In 2021, there’s going to be a total solar eclipse off the coast of Antarctica, and a few lucky (and wealthy) individuals will have the incredible opportunity to travel to the end of the world for the eclipse with Poseidon Expeditions’ Solar Eclipse Cruise.

The cruise isn’t just to see the eclipse and then come back to dry ground, but rather it’s a 23-day adventure aboard the M/V Sea Spirit ocean liner that sets sail from Ushuaia, Argentina, and sails through the Antarctic Peninsula, the Falklands, and South Georgia for over 3 weeks before returning to Ushuaia.

Activities will include a visit to the resting place of polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, marine mammal encounters like whale watching and hanging out with seals on the Falkland Islands, and watching the total solar eclipse from the Scotia Sea.

While I’m always seeking out cool new fashion labels to tell Who What Wear readers about (and add to my wardrobe), it occurred to me that my closet is stocked with a number of brands I wear on repeat. Yes, I’m always test-driving pieces from on-the-rise brands, but I’m a loyalist, so once a label wins me over, I’ll continue wearing it and telling all of my friends to buy its pieces as well. So which brands will you spot on my Instagram feed most often?

From just-launched labels I fell for immediately to heritage brands that are over a century old, affordable brands with pieces priced under $100 to luxury designers I’ve purchased investment pieces from that have a considerably low cost per wear, I wear these brands regularly and can personally vouch for each of them. “London-based Asai first appeared on the London Fashion Week schedule in 2017 as a part of the Fashion East incubator. With a strong focus on textiles, particularly fabric manipulation, Asai’s collections are super textured and visually rich. He’s best known for his standout paneled tie-dye tops, which are much sought-after and will hopefully appear as a continuity style in collections to come.”

“Created between London and Sydney, Studio Amelia’s barely there sandals have fast become my new favorites. Finding footwear with a design that can stand alone yet can simultaneously avoid competing with an outfit is a rare find, and Emily Inglis (Studio Amelia’s founder and creative director) nails the brief. I can personally vouch for their comfort levels: the insole is delightfully padded!”

“Wandler is truly for fashion girls: Amsterdam-based designer Elza Wandler is incredibly in tune with what customers want, and her sense of fun extends the idea of having fun with your wardrobe to your accessories. She has recently introduced a footwear line to her brand [she started out with bags], and I’m especially in love with her two-tone mules—also key for this season are the tie-dye and zebra bags.”
