Bills-Jets Week 9 Odds, Lines and Spread

The Jets will aim to rebound at home in Week 9 as heavy underdogs against the AFC East-leading Bills.

The Jets‘ four-game winning streak come to a crashing halt against the Patriots in Week 8 and host the AFC East-leading Bills at MetLife Stadium in Week 9.

New York, who is 1-3 straight-up (SU) and against the spread (ATS) at home, will struggle to improve those home records against Buffalo.

The Bills, who have beaten the Jets in four straight meetings, are double-digits favorites for a third consecutive game against their division rival. Buffalo beat New York by an average of 22.5 points in both games last season, and enters Sunday’s game with the NFL’s second-highest scoring offense averaging 29 points per game.

Josh Allen is 5-2 in his career against the Jets and is off to a 3-1 SU and 2-1-1 ATS on the road this season.

Odds and Betting Insights

This game—on paper—appears to be the biggest mismatch of the week, which explains why bettors find the largest point spread on the board.

Buffalo, led by the MVP favorite in Allen, owns the NFL’s best aerial attack, averaging 307.7 passing yards per game. New York has allowed just two touchdown passes to quarterbacks over its last five games but could struggle Sunday.

The dual-threat signal-caller threw for multiple touchdowns in both 2021 meetings, while averaging 302.5 passing yards.

Last week, New England exposed a Jets team playing without key offensive players Breece Hall and Alijah Vera-Tucker. Stacking the box, the Patriots forced Zach Wilson to beat them down the field and the young signal-caller came up small, throwing three interceptions.

Expect the Bills to follow the same blueprint laid out by New England, leading to Buffalo extending its winning streak over the Jets with relative ease.

Vikings-Commanders Week 9 Odds, Lines and Spread

The NFC North-leading Vikings are road favorites in Week 9 against the surging Commanders.

The NFC North-leading Vikings have won five consecutive games and in Week 9 head to Washington to take on Taylor Heinicke and the suddenly surging Commanders.

Washington’s fifth-year back-up quarterback has accounted for four total touchdowns in his two starts and has led the club to back-to-back wins over the Packers and Colts. Washington has won three straight games.

Minnesota, behind an offense anchored by Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook, is averaging 24.7 points per game (tied-ninth). The duo’s team-leading output has enabled the club to post a 4-1 mark to over spanning their last five games.

Vikings vs. Commanders Odds

Moneyline: Minnesota (-175) | Washington (+145)
Spread: MIN -3.5 (+100) | WSH +3.5 (-118)
Total: 43.5 – Over (-118) | Under (-110)
Game Info: Nov. 6, 2022 | 1 p.m. ET | Fox

Vikings Straight-Up Record: 6-1
Vikings Against The Spread Record: 3-4

Commanders Straight-Up Record: 4-4
Commanders Against The Spread Record: 4-4

Odds and Betting Insights

Washington, despite winning three straight games both straight-up (SU) and against the spread (ATS), has struggled to consistently score. The Commanders are averaging only 17.3 points per game during their winning streak.

One of the issues is the lack of a reliable run game that ranks ninth-worst though eight weeks, averaging only 104.4 rushing yards per game. On Sunday, the Commanders find a less than favorable matchup against a Vikings’ defense that has allowed only 50.5 rushing yards per game over their last four contests.

Over their current five-game winning streak, Minnesota has only beaten their opponents by an average of six points. The close margins of victory has led to a disappointing 2-3 ATS mark for bettors.

In Week 9, the Vikings will heavily script their game plan around their star wide receiver duo of Jefferson and Adam Thielen. However, Minnesota may encounter resistance as the Commanders have only allowed one touchdown to wideouts over their last four games against the TitansBears, Packers and Colts

GCW, FITE+ Reach Partnership on New Two-Year Deal

“Fans want access to everything, and that’s what this is,” GCW’s founder and CEO Brett Lauderdale said.

GCW is coming to FITE+.

Wrestling’s most innovative independent promotion will stand as a centerpiece to the evolving FITE subscription service. And while GCW has aired on FITE since 2018, GCW’s founder and CEO Brett Lauderdale confirmed that the new two-year deal with FITE+ makes it its exclusive new home.

“Fans want access to everything, and that’s what this is,” said Lauderdale. “With the volume of shows we do now, it’s expensive to follow every single one. We’re blessed to have the support we do, but it’s asking a lot. This is a way to see all the shows for one price, which is $4.99 a month on FITE+.”

The deal with FITE+ allows viewers to watch every new GCW show, beginning with the Nick Gage Invitational on No. 12. Michael Weber, who is the FITE COO, confirmed that it also provides the entire catalogue of GCW shows that have aired on FITE since 2018.

“GCW has a very loyal following, they’re consistent with their programming, and they’re constantly changing how people feel about independent wrestling,” said Weber. “This new deal gives fans every show GCW has done since their inception on FITE, which is 215 shows, and we’ll be adding more of their pre-2018 catalog, too.”

While financial terms were not disclosed, the success of GCW has made their product a premium. The added exposure from this prominent position on FITE+ should only serve to further expand their reach across the industry.

“We’ve created this relationship and connection with the fans,” said Lauderdale. “They are the ones who have led this unprecedented growth for independent wrestling. I’m so glad these circumstances have come around, making it so much easier to watch GCW. If you’re looking to follow us, this is your chance.”

Custom interval workouts are a long overdue feature for Apple Watches. | Illustration by Samar Haddad / The Verge

While you’ve always been able to customize Apple Watch workouts, the company finally added the ability to create custom interval workouts in watchOS 9. That’s clutch for any athlete itching to set a PR at their next race or just looking to switch up their training routine.

Previously, the only workaround for interval training on the Apple Watch was the segments feature. At any time during an activity, you could double-tap the screen to make note of a significant section of your workout. While handy, it relied on users mentally keeping track of their own intervals. But in watchOS 9, you don’t have to worry about that. The new custom workouts will keep track of all that for you, automatically switching from one interval to the next. You’ll…
