Yep, I’m Already Shopping for Swimsuits—29 Sitting in My Cart

I recently rounded up the vacation shopping items I’m manifesting into my suitcase for a future getaway, so clearly, I have travel on my mind. I’ve also been thinking about adding some new swimsuits into my closet. There are so many cool pieces that have already dropped on the market for 2022, and I’m bringing you some of my favorites. While it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where swimsuit trends are headed this year, there are some cool themes already popping onto my radar.

Floss swimsuits are having a moment, with even thinner, more minimal straps than we saw last year. Throwback styles are also gaining traction. Chanel notably debuted ’90s-inspired swimwear on its S/S 22 runway, so I’m expecting to see even more retro pieces as we get closer to summer. It also comes as no surprise that there are so many vibrant colors since that is one of the major trends for spring 2022. Ahead, you’ll find my edit of the coolest swimsuit shopping options to peruse and/or buy right now.

The most stunning take on the floss trend, this is already in my cart.

The satiny finish is everything. Shop the matching Bikini Briefs ($164).

Floss swimsuits are seriously everywhere.

Christopher Esber always knows what we want to see. Shop the matching Bikini Briefs ($180).

The perfect neckline.

I’m loving this exact shade of green.

Get ready to see Chanel’s ’90s-inspired swimsuits go viral this season. Shop the matching Swimsuit Bottoms ($600).

You can never go wrong with Hunza G.

I’m starting to see one-shoulder bikini sets pop up.

I would also style this top underneath a blazer or button-down with trousers.  Shop the matching Bikini Briefs ($118).

Such a beautiful print.  Shop the matching Bikini Bottoms ($98).

Yet another ’90s-inspired piece.

Dopamine dressing meets swimwear. Shop the matching Bikini Bottoms ($85).

Subtle but very cool cutouts.

This print is giving me cool tropical vibes.

Yes to this high-leg silhouette.

Just add a chain belt.

Orange is the moment.

Waist floss is here to stay.  Shop the matching Bikini Briefs ($135).

Yep, another ’90s throwback moment.

For a touch of glitter.  Shop the matching Bikini Bottoms ($146).

Versace, Versace, Versace.

That’s right—more waist floss. Shop the matching BIkini Bottoms ($115).

The Daring Lingerie Trend We’re Suddenly Obsessed With

When it comes to lingerie—particularly bras—there are plenty of trends to choose from to suit your current mood. Whether you’re feeling something low-key and comfy like a ribbed cotton bralette or prefer something more sultry, such as a lace balconette, today’s intimates offerings certainly don’t lack in variety. But if we had to name one style in particular that we just can’t get enough of, it’s the sheer bra. Much less fussy than classic lace or strappy lingerie but still oozing with sex appeal, sheer bras are perfect for every day, no matter the situation—and simply put, they’re all we want to wear right now. We did our research and found the best sheer bras the internet has to offer, from dotted mesh bralettes to see-through floral underwired styles that provide plenty of support. Keep reading to shop our 16 favorites—all starting at just $18.

When it comes to pared-down yet sexy sheer bras, no brand comes to mind quicker than Cuup. We’re fans of The Plunge, a simple underwire bra made from sturdy power mesh. It’s available in band sizes 30 to 44 and cup sizes A to H and in a variety of chic colors.

Fleur du Mal may be known for its classic lace and satin lingerie, but we’re loving this simpler style featuring floral-stitched mesh.

This simple mesh bralette is perfect for every day—and it’s available in a variety of colors to suit your mood.

This underwire style is ultra-sexy without being over the top, plus it provides great support. The raised seaming is also a nice touch.

This sheer bra offers superior support for larger busts, featuring an underwire, molded cups, and power mesh wings to lift, shape, and smooth.

This classic demi bra is crafted from floral-stitched mesh over classic lace, making for a comfortable, effortless choice that’s anything but basic.

Negative Underwear is another brand famed for its impressive lineup of sheer bras and bralettes in neutral and subdued hues. Crafted from sheer Belgian power micromesh, the Sieve Demi Bra has a comfortable, barely-there feel that doesn’t sacrifice support.

Two cute bralettes for under 20 bucks? Don’t mind if we do.

Lingerie label Dora Larsen is known for its vibrant and unexpected color combinations, making for a bra that’s comfortable yet fun to wear. This balconette bra is soft yet supportive, featuring cups made of lightweight tulle.

Skims is the brand behind most of our current favorite intimates, and this sheer triangle bralette is no exception. Available in a variety of nudes and a pretty blush pink, this logo-covered sheer bralette is peak comfy.

This simple sheer red bra is understated but undeniably sexy. Designed with minimal seams and tulle cups, it’ll be virtually undetectable under whatever you choose to wear.

We’ll be snagging this pretty dot mesh bralette in every color.

Prefer a longline bra? Made from sheer stretch tulle, this underwire bra creates a flattering shape and provides light support. It’s so pretty that we might even be bold enough to wear it out as a top.

If you don’t want to go fully sheer, this plunge bra features a pretty mesh overlay with a non-sheer half-cup to cover the important bits.

Parade can do no wrong in our eyes, and this strappy bralette is the perfect combination of sexy and comfortable.

This striped mesh-bra–and-panty set is too pretty, and for the price? It’s a no-brainer.

7 Casual Outfit Formulas That Just Always Work

Is it just me, or is picking out a casual outfit usually even more challenging than putting together a dressier look? If I’m leaving the house in a plain tee and denim, I could easily try on 10 different pairs of jeans just to land on the right look that’s casual and laid-back but still says I’m a fashion girl without saying I’m a fashion girl, you know?

Since I find myself mulling over these casual looks more than I probably should, I figured it would be useful to create a fail-safe guide to casual wear for those moments when you want to be easygoing but still look cool. To me, the seven outfit formulas below do just that. Whether they feature the simplest basics in our closets or riff on a few trendier elements, putting together one of these ensembles is a can’t-lose scenario.

A structured blazer, especially one in a neutral tone, works wonders to make a simple denim outfit look polished.

Every closet needs a great structured blazer.

Subtle ’90s energy.

Perfectly relaxed.

Timeless kicks.

Double denim, or the Canadian tux—whatever you want to call it—is a never-fail formula. I’d take a cue from Jen and pair a denim jacket with jeans in the same wash and your favorite flats.

Wear as a shirt or unbutton it as a jacket.

Fewer accessories are sometimes better.

Trouser-inspired denim will always look polished.

The prettiest flats I’ve seen in a while.

A pretty dress with athletic sneakers is a calling card for fashion girls everywhere, and it’s actually so easy to re-create. Style a fun frock (bonus points if it involves elements like ruffles or puff sleeves) with your favorite kicks and add in whatever accessories suit your mood.

Reformation always knows.

Running shoes cool enough to wear off the trails.

Worth buying in bulk.

This color though.

Take a dressed-down approach to suiting by wearing a relaxed set with a simple ribbed tank and “dad” sneakers.

I’ll just say it: we made the perfect blazer.

And, naturally, the pants to go with.

An A+ basic.

Hinge your outfit around one piece—in this case, a printed skirt—and fill in the look with your favorite basics.

I live in my baby tees in the summer.

Nobody does ’90s-inspired pieces quite like Realisation Par.

I have these can attest to how comfortable they are.

An outfit-making addition.

When you’re not feeling jeans, relaxed trousers are a chic alternative. Wear them with a simple tank for an easy summertime ‘fit.

Simple with a hint of trendiness.

A must-have.

Thanks to 2021, coordinating sweats are an outfit you actually want to be seen out of the house in. A structured jacket pulls the look together.

If you’re going to invest in outerwear, you can’t go wrong with a classic wool coat.

This color makes everything look more elevated.

Airport outfits will never be the same.

Cool girls everywhere own them. Are you next?

Up next, see the winning summer basics my fashion colleagues voted on.
