Timex Allied Three GMT Is An Affordable Alternative to The ‘Batman’ Rolex

Timex has been around a long time because they have a genius for developing affordable timepieces that emulate the style of more expensive watches without feeling like simple cheap copies. The Allied Three GMT “Batman” is an excellent new example.

It’s basically a good-looking alternative to the classic Rolex GMT-Master II “Batman.” (See the Rolex above.)

The Timex “Batman” comes with a black and blue 24-hour bezel and is powered by the watchmaker’s proprietary movement inside a steel case that is water-resistant up to 100 meters.

As usual, it also has Timex’s INDIGLO® Light-Up dial.

The $200 USD version with an adjustable, stainless steel bracelet is currently sold out—it’s that popular. However Timex’s Allied Three GMT “Batman” comes with a leather strap for $179 USD and you can pick one up today at Timex.com.

America Is Running Out of White Claw Hard Seltzer

It’s a tough time to get into fads around food and drink. The Popeyes chicken sandwich blew up big time—then apparently all available chickens disappeared or something because it’s no longer available.

And we can’t even console ourselves with a tasty White Claw Hard Seltzer, because we’re running out of that, as well, according to this CNN interview of White Claw’s senior marketing veep, Sanjiv Gajiwala.

More from CNN:

White Claw has blown up recently, sparking memes and trend pieces. Sales of the drink grew 283% to $327.7 million in July compared to the same period last year. Its sales also accounted for nearly 55% of all hard seltzer sales for the week of July 4, a 200% increase since 2018’s Fourth of July sales, according to data from Nielsen.

The beverage, which is the industry leader, was launched by Mike’s Hard Lemonade maker Mark Anthony Brands in 2016. That same year, Anheuser-Busch (BUD) bought SpikedSeltzer, which led to Bon & Viv. Boston Beer began manufacturing Truly, another popular hard seltzer.

The summery drink is so popular it inspired a song, “Drinkin’ Claws,” and news of a shortage set off a tongue-in-cheek social media panic.

The thing is, it’s not like there’s a shortage of hard seltzer in general—Anheuser-Busch has one, as CNN notes, and diverse distributors like Smirnoff and Natural Light have their own as well.

That’s not to mention cannabis-spiked seltzer is available in many states where weed is legal for adult recreational use.

So maybe people need to calm down. White Claw may be in short supply, but if you are still hanging onto a summertime thirst for boozy seltzer, someone will always have you covered.

Kaia Gerber Channels Mom Cindy Crawford in Stunning Leather Outfit

Model Kaia Gerber put some extra effort into celebrating her 18th birthday on September 3—she seemed to make it something of an homage to her famous supermodel mom, Cindy Crawford.

Gerber was spotted with a date at her birthday party at the Midtown Manhattan Edition Hotel in a striking leather Versace outfit. One rendered all the more notable because it was so reminiscent of a sexy number her mother wore to the MTV Video Music Awards in 1992.

The shorts, straps, gold accents, and lace were all strikingly similar to her mom’s outfit from near 30 years ago.

In a video made for Vogue UK, Gerber talked about her birthday and what it means to her. She said that being 18 implies independence. “Age is a notion,” she said, “I believe it’s a label on you.”

She also said, “I feel a lot more confident going into being…an adult.”

If her birthday suit is any indication, Kaia Gerber is being 100 percent real about that.

Check out some selections from the birthday girl’s Instagram—and from her mom’s—below.
