Platforms were my footwear of choice throughout my teens. I wore them on nights out, to family get-togethers (heck, I even wore them to my part-time job at Faith). However, after landing a job in fashion, I found that my platforms, as much as I adored them, only hindered me on my clothing-return runs.
Gradually, they were simply phased out of my wardrobe repertoire. That is, until I saw the F/W 19 collections. Alexa often wears hers with her off-duty wares (think vinyl trenches, straight-leg jeans, and pinafore dresses), while Sienna ensures hers look fanciful with floral midi dresses and feather-trimmed separates.
