Turns Out You’re Applying Blush Incorrectly: Two Celeb Makeup Artists Sound Off
A rosy flush. A cherub cheek tint. That “just finished Barry’s Bootcamp” morning glow. There’s something about the perfect pop of rouge on your cheeks that evokes a fresh and healthy je ne sais quoi. While you might think that little pot of pink powder in your makeup bag is a product to reach for only when you are putting on a full face, think again.
There are variations of blush and flattering ways to apply it for every face shape and skin type: bouncy gelées, baked powders, glossy sticks, luminescent loose powders, blushes with a highlighter booster, and every flattering shade under the rainbow. With that in mind, we sat down with Ashlee Glazer and Lisa Aharon to give us the lowdown on getting the best cheeks of your life.
Should blush be included in your everyday, no-makeup makeup look? Celebrity makeup artist and on-air beauty expert Ashlee Glazer thinks so. “Blush is my favorite makeup product on every woman. It is the most flattering look for all ages. The universal goal is to add a touch of color, brighten up your complexion, and add softness to your overall look no matter what face shape you are,” says Glazer. We’re sold.
Additionally, when it comes to getting the perfect flush, the application process is everything. Lisa Aharon, a celebrity makeup artist whose clients include Rachel Brosnahan, Florence Welch, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Anna Kendrick, has a few tricks up her sleeve. “You can use your fingers (make sure they’re clean), a sponge, or a brush, depending on your comfort level and the type of blush you’re using,” says Aharon. “I like to tap or press in the blush so that it deposits the color evenly. If you need to blend it in further, use a foundation brush with a tiny bit of product patted on top. It becomes one with the skin this way,” she explains.
Ready for one last universal pro tip? Glazer swears her go-to blush trick will change your cheeks/face/life: “Place the two forefingers on the side of the nose and sweep up and out from the outside finger. It is flattering on everyone!”
Now, find specific tips for your face shape below:
Rosacea/Acne/Textured Skin: “If there’s texture on that area of the face (spots, scars, etc.), cream blush tends to draw attention to those, so I’d grab that powder,” says Aharon.
Normal/Dry Skin: “If your skin is crazy-dry, and the thought of more makeup isn’t for you, use a cream. I am a big fan of the blush sticks or liquid blushes that can be used all over,” says Glazer.

This French Girl’s Chic Spring Makeup Routine Costs $337
When a colleague told me that fashionable French girl Sabina Socol had taken to Instagram to share her entire spring makeup routine, I was onto her feed like a shot. Because while I mainly follow Socol for her chic outfits and classic French style, there’s one thing I’m obsessed with when it comes to the It girl: her blush.
Sure, it might sound a bit strange, but look at any photo on Socol’s feed and you’ll notice she’s sporting perfectly rosy, subtly flushed cheeks. And after watching her IGTV, it turns out that she absolutely loves the stuff. “I’m obsessed with blush, and I don’t care if I look like a clown,” said Socol. Truly a girl after my own heart.

Odell Beckham Jr. Drives a Browns-Themed Rolls Royce With a Motorized Hood Ornament Of Himself
If you ever get enough money, live like Odell Beckham Jr. No, not the destroying your body in the NFL part, we’re suggesting using Beckham as a model for crazy-fun choices in bling.
Like, you know, a personalized, Cleveland Browns-themed Rolls Royce distinguished by an automated little hood ornament of number 13 himself, Odell Beckham Jr.
This isn’t just another multimillionaire athlete buying something kinda nuts just because he can. Beckham, you see, received almost $22 million from the New York Giants not long ago, and then they traded him to the Browns for some reason.
To make some kind of statement, apparently, Beckham bought this tricked-out, Browns-themed orange Rolls Royce Cullinan and swapped the usual hood ornament for an action figure of himself in a Browns uniform, number 13 emblazoned on his chest, making the one-handed catch that made him famous in 2014 when he was still with the Giants. Watch the ornament in action above.
This wild mod came from North Carolina’s Dreamworks Motorsports, a shop that specializes in modifications of everything, in their words, “from bulldozers to Bentleys.”
The Cullinan is $325,000 off the lot, so you can only imagine how much Beckham’s, uh, “improvements” cost—this one-of-a-kind car has to easily be worth up to a half-mil at this point.
Yahoo Sports notes that Beckham is probably helping keep the garage in business:
Beckham is a frequent customer at Dreamworks: The company’s webpage shows the custom Mercedes-Benz G550 he gifted to his mother, a matte black Ford F-250 he gifted to his father (that matches his own Mercedes CLS 63 AMG), and a Rolls Royce Wraith sedan.
It’s easy to joke about the crazy way so many pro football stars sometimes choose to spend their money, but let’s admit it: you’re getting paid to crash into other men at high speeds in all weather. Once you begin to acknowledge just how taxing pro football must be, you can’t blame Beckham for spending on himself and on loved ones like that.
But you know, this is not a guy who gives too many damns. Even if you did criticize him, it’s not like he’d care.
He could just switch on that motorized hood ornament with a grin, and it’s hard to argue with what a boss move that would be.

Jessica Biel Wore These Sneakers 3 Times in One Week
In some ways, Jessica Biel is just like us (in many others, not so much). One way is her frequent tendency to wear jeans or leggings and sneakers. Probably due to the fact that she’s been famous for a really long time, and her style can be more accessible than other celebs, people really want to know exactly what Biel is wearing whenever she’s photographed—especially when it’s something she’s worn repeatedly. Speaking of which, Biel has been out and about in Los Angeles a lot over the past couple of weeks and has been wearing classic white sneakers for many of those outings.
The pair that we spotted her wearing three times in one week is Frye’s Ivy Low Lace Sneakers, which come in at just under $200. It may seem like a lot for sneakers, but they have a five-star rating on both Shopbop and Nordstrom, with many reviewers saying that they’re the perfect white sneakers—their unique slightly pebbled leather might have something to do with that.
Over the past week, Biel paired the sneakers with leggings, jeans, and sweatpants, and they successfully elevated each of the casual styles. You’re destined to wear them at least as frequently as Biel does. Keep scrolling to see how she styled them and shop them for yourself.

Watch Zac Efron Hit the Gym With a Bunch of Victoria’s Secret Models
In the latest episode of his YouTube series “Gym Time,” Zac Efron works up a sweat with a posse of Victoria’s Secret Models in a video fittingly titled “Earning my Victoria’s Secret Angel Wings.”
Alongside the angelic Jasmine Tooks, Sara Sampaio, Josephine Skriver, and Kelsey Merrit, the group does some fast-paced full body circuit training so that Efron can get his angel wings and see how the stunning models stay in tip-top shape.
The models and honorary VS Angel Efron sweated their way through elevated crunches, Russian twists, pull up rows, sumo squats, dumbbell curls, and a competitive game of basketball.
The grueling but fun workout was led by trainer John Gaines, and almost makes hitting the gym look like fun. But not all of us are as jacked as the “Baywatch” actor and his lingerie model pals.
In past episodes of “Gym Time,” Efron felt the burn with actress Nina Dobrev:
