This Incredible Solar Eclipse Cruise Is The Ultimate Antarctic Vacation

In 2021, there’s going to be a total solar eclipse off the coast of Antarctica, and a few lucky (and wealthy) individuals will have the incredible opportunity to travel to the end of the world for the eclipse with Poseidon Expeditions’ Solar Eclipse Cruise.

The cruise isn’t just to see the eclipse and then come back to dry ground, but rather it’s a 23-day adventure aboard the M/V Sea Spirit ocean liner that sets sail from Ushuaia, Argentina, and sails through the Antarctic Peninsula, the Falklands, and South Georgia for over 3 weeks before returning to Ushuaia.

Activities will include a visit to the resting place of polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, marine mammal encounters like whale watching and hanging out with seals on the Falkland Islands, and watching the total solar eclipse from the Scotia Sea.

Prices for such an amazing experience start at a wallet-cleansing $18,395 per person and go up to $39,995.

The Secret Drugstore Blushes That Rival 10 High-End Favorites

Blush might be the most underrated beauty product. Sure, bronzers and contour powders are great for an instantaneous St. Tropez moment, and highlighters can make us look and feel like a radiant orb when our lack of sleep makes us feel anything but. However, there’s nothing like a quick hit of blush to liven up our complexion in a time of need, which, to be honest, is pretty much every day.

Once you’ve joined the blush bandwagon and learned of its truly transformative powers, you’ll understand why it’s one of the most important beauty staples among celebrities, makeup artists, and beauty editors. It makes you look more alive and healthier than that fifth cup of coffee ever will.

As you may already know (or soon will), blush is easy to become rather dependent on, and since you’ll likely find yourself reaching for your favorite formula daily, we did you and your bank account a favor by sharing 10 of the most beloved blush formulas (if your budget so allows) in addition to the 10 drugstore dupes bearing an uncanny resemblance in terms of ingredients, wear, and finish. Ahead, 10 of the best drugstore blushes your face (and last weekend’s festivities) will thank you for.

How they’re similar: Aside from the most obvious similarities (they both double as lip-and-blush color and come in travel-friendly stick form), these blush formulas are natural, cruelty-free, and loaded with skin-enhancing ingredients like jojoba oil. At one-fifth the price, this pick from Burt’s Bees also comes in six colors versus Westman Atelier’s four.

How they’re similar: Milani is one of our all-time favorite drugstore brands, and while all of its product offerings are fab, its selection of gorgeous blushes is one of the very best. This pretty baked number is a known cult favorite and imparts the prettiest prismatic glow. The brand also just launched two new colors that are only $8 a pop.

How they’re similar: Each blush boasts a handy doe-foot applicator and bouncy, featherlight formula. However, Revlon’s drugstore counterpart comes in at about one-fourth the price of Giorgio Armani’s fan favorite

How they’re similar: I’m not going to lie, I have a longtime, die-hard love for this collection of blushes from Hourglass. And while I won’t be banishing my current supply anytime soon, I will say that this baked illuminating blush from Found is the closest drugstore dupe I’ve found. Plus, it’s filled with natural, skin-loving botanicals.

How they’re similar: It’s true—no blush can ever compare to Orgasm’s icon status. That said, this shimmering pop of coral-pink from L’Oréal is pretty darn stellar and one of the most flattering drugstore blush formulas we’ve swiped in a long, long time. (Oh, and did we mention the pan is bigger, and the price tag is significantly smaller? Just saying.)

How they’re similar: One part blush, one part subtle dose of color, both offerings from Guerlain and Physicians Formula are the perfect blush prescription for anyone looking for a flattering hint of glow. And while this drugstore iteration might lack Guerlain’s exclusive Stardust Technology, it does contain mica and a healthy dose of antioxidants for a glow-worthy and radiant flush.

How they’re similar: For the ultimate juicy pop of color, this new launch from E.l.f. boasts a similar likeness to the above favorite from Chantecaille. Both formulas burst with hydrating ingredients and are also cruelty-free and vegan. Plus, the packaging is equally adorable.

How they’re similar: The above work of art from Kevyn Aucoin is pure genius. It’s an ombré melding of pearl, satin, and matte finishes in a spectrum of gradient colors so you’re really getting more than just one blush for your money. That said, this drugstore blush from Nyx follows the same concept and is much less of a splurge.

How they’re similar: Even though quite a few beauty brands have debuted color-changing formulas contingent on our unique pH, Smashbox and its “O-” formulas were one of the OGs. The above tint-changing pick is filled with all sorts of yummy ingredients like goji, pomegranate, and Ginkgo biloba, and Wet n Wild’s brand-new debut follows suit as self-adjusting shade-shifter chock-full of good stuff like murumuru seed butter, shea butter, virgin passion fruit, argan, and more.

How they’re similar: Cruelty-free, this best-of-the-best drugstore blush from Essence has a similar brand ethos to Tarte’s, and this matte-finish blush bears a striking resemblance to Tarte’s iconic Amazonian formula in that it keeps shine and dewiness at bay, lasts all day, and is highly pigmented for the perfect pop of pigment.  Up next: The 7 Most-Wanted Face Creams—and Their Less Expensive Drugstore Dupes

The Unexpected Color Combination Everyone Is Wearing Right Now

When it comes to complementary and clashing colors, it can be hard to know which hues work together and which hues just don’t. Really, it’s down to trial and error (our fashion mantra is to try everything once) and learning from your mistakes. Right now, there’s a particular pairing doing the Instagram rounds which, on paper, really shouldn’t work, but it somehow does.

Countless influencers are putting together two of this season’s top color trends—green and lilac—to unexpectedly chic avail. It appears one of the easiest (read: less daunting) ways to wear it is by opting for pastel iterations of green and purple, which blend together beautifully.

That said, if you’re looking to make a true style statement, perhaps you’ll be keen to try María Bernad’s ultraviolet-and-moss duo. Either way, rest assured you’ll look very much on trend.

Keep scrolling to see our favorite green-and-lilac outfits this week has given us, and then shop our edit of the best buys in each hue.

Jessie Bush balances out her green skirt–and–purple top combination with simple monochromatic accessories.

Fanny Ekstrand slings a green knit over her lilac blouse for a subtle take on the trend.

María wholly invests in the look by pairing bright-green trousers with a chic lilac blouse. The addition of tan accessories? Inspired.

Laura Werner gives the trend a downtime spin by wearing her chic green skirt with a tucked-in purple T-shirt.

Karoline Dall pairs her purple wrap dress and lilac Havaianas with a neon-green bucket hat.

Marie Jedig pairs her checked & Other Stories dress with a lilac overcoat and chunky sneakers.

11 Fall Jewelry Trends Hollywood Stylists Are Betting On

Though we’re still in the throes of summer, we here at Who What Wear can’t stop talking about fall trends. For those just joining us, please see our guide to the most popular shoes of the season and the color trends that everyone will be wearing in two months. While we’ve also already shared our fall jewelry trends report, we just had to know which trends the pros are buying into this season. Who better to weigh in on the topic than Hollywood stylists whose jobs basically involve predicting up-and-coming trends?

Ahead, we asked celebrity stylists who’ve worked with the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Kourtney Kardashian, Becky G, and Jessica Alba share the only accessories that matter this fall. From elevated anklets to punk pearls to edgy metals, these are the jewelry trends Candice Lambert, Dani Michelle, Morgan Pinney, and Mecca Cox are betting on this season. If you want to be ahead of the curve, keep scrolling and add an assortment of expert-approved earrings, bracelets, anklets, and rings to your cart stat.

“Anklets are back from the ’90s and having a huge moment. You can get them gold, crystallized, or even pearl, and they bring a sexy touch to a dress or short moment. If you are very bold in your fashion, wear them over your tights on a night out.”— Candice Lambert

“I love gold hoops for fall! They have been in style since ancient civilization and they will continue to be a great addition to a look. Jennifer Fisher Jewelry makes great ones that just add a pop of street style or a statement for a less polished look.”— Candice Lambert

“[Gold hoop earrings] are a classic timeless statement piece without feeling over the top and just give a little edge to your look and warmth to your face. You can go from tiny hugging hoops, to which I like to adding small hanging charms for variety, to larger hoops, but I tend to prefer the thicker hoops that are not too large in circumference for a chic-but-cool vibe.” — Mecca Cox

“I love the rainbow rings by H. Crowne because they are stackable and bring a colorful, playful vibe to a look. You can pile them on or put one on each finger to bring a little pop to your outfit.” — Candice Lambert

“Whether earrings, necklaces, imbedded into clothes, or silver, I’m really loving how something that was so serious is becoming more juxtaposed into the cool.” — Dani Michelle

“I still can’t get enough of massive, oversize, and even mismatched statement earrings that steal the show. When girls show up in these earrings, it always draws my eye to their confidence and glamour.” — Dani Michelle

“I love mixing super-tough-looking jewelry with simple looks. Alexander McQueen always features fun edgy jewelry on the runway, and it’s a great way to turn a simple look into a badass one.” — Morgan Pinney

“Thick hoops are a fun variation of a classic style. Jennifer Fisher’s are so light and don’t weigh down your ears, so they’re perfect for everyday wear.” — Morgan Pinney

“I love the look of multiple earrings on one ear, and it gives you the freedom to wear all your favorite earrings at once!” — Morgan Pinney

“What’s more effortlessly glamorous than a diamond tennis bracelet? I love that they tend to be considered jewelry for a woman of a certain age, or associated with a sophisticated lady on Dynasty or something, but putting one on a young girl is cool because of that juxtaposition.

“Also, there are so many cool jewelry designers making them in slightly unique ways that reinvent the way we see them right now. My mom has a really beautiful one that I’ve tried to steal from her—and the point is there’s no woman who doesn’t look good in a diamond bracelet! It elevates you in just the right way.” — Mecca Cox

“Typically I tend to wear very fine small rings and bands, with or without stones that I can layer. I love these gorgeous tiny rings by Yi Guo. People always complement this ring, and I love that you can choose from a variety of stone types.” — Mecca Cox

I think this will be my go-to weeknight meal for the next few weeks. No, wait, months probably.

Because, guys, we just brought home a little baby corgi brother for Butters. So to say my hands will be full with these two little buggers is clearly an understatement.

So enter the easiest weeknight chicken tacos ever.

With a simple spice rub – chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, garlic powder – the chicken is seasoned just right, thrown on the skillet and cooked through completely before dicing them up into bite-size pieces.

Serve in warmed tortillas with desired toppings – pico de gallo (store-bought shortcut is just fine here!), diced avocado, cilantro and freshly squeezed lime juice is my favorite combo right now!

These 15 Brands Have Officially Taken Over My Wardrobe

While I’m always seeking out cool new fashion labels to tell Who What Wear readers about (and add to my wardrobe), it occurred to me that my closet is stocked with a number of brands I wear on repeat. Yes, I’m always test-driving pieces from on-the-rise brands, but I’m a loyalist, so once a label wins me over, I’ll continue wearing it and telling all of my friends to buy its pieces as well. So which brands will you spot on my Instagram feed most often?

From just-launched labels I fell for immediately to heritage brands that are over a century old, affordable brands with pieces priced under $100 to luxury designers I’ve purchased investment pieces from that have a considerably low cost per wear, I wear these brands regularly and can personally vouch for each of them. Ahead, find out the fashion brands I wear more than any others. These are the ones I stand behind and will have in my closet for years and years ahead.

While Totême is new to my closet this year, it has quickly become one of my favorite brands. Its classic-meets-modern take on design perfectly fits in with my aesthetic, and I just can’t get enough of its pieces.

When I’m packing for a vacation or getting dressed for the weekend, Réalisation is often the first brand I turn to. Its printed dresses take up a considerable amount of real estate in my closet.

When it comes to swimwear, Matteau is a brand I can’t recommend enough. The Australian label designs timeless pieces that are trend-resistant—meaning, you can have them long past just one season.

Shop the matching High Waist Bikini Briefs ($135).

Nanushka is a darling of the fashion world, so you ‘re sure to see it all over your Instagram feed. While it has a range of pieces that include beautiful satin dresses and cool bags, it is perhaps best known for its vegan leather designs, like the separates I’m wearing here.

Marina Raphael is another newcomer in my closet, but the accessories brand is definitely one to add to your radar. Its Sienna bag has become indispensable ever since I started wearing it. The sleek circle bag transitions easily from night to day, meaning I can bring it everywhere from the office to a dinner party. And the Swarovski crystal details on the handle add a beautiful, elegant touch.

Time and time again, I return to Reformation for on-trend pieces at an affordable price point. One of my favorite recent finds? This floral top with puffy sleeves and a corset-style bodice.

French label Jacquemus designs pieces that land on my wish list every season and just exude cool. With the number of fashion girls I spot wearing the brand on the regular, I’m certainly not alone with my admiration for the cult brand.

When it comes to brands I love and admire, Dior is one I can’t get enough of. While I love everything the label is doing now, I frequently dig into the archives and wear vintage pieces like this saddle bag.

Cult Gaia first landed on my radar years ago with its signature bags but has since grown into a full-fledged fashion label with clothes I can’t get enough of.

Pia Arrobio designs her collection for LPA with an approach that is at once wearable and cool. I regularly turn to the brand for pieces to stock my weekend wardrobe at an under-$200 price point.

Of all the luxury designers, Chanel sits at the very top of my list, and these toe-cap slingbacks are one of my best investments from the brand.

In my opinion, finding a great pair of sunglasses is often one of the most challenging fashion purchases, but I always recommend Krewe. The brand takes classic shapes as a starting point then breathes new life into them with design details. Its Milan sunglasses are one of the most-worn pairs I own.

I wear pieces from London-based jewelry brand Daphine nearly every day. Its designs take basics like simple rings and necklaces and add details that make them feel anything but ordinary.

Australian brand With Jéan designs great affordable dresses and tops that I always reach for on the weekends and vacations.

The Experts Have Spoken: These 4 New Brands Are Worth Your Time (and Money)

If you try hard enough, you can discover a new brand every day thanks to Instagram and the world wide web, but deciphering which is actually worth investing in takes a professionally trained eye. We love reporting on the newest up-and-comers on the block, but for this story, we wanted to get an expert’s opinion on the fresher brands that are officially worth your time and money. Celenie Laura Fleur Seidel, senior womenswear editor at Farfetch, selected four brands that are exactly that—Asai, Studio Amelia, Cecilie Bahnsen, and Wandler.

You’re probably familiar with brands like Cecilie Bahnsen and Wandler, but don’t forget that it wasn’t too long ago that they too were newbies (they just happened to gain steam a bit faster than some of their counterparts). The idea here is not necessarily to introduce you to never-heard-of-before brands; it’s to inform you that the four clothing brands ahead are becoming more established by the second, meaning yes, they are worth all your time and all your money.

After reading Celenie’s reviews of each, you’ll be ready to add all of the following products to your cart ASAP, so go on and get shopping.

“London-based Asai first appeared on the London Fashion Week schedule in 2017 as a part of the Fashion East incubator. With a strong focus on textiles, particularly fabric manipulation, Asai’s collections are super textured and visually rich. He’s best known for his standout paneled tie-dye tops, which are much sought-after and will hopefully appear as a continuity style in collections to come.”

“Created between London and Sydney, Studio Amelia’s barely there sandals have fast become my new favorites. Finding footwear with a design that can stand alone yet can simultaneously avoid competing with an outfit is a rare find, and Emily Inglis (Studio Amelia’s founder and creative director) nails the brief. I can personally vouch for their comfort levels: the insole is delightfully padded!”

“The world is still experiencing a love affair with Danish designers, and Copenhagen-based Cecilie Bahnsen is one well worth acquainting yourself with. Truly romantic in aesthetic, Bahnsen’s dresses tap a delicate sweet spot between minimal and feminine and are easily fallen in love with. Her collaboration with Suicoke to create delicately decorated hiking-mom sandals are one for the wish list, keep an eye out for them!”

“Wandler is truly for fashion girls: Amsterdam-based designer Elza Wandler is incredibly in tune with what customers want, and her sense of fun extends the idea of having fun with your wardrobe to your accessories. She has recently introduced a footwear line to her brand [she started out with bags], and I’m especially in love with her two-tone mules—also key for this season are the tie-dye and zebra bags.”
