Heaven’s Door Celebrates Bob Dylan With Two Exclusive Whiskeys

Bob Dylan’s Heaven’s Door Spirits announced two limited-edition whiskeys ahead of the their hotly anticipated Nashville facility’s 2020 grand opening.

The first, Heaven’s Door 10 Year Tennessee Straight Bourbon, is the one to watch for right now.

They’re down to the last two barrels of the distillery’s inaugural expression—a  full-bodied bourbon that’s mellowed with sugar maple, finished in white oak barrels and corked at 100 proof.

Each bottle arrives in a package that fans of the folk legend will love. A commemorative box is adorned with an inscription of Dylan’s hand-typed lyrics to the seminal singles “Maggie’s Farm” and “Subterranean Homesick Blues.”

Heaven’s Door also offered the first details on the upcoming Bootleg Series of rare whiskies, which are named after Dylan’s famous albums of the same name.

The exclusive collection’s initial release will be a 25-year-old whiskey finished in oak casks made of Japanese Mizunara Oak, one of the most expensive woods in the world. Priced at $500 for a fifth, it will be available in very limited quantities for the 2019 holiday season—more details to come.

Bob Dylan wants you to try a bottle of Heaven’s Door.

Meanwhile, you can pre-order one of the last bottles of Heaven’s Door 10 Year Old 100 Proof Tennessee Straight from Reserve Bar for $130 while supplies last.

‘Watchmen’ Trailer: HBO Unveils First Look At New Superhero Series

We don’t know when HBO’s Watchmen will be released and Game of Thrones is sucking all the air out of the room anyway. But this new trailer for the Damon Lindelof series—based on Alan Moore’s popular graphic novel—will definitely prompt some interest in finding out.

Because simply put, this looks seriously intense. We even get Don Johnson in a cowboy hat.

Lots of Rohrschachs

The trailer begins with a room full of men wearing the masks similar to the one sported by Rohrschach, the grim vigilante who acts as the narrator of some of the most interesting parts of the Moore original. It’s a church-like setting, and that’s clearly intentional. From there we see quick, intimidating glimpses of the alternate timeline in which this story takes place.

In the Watchmen universe superheroes are considered outlaws and for good reason. The plot of Moore’s novel only underscores this, after one of them causes a bizarre disaster that devastates New York. It appears that this series will jump ahead from the 1980s in which the book was set to a period analogous to today.

Other than that, we don’t know precisely what’s happening in the plot.

We’ll just have to be ready to find out when Watchmen debuts later in 2019. Until then, it’s like the masked men in the trailer say: “Tick-tock.”

Georgia Governor Signs Bill Outlawing Abortion Except For Single 30-Second Window On Third Day Of Fourth Week Of Pregnancy

This Is the Chicest 2019 Trend, According to Sienna Miller

From minimalism to camp, there are plenty of amazing trends tempting us, but Sienna Miller has her eyes on one in particular right now: the ’90s. What’s old is new again, right? Miller stars in Jimmy Choo’s first-ever In My Choos editorial for pre-fall 2019, which was inspired by the stylish decade.

“[The ’90s were] the chicest moment: Women in oversize blazers and very little makeup, and no one looked like they were trying too hard,” Miller says. “I get sad looking back and seeing these pre–social media days where people were wild and reckless, and nothing was contrived or overthought. There were these original moments in fashion even though they didn’t feel it at the time.”

In the editorial, Miller also spoke about how her approach to life has changed now that she’s in her late 30s. “I feel much more grounded and settled in myself,” Miller says. “I feel calmer and happy. I look back on myself in my twenties, and I had an amazing time, but there was no root, nothing was holding me to the ground. I love that feeling of wisdom that comes with age. I am absolutely not willing to tolerate things that I would have tolerated before, and everything about life seems to become more and more enriching the older that I get.”

Who could argue with that? Scroll down to see and shop Miller’s ’90s-inspired Jimmy Choo editorial.
