In ‘Any Other Place,’ Struggling With The Feeling That Something’s Not Right

Most of the people Michael Croley’s debut story collection feel like they don’t belong, even in the places they call home — and Croley conjures that unsettled feeling in understated, beautiful prose.

‘Black Ice’ Limited Edition Persols Are Already Cult Favorites

It’s hard to improve upon the classic Persol 714 sunglasses famously worn by “The King of Cool” himself, Steve McQueen.
But that didn’t stop the shades obsessives at online boutique Eyegoodies from trying to make these iconic foldable frames even cooler.

The Persol 714SM X Custom Projects, Black Ice limited-edition adds black hole-hued polarized lenses made by Nikon to the already special edition 714SM.

The polarized specs are then finished with a “multilayer Black Ice mirror” which, according to Eyegoodies, “provide the sharpest visual acuity in even the harshest conditions.”

Problem is, the Persol Black Ice shades sold out soon after they debuted at Eyegoodies online store.
So if you’re a hardcore sunglasses collector, you’ll likely have to shell out even more than the $420 original price if you’re lucky enough to track down a pair.
Let’s hope they make another batch of these badass beauties soon.

This Controversial Wedding Trend Is Becoming a Thing
When it comes to wedding guest attire, we’ve shared everything from the dos and don’ts for every type of wedding, how I scored this epic dress that got me so many compliments at a friend’s wedding, and the best shoes to wear for your next summer wedding. Let me preface you by saying I’ve been in three weddings this summer, so the majority of my weekend plans and conversations revolve around planning or traveling to my next wedding destination. Read on for the bridesmaid trend I’m surprisingly on board with.

Spanish Brides Are Obsessed With This Wedding Dress Trend
Wedding season is upon us. What will the best dressed brides be wearing on their big days? Well, we tapped an expert to find out Spanish brides in particular will be donning—and you might want to take notes. We asked Hervé Moreau, creative director of stunning Barcelona-based bridal brand Pronovias, for his take on what women in Spain are loving right now, and it’s a trend we can definitely get behind.
“In Spain, women tend to gravitate toward more traditional styles with modern updates, such as a sleek crepe dress with a V-cut back that has beautiful lace detailing—they have an incredibly classic feel but very fresh,” Moreau told Who What Wear. “Spanish women have an effortless air to the way they dress, and their wedding dresses are often an extension of their personal style.”
We also asked Moreau how Spanish women’s wedding dresses differ from French or American women, and he clarified how they stand out from their stylish counterparts. “Spanish women tend to gravitate to a more traditional silhouette with modern and seductive details, such as a deep cut back or an illusion neckline.”
