Surprising discovery could change the way industry uses nickel

Nickel is one of the most abundant elements on earth. It is hard, yet malleable, magnetic at room temperature, and a relatively good conductor of electricity and heat. Most notably, nickel is highly corrosion resistant, which provides for a variety of uses by industry. However, scientists have recently discovered that nickel not only corrodes, but does so in a way that scientists least expected.

Juul launches a Bluetooth e-cigarette that tracks how much you vape

Juul is launching its first Bluetooth-connected vape in the UK after piloting the device in Canada. The Juul C1 connects to an Android app that lets owners monitor how much they’ve been vaping, lock the device so that no one can use it, and locate the device if they’ve misplaced it. Juul told the Financial Times that it might add the ability to set usage limits and restrict usage around areas like schools in the future, but neither feature is available yet.

Trump says he’s ‘watching Google very closely’ after meeting with CEO

President Trump again took aim at Google in a series of tweets on Tuesday morning, claiming there was an anti-conservative bias at the search giant while also suggesting there was a conspiracy at the company to “illegally subvert the 2020 election,” ideas the company has repeatedly denied.

Trump said in the tweets that he had met with CEO Sundar Pichai and discussed recent news about the company, including its work in China. Trump wrote that “it all sounded good” before he learned of a former Google engineer who recently claimed there was a bias against conservatives at the company.
