfect headrest and supports their neck while they sleep. Plus, the removable cover is soft to the touch, has a non-skid bottom, and “cleans like a dream,” according to one shopper.

Given that the bed comes vacuum sealed in a compact box, the foam can take up to 48 hours to fully expand. We suggest allowing it to air out in a separate room before giving it to your dog to ensure it’s able to expand properly and take its shape. Once it does, they can start reaping the benefits.

“When I went looking for a new dog bed for my beagle it had to meet my strict criteria,” wrote a 5-star reviewer. “The Arien life dog bed does this better than I thought possible. Best dog bed ever!”

Amanda Seyfried Wore a Risqué Naked Dress to the 2023 Met Gala

The first Monday in May has finally arrived. As the fashion industry’s Super Bowl, the Met Gala is unquestionably the most highly anticipated event on the calendar. What other soirée could draw so many heavy hitters of the fashion industry to one place? (No offense, Oscars.) This year’s theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” and the exhibition includes his designs for Chanel, Chloé, Fendi, and others.

I truly can’t wait until the exhibition opens to the public on May 5, but for now, the 2023 red-carpet looks will have to tide me over. One sensational standout? Amanda Seyfried, who walked the steps of the Met wearing a naked dress dripping in gold threads. Scroll on to see her minidress from every angle.

Grizzlies Star’s Cryptic Tweet Has Fans Nervous After Playoff Exit

Grizzlies star forward Jaren Jackson Jr. shared a somewhat cryptic message on Twitter on Monday, expressing his gratitude for the city of Memphis a couple of days after the team’s playoff exit.

“Memphis I’m forever grateful,” wrote Jackson on the social media platform.

While it’s entirely possible Jackson was simply conveying his gratefulness to the franchise he’s played his entire career in, many Grizzlies fans took his message to mean something else entirely.

A slew of fans commented on Jackson’s post, expressing their concerns that the 23-year-old was implying he was leaving the team in the offseason.

“He’s gone,” wrote one fan.

Another fan wrote, “WE LOVE YOU DPOY NEVER LEAVE MEMPHIS.”

Additionally, a multitude of other fanbases chimed in with recruitment pitches to attempt to lure Jackson to their respective teams.

The Grizzlies were eliminated from the playoffs by the Lakers in six games. Jackson averaged 18 points, 7.8 rebounds and two blocks per game, registering 36.7 minutes per night throughout the series.

Jackson, who won the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2022–23, remains under contract with the Grizzlies through the 2025–26 season. He signed a four-year, $104.72 million extension with Memphis back in October 2021.

Barring a shocking trade request or the Grizzlies receiving a remarkably valuable trade offer, it seems unlikely that Jackson will be going anywhere this offseason. But that didn’t stop fans on Twitter from panicking over his social media activity.

Irina Shayk Just Defied Expectations and Wore Flats on the Met Gala Red Carpet

The carpet’s been rolled out, the tables bought, and the looks finalized—probably months ago. Unless you’ve been on a social media hiatus all week, you probably already know that the event I’m referring to is the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Met Gala. For one night a year, the biggest names in fashion assemble on the steps of New York City’s most beloved museum, and this year, they’ll all be wearing looks that celebrate the late Chanel, Fendi, Balmain, and Chloé (among others) designer Karl Lagerfeld. And since today’s date just so happens to be the first Monday in May—all the excitement is going down tonight.

No matter how much predicting we do ahead of the red—or in this case, off-white—carpet, attendees at the Met Gala always find ways to surprise us. Case in point: Irina Shayk, who stepped in front of cameras this evening not in stilettos or platforms, but in an extremely understated pair of ivory-colored flats. And good for her—we’re all about prioritizing comfort. To offset her more casual shoe choice, the supermodel dressed in a drapey, silk gown, paired with layers of diamonds chokers. After all, the key to a great ensemble is balance. See her look for the 2023 Met Gala below.
