Pride Month is here! Every June, we come together to celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and to support LGBTQ+ rights, paying homage to the Stonewall uprising of 1969 in NYC—the catalyst of the gay liberation movement. In its 51st year, Pride continues to stand for activism, equality, freedom, and joy, and this year, plenty of brands are continuing the tradition of giving back to support the LGBTQ+ community.
Below, we’re sharing the fashion brands offering their support to make a positive impact. From Teva to Madewell, if you’re so inclined to put your dollars toward brands that are giving back, shop our picks.
This month, Teva releases a collection of all-gender rainbow sandals and accessories that proudly stand out in celebration of individuality and equality. To celebrate their commitment to the LGBTQ community, Teva will make a $25,000 donation to The Trevor Project—the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning LGBTQ young people.
To celebrate Pride this year, Madewell has launched a collection of love-inspired graphic tees and selvage jeans. Fifty percent of the proceeds will go to the ACLU, whose mission is to maintain and advance civil liberties.
Alo’s limited-edition Pride collection—Move With Pride—is comprised of hoodies, shorts, tanks, and bags with 100% of sales going to The Human Rights Campaign—the nation’s largest LGBTQ+ civil rights organization.
COS has created a capsule T-shirt collection designed in collaboration with creators from the LGBTQIA+ community. 100% of proceeds from each purchase will be donated to The Trevor Project.
To honor and stand in solidarity with the TGNCI communities, Reebok is donating to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, a legal organization that serves low-income individuals and people of color who are transgender, intersex, and/or gender nonconforming.
Nordstrom-made brand BP now has a year-round gender-inclusive collection called BP. Be Proud features a range of silhouettes for people of all gender identities. Nordstrom will be donating 10% of sales of BP Be Proud to Trans Lifeline.
In honor of Pride, Puma global ambassador, Cara Delevingne, and artist, Carra Sykes have partnered to design “Together Forever,” a collection that encourages wearers to raise their voices, celebrate their strength, and grow together. The collection is comprised of tees, hoodies, shorts, a patterned bralette, and matching leggings that features vibrant logos and graphics that honor self-expression and authenticity. Puma will donate 20% of the proceeds to benefit GLAAD, an organization helping to ensure fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBTQIA+ community in media and entertainment.
Australian eyewear brand, Quay’s Pride Collection will be donating 100% of proceeds to GLSEN, an organization leading the movement in creating a more inclusive educational environment in K-12 schools for LGBTQIA+ youth.
MeUndies are partnering with the Los Angeles LGBT Center to support their mission by donating $10,000 as well as $115,000 worth of Undies to their Trans Wellness Center.
Saks Off 5th has partnered with The Phluid Project to create a gender-neutral capsule collection with 100% off the net proceeds, up to $100,000 being donated to The Phluid Phoundation.
