Oh, So This Is How Celebs Dress Up Leggings in 2019

When you think of the ideal legging outfit, ensembles featuring sweatshirts and sneakers probably come to mind. After all, the whole point of wearing the stretchy pants is to be comfortable, and those coordinating athleisure staples help lean into that overall chill vibe. But actually, more and more people—especially celebrities—are wearing leggings as almost a skinny-jean replacement for their dressed-up vibes.

That’s right, A-listers from Victoria Beckham to Kate Moss are pairing their leggings with blazers and ankle boots. TBH, I was kind of stunned to see this as a new It-girl uniform. But hey, how could you not be into an ensemble that’s comfortable and sophisticated? Exactly. So with that, I’m showcasing how five celebs are elevating their leggings right now. Plus, I’m shopping the must-have staples to achieve each look as well.

7 Pieces Celebs Are Buying From Reformation

I’m a big fan of Reformation’s effortless pieces, and I’m not the only one. It turns out celebrities are as well: Yes, everyone from Meghan Markle to Kaia Gerber to Emily Ratajkowski are fans of pieces from the Los Angeles–based brand. And here’s the good news—there are plenty of pieces from Reformation that celebs are buying that are still in stock.

Many of the pieces are soon to sell out, so I recommend acting quickly.

9 Pieces Required to Pull Off Streetwear in 2019

In the fashion world, the word “hypebae” has become synonymous with cool women’s streetwear. There’s no question that hypebaes are arbiters of all things cool. A hypebae’s Instagram is a steady stream of the latest sneaker drops, a high dose of logo pieces, and the most noteworthy street style looks from across the globe. As we’ve landed on 2019, I turned to hypebae style to see which items are required to pull off streetwear in the New Year.

What are the cool off-duty items you’ll want to add to your closet? From the most coveted designer logos to the buzzy color everyone is talking about to the sneakers that are everywhere, I’m breaking down all of the ones you need to know about. Ahead, see which streetwear items are in high demand right now and then shop the nine pieces you’ll find in any hypebae’s closet in 2019.

Meghan Markle and I Agree That This Controversial Trend Is Cool

It’s no secret that I’ve yet to (and likely never will) hop on the Meghan Markle bandwagon. Like I’ve said before, she’s fine and all, but of all the royals who’s style we stalk on a weekly basis, she’s just not my favorite. That’s why, when I recently noticed her step out in a pair of rather forward (and somewhat controversial) cow-print heels—a bubbling print trend I had already been planning to write about—I was admittedly taken aback.

Could it be that the duchess and I are actually on the same page for once? More importantly, this also seems to solidify my theory that cow print is most definitely on the up and up. With brands from Victoria Beckham and Manolo Blahnik to Topshop and Mango already offering it—and more to look forward to, such as this epic outfit from Tory Burch’s pre-fall collection set to launch later this year—cow print seems to be the freshest way to continue iterating on the animal-print craze right now, and I’m all for it.

To see how Meghan Markle and I both wore the trend, plus how some our favorite girls on Instagram do, and to shop the trend for yourself, just keep scrolling.

I have to admit that these (sold-out) Gianvito Rossi heels are pretty epic.

Similar to Meghan, I also styled my cow-print piece (Staud’s Nic bag) with an otherwise simple outfit, adding Western-inspired boots for a complimentary touch.
