‘It Chapter Two’: Pennywise Is Nightmare Fuel in New Teaser Trailer

Halloween is closer than you think. But one reliable bellwether of the approaching spooky holiday is already on TV daily: trailers for horror movies. Quality horror, that is, not the dreck that gets dropped offseason. Like IT Chapter Two, the highly-anticipated follow-up to IT.

The first installment set box office records for the genre and with good reason—it was well-made, well-written, and flat-out terrifying.

If trailers coming out for Chapter Two are any indication, it could even raise the bar. The latest example is the relatively brief IMAX teaser above. It moves along with a sense of dread, sure, but saves the nightmare fuel for the last few frames. Which if you haven’t seen it yet, we won’t give away. But you might jump.

As a refresher, here’s the IT Chapter Two synopsis and cast list from Warner Bros:

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “It Chapter Two” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain (“Zero Dark Thirty,” “Mama”) stars as Beverly, James McAvoy (“Split,” upcoming “Glass”) as Bill, Bill Hader (HBO’s “Barry,” “The Skeleton Twins”) as Richie, Isaiah Mustafa (TV’s “Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments”) as Mike, Jay Ryan (TV’s “Mary Kills People”) as Ben, James Ransone (HBO’s “The Wire”) as Eddie, and Andy Bean (“Allegiant,” Starz’ “Power”) as Stanley. Reprising their roles as the original members of the Losers Club are Jaeden Martell as Bill, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie, Finn Wolfhard as Richie, Sophia Lillis as Beverly, Chosen Jacobs as Mike, and Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben. Bill Skarsgård returns in the seminal role of Pennywise.

In the novel by Stephen King, the adult members of the Losers Club had virtually forgotten their terrifying childhood encounters with Pennywise, save for Isaiah Mustafa’s Mike, who stayed in the Maine town where so many spooky things happen.

They don’t fully recall until they’re back in town and trying to figure out just what they’re doing there, and Pennywise is around to serve as a helpful and horrific reminder.

If there’s one movie that’s likely to totally dominate the fall box office, it’s this one.

IT Chapter 2 slithers into theaters September 6.

Kaia Gerber Wore Fall’s Biggest Denim Trend With Fall’s Biggest Ankle Boot Trend

It’s safe to say that by mid-August, summer outfit fatigue has set in, and most of us are ready to move out of summer’s sandals and shorts and into fall’s boots and jeans. Kaia Gerber seems to be in agreement, based on her outfit for a night out in L.A. earlier this week. Gerber’s crop top, oversize blazer, and designer logo bag were certainly on point, but let’s turn the focus to her jeans and boots, shall we?

The model went with two very on-trend fall 2019 staples to round out the outfit: non-cropped straight-leg jeans and square-toe ankle boots. As fall inches nearer, we predict that this combination is something that everyone will be wearing on repeat. And considering how cool Gerber looks, you’re probably going to want to too.

Cautious Browns Fan Not Expecting Team To Do Better Than 13-3

CLEVELAND—Taking a “wait-and-see” approach before becoming too emotionally invested in this year’s team, cautious Browns fan Murray Fields told reporters Friday that he wasn’t expecting the franchise to finish better than 13-3 this regular season. “I know some of my friends expect the Browns to have a great year, but…

You Can Now Own Steve McQueen’s Awesomely Retro Dune Buggy From ‘The Thomas Crown Affair’

Steve McQueen’s high-octane tear down the Massachusetts coast in The Thomas Crown Affair didn’t just add another page to the King of Cool’s venerable body of work, it single-handedly carved out an automotive segment known today as “dune buggies.”

Now you can buy the ride McQueen drove in the 1968 heist flick when it goes on sale through Bonhams’ Amelia Island Auction in Fernandina Beach, Florida next March.

The model is a Meyers Manx, which was produced by B. F. Meyers & Co. from 1964 to 1971. Being the gearhead that McQueen was, the acting legend worked closely with Pete Condos of Con-Ferr fame to upgrade the bright-orange off-roader with added power, bigger tires and more.

“Crown lives at the beach and he has a dune buggy. I helped them design it, so I’m kinda proud of that,” McQueen said in a period documentary about the film.

“It’s set on a Volkswagen chassis with big ol’ wide weenies – big wide tires on mag wheels, a [Chevrolet] Corvair engine stuffed in the back.”

“It’s very light, you know (because of the fiberglass body). It’s pulling about 230 horses and weighs about a thousand pounds.”

Given that the Persol shades McQueen wore in The Thomas Crown Affair fetched a whopping $70,200 last year, you’d better have at least six figures to bid on this badass retro ride.
